I visited this store and I notice the store is very clean, well lit, spacious and comfortable. But I also notice that their prices here at this store is outrageous! They charge 189 plus tax each for cockateils when I know I can pay anywhere from 89 to 125 bucks at other stores for these exact same birds. I remember paying a visit their once and asking about a dog for my mom and the salesman directed me to their section where they keep their dogs. Seeing most of the dogs either asleep or just not very interested, I didnt think anything much of it. But finally I found the perfect puppy, the guy got him out of his cage and allowed me to play with him and interact. And oh man was the dog full of joy and lots of love just as I wanted, but when I asked the clerk hey how much for the dog and him going to the back and coming back with a 4 thousand dollar plus price tag I was like for a puppy? Dude thats a down payment on a car at Capital Chevrolet! Did you know we have pet rescues and animal shelters? Not to meantion people who have their hands full with the ones they have at home. I was appalled so the clerk offered a finacing option Which they run your credit an attempt to qualify you for a loan(including interest rates) to buy the dog and you make monthly payments as if youre buying a car. I hated the entire ordeal. The no price tag on any of the dogs, the super high price of their birds, the 4 thousand dollar plus price tag on a puppy and not to meantion that get finacing/credit approval and monthly payments taken from your credit card for a pup like its a car.sad there isnt any other pet stores that sells dogs.if it were then maybe some of those prices would change with competition.

I entered this establishment 2/19 at around 2pm with my family. The store is clean, though a little small. The employees seemed overwhelmed but we enjoyed looking at the fish and smaller rodent pets. Then, we walked towards to puppies-- this is where my horror began. Although the dogs look healthy, they look terribly sad, scared and uncomfortable. They were shuffling dogs in and out of their kennel in order to let customers hold the dogs. I watched as a tall, thin male employee with dark hair threw dogs in and out of their kennels with little regard to them. At one point, the male employee threw the dog into the kennel and shut the door forcefully, hitting the pup directly in the nose. We quickly shuffled our kids out of the establishment. This place needs to seriously get their act together. The employees shuffling the dogs in and out of the kennels looked highly disgruntled and their frustration was apparent in the manner that they handled these innocent animals. I will never purchase an animal from this establishment, and I sincerely hope it is shut down and these precious furbabies get placed in proper homes. Absolutely disgusting. My husband, who is not even a dog person, was horrified by their brute behavior, and thats truly saying a lot.

I got a Yorkshire Terrior from Petland for my wife. I financed him. Worse mistake I ever made. His asking price was $2,600, after taxes $2,990. Petland didnt thoroughly explain the terms of the financing agreement and I thought I was signing a reasonable agreement. In fact I was signing horrible terms that put me in a financial hole. Basically if I dont pay a few grand in between payments to buy him out I will end up paying $7,100 over 41 months. At this current moment I already paid over $3,300 and my buy out is $1,820. So after I pay him off I would at least paid $5,000 for one dog. I want everyone to know that Petland and Monterary Financial group (loan company) are a bunch of Crooks. Please dont finance or buy a dog from them. Breeders are much cheaper and reasonable. The financial group would not work out a better agreement with me. They were unwilling to negotiate.

As many others have mentioned, their prices are exorbitantly high. I went sometime back to look for a German Shepherd. The guy told me that the puppy would be $3k. They couldnt tell me much about the puppys background - where it was from, the kind of testing its parents had had, the temperament of them, or anything about the breeder. If Im going to pay that much for a puppy, I want as much information and health testing done as humanly possible with health guarantees and what not. If you want a purebred dog, do your research and find reputable breeders who do health testing, offer health guarantees. As Ive learned, any reputable breeder worth anything will NOT sell their pups to a pet store. And, sometimes, you can find purebred puppies and dogs at shelters. But if you just want a puppy/dog, regardless of breed and purity, check with your local shelter, youll be saving money AND a dogs life.

The Evans family are wonderful. Keith communicated with me when Honey had parasties. I am not located in Montgomery, so it was challenging since the medicines she was getting in a local vet wasnt helping her. He told me to bring her back and he would take care of it all at no charge since it was part of general health warranty (which is for the first week of having your pet). This was a huge lifesaver. Leah the wife who deals with mainly Facebook along with other things, she still keeps in touch. I appreciate her very much since they arent only about selling their puppies, they are gueinely looking for a great home for their beautiful fur babies. I highly recommend them and truly believe the money is worth it if you want a specific breed. We love our mini golden doodle and she makes a perfect sister for our rescue puppy.

Its very clean and the people are nice. If you are looking for fish it has plenty. I do not support buying dogs, even though they say theirs are from USDA approved breeders. After a lot of asking what they do with dogs they dont sell they said they mark them down over time, until someone buys them or an employee can afford to purchase them. I wonder what happens if no one can purchase a dog though. However, if you want a pure bred dog please go look there so that those puppies can have a home and remember ALL dogs require lots of patience and training and can be both calm or energetic depending on the day or mood, just like a toddler. Please love your pet regardless. They have a good selection of supplies.

My boyfriend and I stop by Petland everytime we are in East Chase just to run in and see the birds, ferrets, guinea pigs, and of course the puppies. We always buy a few treats on our way out for our three fur babies. Every staff member has always been so helpful. They always come up to us to ask if we need anything, and they always have a good attitude. We were buying our dog Kujo a new name tag a few weeks ago. A really nice guy was helping us. The first tag that was printed out had a line going from one side of the tag to the other. We asked him what caused that, and he said the machince messed up. He was so nice to print us out another before we even asked, and it turned out great!
