Re: 2013 Dodge Durango Service Advisor Tony My wife vehicle was towed to this dealership on Thursday 05/12/16. Tony calls me in the afternoon stating he needed a diagnostic approval of $600.00 since the motor had to be torn down because there was oil in a spark plug in order to find the problem. He proceeded to state that there was 1 car ahead of ours and that our motor would start being broken down within 2 of 3 days, being Monday or Tuesday. On Friday 05/13/16, I asked Tony for a rental for my wife and our kids and he stated he could not issue one since the problem had yet to be diagnosed and determined if it is under warranty but if I wanted one he could let me rent one for only a day before being charged for it. On Monday 05/16/16, I called around 5 PM after not hearing from anyone and Robert stated that we were still in line and there was 1 car ahead of ours. I asked him about a loaner and he said the same thing as Tony, until they diagnose the problem they cannot issue a loaner. Keep in mind at this point my issue was still not being able to get a loaner for my family. We have an extended warranty on the vehicle. I asked Robert what kind of car that is 3 years old requires to have the motor broken down due to motor issues and his simple response was "its a car and due to mechanical parts they can all have motor issues", really a 3 year old vehicle with 50,000 miles, I mean really. My 2003 Chevy Silverado has 185,000 miles and the only issues Ive had with it are fuel pump, alternator, and oil sensor all in the last 6 months but I expect that from a truck as old and with the miles it has. I call today 05/18/16 and spoke with Toni and guess what, theres is still 1 car ahead of ours and now instead of taking 2 to 3 days to get to ours he tells me its going to be Friday the 20th of May. Furthermore, the initial amount that we approved of $600.00 was for 6 hours worth of work, to tear down the motor and see what exactly is wrong which more than likely a gasket or the piston rings, and he now says the tear down will take the mechanic 2 days. By the way, they only have 1 mechanic who can work on engines. I requested to speak to his manager and or dealership manager and he stated he was that person and if I had any issues he was the person to go to since there was no one else above him. People, if you are in the market for a new car or service, please beware of this dealer ship. They are friendly when they sell you the car but once you buy it the experience is not nice what so ever. Tony and Robert are by any means customer service oriented. My wife and I own a landscape and fence company and when our clients have concerns their issues are addressed with 24 hours and not days. We were in the market to buy 4 Diesel Ram 2500 Mega Cab trucks for our company and with this experience our business will be going to Henna Chevrolet and not Mac Haik, Mac Haik can forget about my business. From previous reviews read, Ben will probably respond to this review but I will give him 1 recommendation before responding to me. Actions speak louder than words since it is easy to type a brief statement with an apology and in this case, means nothing to a consumer like me.

I wanted to express my deepest concerns regarding my recent visit to the service center to have my 2015 Jeep transmission looked at for jerky response when driving. I also wanted to have the oil changed and to have a Recall issue worked on involving the shifting system. I was shocked to hear that I would have to leave my Jeep with the Service Dept for 2-3 weeks for this to be taken care of? Are you kidding me??? Is someone actually going to be turning bolts on my Jeep every day for 2-3 weeks? Not likely as I am sure the Jeep will be collecting dust most of that time. The Service Manager R, Buckly stated that is indeed the fact that my vehicle will sit on the lot until the tech gets to it? I asked why cant an appointment be scheduled and Mr. Buckly stated this isnt the way it works. So Mac Haik Dodge may be good at selling vehicles up front and getting their brand on the road, they do not seem very encouraged to keeping their products running at premium performance after the sale. Who has time or funds to leave their vehicle at the dealership for a warranty repair and also have to pay for a rental vehicle. Are we supposed to call up the Mac Haik Shuttle each day to come take us to work? I purchased this vehicle at Mac Haik in Georgetown because I felt like I would be taken care of well by the sales department and the service department and in reality I am just being taken……… To Mr. Stapleton - Thank you for the delayed response. I am quite certain you would assist me in renting a vehicle from an affiliated associate like Enterprise. The deal is, I really think this is Mac Haiks method of trimming out warranty work because they know darn well people cant afford to be without their vehicle for weeks and pay for a rental. Why have an appointment book if the customer cant set an appointment. You pick a date in the future, maybe two weeks out, and you slot my vehicle in. Your tech comes to work that day and starts my vehicle and finishes it. Mac Haik simply hopes that the warranty customers will get discouraged and not return or go elsewhere as I am doing to get my Jeep warranty work done. I have owned many new vehicles, from Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge and now Jeep (Dodge Product). I have never had a dealership disregard the loyal warranty customer who will one day be looking for a new replacement vehicle like Mac Haik has done. I dont know who owns Mac Haik but I hope they do not support your warranty management practices. The sales team was outstanding and that is the one reason I purchased this Jeep at Mac Haik. Who knew how terrible the service department is. Oh, I should have known if I had only read all of the horrible reviews about the service department in advance. Shame on me. Mr. Stapleton, I wont go away quietly. I may get service at another location who values my loyalty as a Jeep owner, but I wont let Mak Haik off so easily with poor service. I hate that I cannot trust Mac Haik Ford or Mac Haik Dodge for either of my vehicles service needs and I have to take my vehicles to Hutto or Temple. I will do this because I have received far superior service from the competitor dealerships in the area. Very disappointed past customer

After a service department worker slammed into our golf cart and almost smashed my hand (not one person asked if we were ok) my time at the dealership didnt get much better. I went in to purchase a Jeep and because my credit is not that great I was given an offer that I needed to put down $18,000 and my monthly payments would be $1195. I was told that because of my credit that there was only a 9% chance of Chrysler getting me a loan (I had already been pre approved through Chrysler Bank). I was going to get a co-signer with a credit score of 734 and asked the salesperson to tell the finance manager to run his numbers with that score as a cosigner and let me know what we were looking at. The finance manager refused to do this and said we needed to do the online credit app. I didnt want the "hard look" on his report if I wasnt going to purchase vehicle. I was also told that my trade in was only worth $5000 per their look through of it. I explained that Kelly Blue Book said I should at least get $8000. I was told the dealership uses NADA to price the vehicles. We looked it up and per that website I should get at least $10,000 for my vehicle. No budge on that either. I was also told that my payoff amount was $13000 because they called and checked on it..which was a lie because I knew what it was when I walked in that day but I was not going to reveal it until I knew what my trade in was worth to them. The Finance Mgr. didnt care at all about me and working with me after he saw my credit..even though he knew I had a strong co-signer. Needless to say I walked out and my salesman did follow up with me and let me know that the Jeep I wanted had been sold. I explained that I was working with another dealer who was giving me "x" amount for my trade in but I would still be open to working with him if he could come back with a reasonable offer, etc. I wanted to stay with Mac Haik because that is where my boyfriend buys all of his trucks and he has always been impressed with the Ford dealership (unfortunately this has changed for him after my experience) I was told that because they sold the one I wanted they were sorry they couldnt get my business...really?!? You dont want to even try to get one from another dealer? Apparently this dealership has enough customers and they do not need my business. That would explain why when you pull up there are a gaggle of salesmen sitting on a golf cart with their feet up and on their phones (too busy being bored to care!) OHHH and also, I wanted to upgrade the wheel package on the Jeep and wanted to look at a catalog and we were told that because it is Saturday nobody was in the service department to help us or give us a catalog so we had to look on the internet. Why wouldnt you want to help me upgrade a vehicle so that your dealership got more money? There is a very shady, dont care mentality at this dealership. Some of the salesman walk around looking very angry and are not friendly at all. I find it funny reading the other complaints and how consistently awful they seem to be when people post their negative reviews.
