My daughter and i went to the Versailles store friday to get her a new goldfish to add to her fish bowl. We first spoke with the manager Michelle who was extremely nice and helpful. She did explain that it is not recommended to more than one fish in the size bowl we had and made suggestions on a larger tank as well as giving us helpful pamphlets. While we were talking a large man named Kyle came over and interrupted our conversation forcing michelle to step away. He proceeded to bad mouth her to us stating she does not know anything, she has no business being a manager and even threw in cusswords in front of my daughter topped with michelle needing to be smacked around and put in her place. He then proceeded to continue being very rude and made my young daughter cry. This is not acceptable and he has no business being around people. My daughter is still very upset at how bad he made her feel. We loved the store and employees like michelle who caught us as we were leaving and tried to apologize about how kyle acted. He needs to go before things escalate further. Someone who acts like that can be a liability. Please do not allow him to remain employed at such a great store. He aa)!

We have a female standard poodle named Phryne Fisher.....she is black and one year old. We have used Petco in Frankfort for grooming of this big baby from the very first! Phryne loves to go and enjoys the time and professional grooming from Ally and the others at Petco. We love the talent of this lady! She is so caring and loves the animals she works with! Ally moved to the new Petco store in Versailles, we did not even consider changing groomers... We called and had Ally again as our groomer. Hope she doesnt ever move again! She tries her best to make the best grooming of all animals. We as owners cant begin to do for our furry friends what the professionals at Petco can! We LOVE Petco! We have gone through the first class of dog training with Petco and intend to continue professional training of our Phryne with Petco in Versailles. Im not sure whether the dog gets trained or the owner! Once again we LOVE Petco!

I took my dogs a bichon and a shitzu to our new Petco in Versailles for grooming. Our previous groomer had been leaving mats in our bishons hair and not brushing him out fluffy or clipping his nails short. The groomer at Petco did a fabulous job she called me and explained that when she tried to demat our dog it was stressing him out and I told her to just go ahead and cut out the mats and cut him shorter. He looked awesome. She did a wonderful job of blending the areas that needed to go shorter because of the matting and she brushed him out so he was all fluffy like a cotton ball. Our shitzu was new to our family and had never been to a groomer before and she to looked adorable. I would highly recommend the groomers at the Versailles Petco.

I am very disappointed in the new Versailles Petco! I have been there 3 times and EVERY time Ive been there, nobody is working the cash register. Ive had to stand there with my two young kids waiting and waiting for someone to come let me pay. The last time I was there, a woman got some fish for me. She was very knowledgeable about the fish, which was nice, but as soon as we had our fish, she disappeared! We immediately went to pay and literally had to wait ~6-8minutes for someone to check us out! Isnt it common sense that if someone gets a fish, that they will most likely go pay for it right away!? Honestly, I am reluctant to go back again. Petco should be able to have enough people on staff to stand at or near the cash registers!

Ive taken my dog Ava here for grooming multiple times. The groomers are very kind and professional. They always give me the services that I ask for, and do everything they can to make sure my expectations are met. My dog is typically trimmed by Ali, and shes awesome!! Getting in to the grooming salon within the same week as my call is also very appreciated. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because I do feel the pricing is a little high, but they send lots of coupons that help me to offset the $55 cost. In fact, the last time I purchased dog food it was only around $8 for a premium brand thanks to the coupons I received during grooming.

One of the employees, named Ariel, refused to help or sale me a bark collar because she disagrees and doesnt like them. And tried to lecture me on how Im harming my animal. Even after I told her I didnt care what her personal views were she was disrespectful and very rude and wouldnt tell me about the collars or unlock the case so I could look at them. When I gave up and walked out she grinned like she had won something. I immediately drove to PetSmart in Nicholasville and the staff was very helpful and courteous. They have A+++ service. If you need pet items I recommend PetSmart, its worth the drive.

I took my dog to the trainer at Petco in Versailles, Ariel. She has been very nice and has helped us work towards the Canine Good Citizen test. She is also very knowledgeable about the equipment in the store and what equipment works best for the different types of dogs (size, age, etc.). I also take my dog there for grooming and I am always pleased with the result. My dog is a mini Australian Shepherd so she has a lot of hair! Ally always trims her hair and makes her look adorable!

Ann Roberts is the most sweetest honest Person Ive met in a long time!!she has the Knowledge and experience as a great trainer I really was hesitant about training didnt think it was worth my time..she proved me wrong and so did my puppy lol..her knowledge and loving animals the way she does I would trust Every idea and her word!! Shes the best so listen to what knowledge she has shes a god sent to petco!!!

I brought my pomeranian in for grooming. He is a long hair dog and we discussed him getting a "summer cut". I told the lady not to give him the lion cut but to just make him well rounded. What i got was a pom with no hair and now i have to worry about him getting sun burnt. Picture a handsome black and gold pomeranian and 5hen a short haired mixed mutt side by side...NOT..HAPPY

Cashier was talking on the phone and walked away leaving us waiting to check out. She didnt say she would be back or send someone else to help. A few minutes later, someone from the grooming area came to check us out. The only reason this isnt a 1star is that products here are usually good quality.
