Oh Chow Hound, you are my favorite-est group of pet fanatics. I had been dealing with routine binge eating/barfing from my adopted shelter cat for over 2 years. I just thought it was the price of adopting a shelter critter. We fed him high quality food, we visited the doc, no discernible cause, nothing wrong. Oh...except for him eating and barfing and then going back to the food bowl for more. Then, one day, I happened to be in your Holland store and got to discussing the situation with one of your staff. She advised I look at a cat food that had no carbs, just protein. Turns out, my cat didnt need carbs. He rejected them, in fact. On a regular, ongoing basis. Now that hes on a new diet, hes doing super! No drama, happy momma. Kitty is vet-certified and thriving after a year and all is well. Thus, you are my favorite-est group of pet fanatics!

The Chow Hound in Standale is great. Very nice staff! Unfortunately, your website is TERRIBLE! There arent any products on it! I tried to see what coats you carry for dogs and you cant search or find ANYTHING! The ONLY thing that you can look up is the brands they carry. Thats it. The website doesnt even offer a way to contact the company. Otherwise, I would have done that instead of write a review. If you had never been to the store and just looked at their website, you would think they are a wholesaler for dogfood. Whoever designed and okd the website does not know how to run a business.

I have been a customer for about two years now (ever since I brought home my GSP pup). I am very picky about the products I buy and I love the selection of top brands that Chow Hound carries. If they dont have it they order it for me. Their customer service is awesome and return policy is great!

Every time Ive been in here all of the employees have been polite and helpful. Its not the best place to buy the supplies that I need for my pets price wise, as I can get them at other stores in Holland or online cheaper, but I still go here every now and then.

Always friendly n helpful. Plus theyre a locally owned business with affordable products, often cheaper than the bigger stores like Petco or PetSmart. Dog wash is $11 and you dont need documentation or am appointment!

Very friendly, I was greeted upon entering. Theyre knowledge about their products. Prices are comparable to larger chains. Nice and clean parking area, but near a very busy intersection.
