I am not one to ever complain about a business, I completely understand mistakes happen, but after 5 different defective sets of furniture from Ashley Home Furniture, absolutely horrible customer service, endless lies, waiting for calls from the company, etc. I would give them a negative star rating if I could. We purchased a sectional, chair & ottoman in March. The sectional didnt fit together & they suggested we buy shims to prop it up 4 inches on 1 side, after they told us it was our fault and our floor was uneven. We brought out different levels to prove it wasnt our floor with the issue. There was also a rip in the leather ottoman which they colored in with a sharpie marker to fix. A few weeks later they deliver a new sectional...same problem. The store wouldnt take any responsibility and told us to call corporate customer service, who blamed the manufacturer of the sectional. After the 3rd defective sectional was delivered, we decided to choose an entire new sofa, love seat & coffee table. The sofa & love seat arrived with holes in them. The legs were so uneven on the sofa it felt like we were sitting on a teeter-totter. The delivery guy suggested we remove the legs it was so bad. As we were promised numerous phone calls back, we never received them. In fact one customer service rep told us we werent benefiting Ashley by returning the defective products. Meanwhile we have wasted 5 Saturdays sitting around waiting for deliveries. Today, over 4 months since our original purchase, they were going to bring us our 5th set of furniture between 3-6pm. By 6:00pm we hadnt heard anything, so we called the store manager to inform him how dissatisfied we were, he said there was simply nothing he could do. We were offered $35 per piece of furniture for our inconvenience from customer service. That is not a typo, that is $35.00! We informed him we were simply done, we would be returning the defective merchandise & would like a refund. He said it would be fine for us to just leave the furniture outside our house and the delivery guys would pick it up. He told us we could not come into the store to get a refund because even though he was the store manager, he was not authorized to do that. I would NEVER EVER recommend purchasing a single thing from them! EVER. I would run in the exact opposite direction of this store. No deal is worth the poor quality or the horrible customer service.

WORST ASHELY FURNITURE STORE IN AMERICA. The sales representatives are con-artist ( they are worst then used car salesmen). Although they are very nice when you first meet them simply because they want your money, but once youve made that purchase they become DEVILS in disguise. They will tell you that youll receive your items in 2 to 3 weeks but in more like 6 to 12 weeks if your lucky. If something is wrong with your furniture, good luck with getting a replacement and dont hold your breath for a refund. If you call more than once inquiring on a date of when youll get your furniture, the sales representatives will duck and dive you but if your lucky to get your rep on the phone, dont worry he/she will tell you want you want to here and end the conversation with Ill call you Monday ( and please dont wait by the phone for that call because it isnt coming). The HR. personel whom I believe is the supervisor over the sales representatives is even worst, she is very rude, dismissive and condescending right from the start. She is the personel who processes refunds if you are one of the lucky few who will receive one. A PEICE OF ADVICE..... If you do decide to purchase furniture from the ashely furniture store ( not that you would ) in cedar rapids on the sw side, INSPECT YOUR FURNITURE AS IF IT IS A STRANGER KNOCKING AT YOUR DOOR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, upon delivery because if you accept the furniture then look it over and want a replacement or refund, you will get referred to the customer service call center and will have to look up the number ( apparently they dont know it right off hand and are to busy to look it up for you ). So if something is wrong with your furniture upon placing in your home, REFUSE THE HELL OUT OF IT, REFUSE, REFUSE REFUSE IT. GOOD LUCK cause youll need it !!!!

I came to Ashley Furniture because my mother wanted to buy a new couch. Our first trip to the store we were impressed with the huge variety they had to offer. We took our time looking at all the couches and walked though out the whole store in about 20 mins. During that 20 mins no one came up to us to try and help us even though we were one of the 3 cars parked outside. I noticed they had amazing sales on bedsteads, I have been wanting to buy one for awhile now. I saw one I liked and told my mom well have to come back which we did. Our second trip to the store we walked around the store for half an hour just trying to find someone to help us. Finally we found a saleslady. We ended up ordering the bedstead on Feb 20th, it took her 45 mins to file the paper work. 45 mins!! Finally the saleslady handed us our paper work and told us the bed would arrive in 3 weeks. 3 weeks came, 3 weeks went. At 4 weeks I called the store to ask what was going on the lady assured me it would be here within the next week. At 6 weeks I called again and they said itd be in on that Friday. I finally got the call. I arranged to pick it up the soonest I could. At this point Im thinking, Yes! Its finally done and I can enjoy my new bed. But, sure enough I get home and GUESS WHAT!? The side rails and bed posts arent even the ones that go on my bed!? I ordered a wooden bedstead and half of the pieces are fake marble. What the hell!? Ever since the beginning my experience with Ashley Furniture has been atrocious. Save your time and money and go to a much better furniture store!!

We had Jen Stevens as our sales clerk. What a wonderful experience! She was so helpful. She answered all of our questions and was so knowledgeable about the products. We were looking at a leather sectional. She really helped us take a look to figure out if it would fit. We finally decided it wasnt going to fit well in our space. She knew the features we were looking for and was able to go immediately to 3 different couches that we liked. She did not show us anything that we would have rejected. I appreciated how she valued our time and our design opinions. She was very willing to help with any request. My husband was in engineering and wanted to measure everything. She was right there holding tape measures to help us see if the furniture would fit. She answered all of our questions. We finally decided on a couch and love seat that will be perfect. When we asked about side tables, she showed us ones that were the within the space and design we were trying to capture. She knew exactly where everything in the store was. When I asked about something she could take us directly to the item. We also bought 2 end tables that will be perfect. Jen exceeded our expectations as a sales clerk. You could tell she was genuinely wanting to help us find what would work for us. ALL of her suggestions were items that would work for us. So, she was personable, knowledgeable, design savvy, prompt, ....I could go on and on. When we come back to look/purchase other furniture, we will definitely ask for Jen. I would give her an A++++++.
