This store has very bad customer service and I would never return to purchase anything from them. I had been looking for a few weeks for my first motorcycle and came across the website for the Used Bike Emporium. They listed several bikes that I was interested in at pretty good prices. I wanted to buy a motorcycle from a licensed dealer because of the 30 day warranty and 60 day tags. I also learned on the phone that they would accept my credit card for the motorcycle without any extra charges. The location is about 60 miles away from me, and so I decided to head out there one day to bring a motorcycle home. I was determined to go through with the purchase the same day because the pictures looked great, and I wanted to have one right away. The store closed at 6:00 pm so I left home around 4 thinking Id get there by 5. But after sitting in 495 crawling traffic for 2 hours I knew I wasnt getting there by 6. So I decided to give them a call and the owner was nice enough to stay a little late for me, and I got there at 6:15. But when I saw the actual bikes they did not look as good as the pictures had seemed. They had a lot of scratches and dents, and I saw at least one tear in a seat. None of these had been mentioned on the website. I sat on two or three of the bikes and asked a few questions to the owner. After seeing the condition of the motorcycles I wasn’t so sure of my purchase and whether they were actually worth the advertised price. At this point I was merely trying to decide whether I should go through with the purchase or not, and I mentioned to the owner that “they don’t look as good as they did in the pictures.” He then said “ok, let’s go” and made us walk out. He said in a very rude manner how we were just “wasting time” and did not even give us a chance to make a decision. It was almost as if he just pushed us out the door, and made it seem like he had done us a huge favor by staying late for 15 minutes past the closing time. There was no effort on his part to sell us any motorcycle and we didn’t even get to negotiate a price. As a paying customer I would expect to be treated a lot better than I was and I would also want to be sure about the money I am spending. He could’ve politely asked us to return at another time if he really couldn’t stay late. He never tried to ask me what type of motorcycle I wanted to buy or what I should be looking for in a first motorcycle. It definitely wasn’t worth the four hours on the road to go to this place. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, and I will never return there no matter what the price.

I was buying my first bike here about 4 years ago. I purchased a Honda cruiser which was used, and was told it was in perfect condition. I was recommended by my instructor to this place so I thought I could trust his recommendation along with the owners words. SADLY, i was mistaken. Within 3 days of buying my bike, the clutch broke. I called the Used Bike Emporium and asked if it was covered under the warranty, and they said "yes". So I paid $120 to tow the bike (after spending $3,000 on it) to bring it back up to the shop. When I got back to the shop, the owner Lumadu (however you spell his name) told me that I was "RIDING THE CLUTCH" and I caused the problem. I laughed in his face since I never ride the clutch, it was my first bike, and I was thoroughly instructed on how to ride (I never popped wheelies or did stunts). Then he tried to be slick and say Ill cut you a deal on the repair...$460. I told him to hell with him, and I towed the bike to C and L cycle. I asked every mechanic I knew "how could a clutch break down only after 3 days of riding with a bike in good condition"...there answer --> you were sold a lemon. After $1500 dollars later, Ive thoroughly brought the bike up into a much better state/condition. I replaced the clutch, gave the bike a tuneup, fixed the leaking fork seals (another hidden problem the owner hid from a me (a new rider), fixed the tire rot, and fixed the damaged radiator. 4 years later, Im still riding my Honda cruiser. However, no new rider should have to experience these woes AND this much expense for their first bike within the first 3 days of ownership. I wish I had listened to all the other shops horror stories about this place. Be warned...his nice smile hides his inner self...a greedy corrupt businessman who cares more about his gain than your satisfaction.

Too bad this shop is so insulting to servicemen and women. John Lumadue (Jr. Maybe?), a stocky red headed 20 or 30 something works there and was so degrading to us that I walked out. He seemed insulted that I would not buy a bike from him "under the table". I looked at the bike before he approached me and I saw the fork seals were leaking and the crankcase was dripping oil (and this was in their showroom). When I asked about Maryland inspection, he said it wont pass but he should be able to do something with the inspector. When I asked about a different bike, he got irate and said if that bike was not good enough for me then get out. I was shocked as the second bike was a much newer cbr that was 8k more expensive. He then proceeded after I asked him if this was how he treated servicemen and women (i was wearing my service blues) and had my two young children with me (they are 9 yrs old & 19 mos old) and he proceeded to unleash such a level of profanity and insults to both myself and my children, that two other employees had to escort me out. John called the police and of course I waited for them. When they got the story, the officer took me to the side and told me that this is not the first time this employee has tried to instigate a confrontation. In 17 yrs of service I have never been treated so disrespectfully by anyone. I am not saying that I am entitled to preferential treatment- I love my job) but hey when you step over the line and verbally insult a person especially with his young children there - then how will is anyone expected to respond? For the record the employees name is JOHN LUMADUE- i think Jr. He is in his 20s-ish and has red hair

Went in to have my Suzuki serviced. It was running rough therefore I had to have someone pick up my bike to take it there explain the symptoms to the younger service tech. They called me the next day and told me that nothing was wrong with the bike. So I arranged to be dropped off to ride bike home. As I left the building taking the bike home, it was discovered that the same symptoms still occurred. Had to take the bike back again. The tech then stated that the bike is very tricky and different. I believe he used the word weird. ( Its a Suzuki, same platform engine for other v twins.)Another $80, and he stated he couldnt find anything wrong. Wth! At this point I was done with this place. Ive taken my bike there in the past with no issues, cant say that now. Seems like they would willingly have me continue to take bike in and charge me and continue to give the "nothing is wrong response." What a scam. This redhead guy obviously has limited experience and didnt actually test my bike, nor is he familiar with different motorcycles. Now need to find a reputable shop that knows how to work on a bike.
