Where to begin... My wife and I bought a great dining room set, beautiful table and chairs. Thought after we bought it, they delivered it and set up it up we would be set for a few years. How I was wrong and this maybe blowing this out of proportion but still the service was horrible. One of chairs backs had cracked, upon seeing this I called JR Furniture and ask them if they could repair it, it was within 3 months so a standard return, exchange of repair should still be honored, in their contract they have you sign when you buy states that "All merchandise other than "as is" items, and should be free from defects or damage. If you need service please call our customer service department." Simple right? I called and an employee named Jim Podpah picked up and said that if I sent the pictures of the damage we could get the paper work going and get this fixed. I explained to Jim that the JR Furniture Hotmail (thats right a Hotmail address) was not accepting my emails of the damage. Jim tried to be helpful and asked if I could send it to his personal email and he could upload it and get it going. That worked and I thought I was finally getting somewhere. 1 Month later (No I did not mean day or week) 1 Month later, I have to call and they give me the same speech, can you send it to the JR furniture Hotmail please, I said I tried but the Hotmail account isnt taking my email. Finally fed up I go down to the store, picture in hand and speak with another employee. They look up our information and verify that 1. We did buy product from them and 2. They would take care of it; give us 3 to 5 days to contact you. Not trusting them, I wait 3 days and call them to see where we are at with the service order. Antonio picks up and says there are not in the process. If there is a silver lining to this story it is Antonio. Antonio used great service and asked if I could bring the chair down and exchange it for one of the chairs they have on their floor. Perfect, Ill be there in an hour I said. I came in and spoke with Antonio, I picked the best chair they had and exchange the damage one. When I was leaving Antonio said you saved me $99 for them to put a service order in. If that is true, then I have this to say but before I do if the JR Furniture higher up actually read these reviews. Please give Antonio a raise or something, he out of all the employees of the Hillsboro, OR store was the most helpful and please write up or have this reflect on Jim Podpah review for a raise, he was completely unprofessional and did not write me an email back stating the status or even when I asked him 3 weeks later for an update. I have this to say about JR Furniture, I would rather pay more money at Mor, or at good will than use JR again. I was made false promises and the fact that it sounds like they would not help me because they did not want to pay a simple $99 to send the chair back and make a new for their customer, then this company deserves to be empty of customers and should go out of business. You may be a presence in the Furniture world but you get more business from reviews like this and word of mouth from people rather than TV Ads. This will only show that you do not care for your customers and you would rather pocket money than spend it on quality of who you are, what you represent and keeping loyal customers. Finally, update your email! A Hotmail account? Are you serious? Gmail, yahoo or pay for your own email like an actually company would do. A Hotmail account is unprofessional, that is something a small business would use. If customers are complaining about your email and stating and showing that the email has failed on your end, get it updated!

This really should be a negative review. I really wish I would have read the reviews on this place before buying from here. There were no positives from purchasing from this place, I will now list the negatives.. Like all of the other reviews, it took well over a month to get my product, promised in 2 weeks, when I finally went to pick up the boxes they forgot to give me some of them. Bed broke within a week of having it, an employee asked me to text multiple pictures of the problem but after doing that I never heard back from anyone. Finally got a hold of a guy who said the parts were on order (they werent). Get a hold of the "manager" who told me that he needs to visually inspect the damage, this has now been over 2 months of me calling on a weekly basis and being told "they are on order". He comes over, sure enough the bed is broken just like the pictures I sent him. He is now going to order it.. Wait another month, never heard back. He then tells me that he has to meet his minimum order requirement to place the order.. Which means it still hasnt been ordered. Why doesnt their product have a warranty? That should concern any future buyers. They have to buy an entire new bed to replace parts because they dont carry warranties on their products. They finally deliver the broken part, except for they dont, they deliver someone elses cabinet instead. The manager frantically calls me wanting to come pick the part up, the only reason i ended up getting my part replaced (5 months later) was because they mistakenly dropped off the cabinet so I held it hostage until I got my replacement parts. Thank god for their incompetence or I would have been waiting the rest of my life for them to fix a simple issue. I will never shop here again, and I am warning all of you to never shop here either. Notice how the owner only responds to positive review, instead of trying to fix the negative reviews.

I would not give even 0 I just bought three leather sofas from JR Furniture in Hillsboro on 3rd March 2017, was told that they will deliver by 03/22/2017, the day came and there was a call saying that it will be delayed for another week, so I called the store and then talked with the Store Manager Antonio, He said that he is not able to help with the delivery. I told him to return the deposit back. I called the Lady that i had dealt with and also called the corporate at Gresham. The next minute I get a call saying that they will deliver the next day. The next day the furniture was delivered but found that they had delivered the floor model. I called the store and talked to the manager Antonio and he said that it was new and was opened in frontt of me. I told him that it is not new as the head rest of the sofa was not working as I had checked when i visited the store. Next He calls me and says that he will deliver 04/10/2017, I was okay with it. Yesterday got called that they could not deliver as the consignment didnt came through but will make it on Wednesday. Wednesday came and they gave me a time of 2hrs window. Then again I got called and said that my furniture did not came. I Called and talked to the Guy called Jim or John in the store and He was so rude in talking to me saying that he has nothing to do with him or Antonio. I strongly recommend that you run as far as possible and not shop there, they are a nightmare. I have since complained to the BBB and will continue to do so until I get some sort of satisfaction. I even called GM at Gresham and left a msg with the lady that works there. Hope he will sort it out
