HORRIBLE SERVICE. I would never do business with Dominion Electric again. Nicole at Dominion Electric knows her stuff. Theres no doubt about that. But be warned. Dominion was handed the contract on our $600,000 renovation, and for that, what I got was 3 hours of Nicoles time. Shes knowledgeable and efficient, but when I asked if she could come visit the house (which is 5 minutes away) to provide landscape lighting advice, she said "Sorry. Time is money!" Then the problems mounted: She pushed us to upgrade one fixture based on a feature she said wed love, and it turned out not to have that feature. Sorry, no refunds. When she ordered and delivered too many recessed fixtures and overpriced bulbs, leaving us with extras after the project was done, they refused to take them back. Sorry, no refunds. When one of the sconces she recommended was oversized and out of proportion for the space, I had to sell it on eBay for half what I paid. Sorry, no refunds. You pay a premium to work with Dominion, but dont expect premium service.

Professional electrical supply. Reasonable prices. Know what you want, and call ahead to have will call order picked and ready for pickup. DIY customers can buy here, but, it is best if you know your electrical parts vocabulary, and can find item descriptions on the web. Questions about electrical code may get answered if the counter queue is shallow, but, otherwise, you should know the part numbers, quantities, and characteristics. Example, "I want some wire to fix a lamp," in electrical terms is "8 feet of 14-2, stranded, copper zip-cord /lamp cord, clear or beige rubber or plastic coated."

I have been depending on Dominion Electric for my clients lighting for the last 10 years. Mary, my client, want and Ochre ($$$) chandelier and 4 other fixtures. I called Nicole and she spend 4 hours sending me links for lights that Dominion carried that thrilled my client. She was thrilled because she saved thousand of dollars and Nicole knew just what was stylish and appropriate for the space. I would not feel comfortable using another lighting company. They give me excellent service from the beginning to the delivery. Linda

Went in needing wiring and a couple junction boxes to hold the splices of two rerouted light switches. When I asked the guy behind the counter if he could confirm I had everything Id need he acted like he was doing a me favor just acknowledging I was in his presence and when I asked him if my plan was to code he immediately said I should have an electrician do the work. So, I decided to buy my components elsewhere. They will never have my business and I recommend everyone take their business elsewhere.

Dominion is a great resource for all types of lighting. The showroom can at times be overwhelming with the amount of stuff they have on display, so it is recommended to make an appointment with one of the sales staff for the best experience. They have a good range of products that can fit all budget ranges. I saved money by buying my new kitchen lights there rather than buying elsewhere or even ordering online.

Im rating this store as good solely based on my experience with one employee, Dave Konstantin. He was very helpful writing with us to figure out what we needed in our remodel. Overall, Dominion seems to have good quality products, many stocked.

Walked into the Dulles location and within a few minutes walked right out....totally ignored by the sales staff....not my idea of customer service at all....and I had a hefty budget too....guess another company will get my business.
