My partner and I adopted a Maine Coon/Ragdoll cat about 6 months ago. Despite our very best efforts to comb him out, his winter coat was matting and we decided to take him to petsmart for grooming. Lisa was our cat groomer. Im a first time pet owner and she walked me through the process. She was knowledgeable; she answered all of my questions confidently and checked us in herself. She called our vet to ensure all of his shots were up to date when we left the information at home. She provided us with options that were affordable and always had our cats health and comfort in mind. We went in at 7 am, and thats not always a great time for people, but Lisa was very friendly. Also, she encouraged us to watch from the window as she groomed him. She handled our 15lb cat expertly, gentle and firm, and seemed to really enjoy her time with Mogget. She complemented us on his temperament and answered additional questions for us when we were done. It was a wonderful experience, and our family pet looks great! Added note: If you have a cat, know that cat groomers require their own specialized training. Not every groomer can groom cats. Because of this, and the higher demand for dog grooming, you can only set an appointment during the week. However, their hours are flexible to compensate.

I went to this Petsmart two weeks ago because my dog has been having some problems. They told me at the vet that she could come back in a week for a complimentary visit just to make sure that everything was going well. I called the other day again to set up an appointment and again asked if this visit would be complimentary and they said yes and that I could just walk in the next day. I went in today and had my appointment to find out at the end that they charged me for the appointment. The manager there insinuated that I was a liar and that they would never do that and proceeded to charge me the price for the visit even though I had confirmed twice that this would be complimentary. I will NEVER return to this hospital again for the way I was treated, I will gladly drive farther away to go to a reputable vet that treats patients with respect.

I come here often they do a good job, today I come to drop off my dog I got here a little early and decided to check my messages and seen that the apt was actually for the 25th next Friday, so I go online to book another one for today, i found 3 appointments for later in the day, before submitting it a message popped up and said to call the store and someone will work with you or see what they could do. I wanted to make sure if they could fit me in this morning and the lady quickly says no we dont have any appointments and that they will take more probably next week, not knowing I have already found appointments for later in the day. Its such a shame they were not willing to help and gave me false info. All I have to say is Petco will work with you they love animals and my dog, but they are far away.

They have millions of pond snails in their fish tanks that killed my mystery snail. I told the sales associate, an elder woman who was very rude, the snail was on the bottom of the tank with the pond snails and I was worried that it may be sick. She assured me it had been moving around the tank all day. It was knocked down from getting fish from the tank. I then asked for a new filter, I told her I couldnt find one online. She sold the same tank at her stores I could show her the filter I needed. She said she already knew what I needed and handed me the wrong one. -.- I also purchases some worms for my bearded dragon. Super worms... And some were dead. I am so disappointed. Dead fish, dead snails, tons of bacteria ridden pond snails, and poor customer service. Never going back to that location.

Today Jack was banned! Ive taken my lover Jack the Pitbull into this location four times or so to get nails trimmed. Ive seen them use a mussel once (the second time). Im okay with that, safety first. But weve never had a mishap and they always love him. However today, someone who has never worked with him did. She didnt listen to a word I said about him (you might need a mussel); She knew it all, so I wasnt able to inform her properly. Jack ended up biting someone; for that Im truly sorry. She didnt listen and was rough with him; he is strong though. I will never shop there or take my other dog there because one person knew it all. To top it off, id already paid for the teeth brushing and nail trimming. They only trimmed a paw and a half. Thanks #petsmart

This place is great for getting food for my kitties. Its nice and clean, and everyone that Ive encountered working there is always kind. As far as the people who are complaining about grooming, youre honestly all asking for trouble. How much do you think they earn at this place dealing with strangers dogs all day? Buy an Oster trimmer (theyre the best) off Amazon and trim the pet yourself. Your pet trusts you and you understand it best. I trim my cat w/an Oster trimmer and a #10 blade. The one time I took a cat to get it trimmed somewhere it freaked out the cat and also the groomer. Ive never had issues doing it on my own. Stop whining; your pet trusts you and not a stranger. Also, dont trim off a nipple because that can happen.

The vet here was so rude for absolutely no reason. I declined a rabies vaccination from him (my two-year old dog is severely allergic to them and requires an IV cath and pre-treatment-and since Banfield, and this guy, wasnt my normal vet so I just didnt feel comfortable doing all of that there with a vet team who I hadnt worked with). My other vet has already done this exact treatment with MY dog and I just wanted to wait for him. Obviously this made him mad, and he proceeded to tell me I had to leave "the establishment immediately" if I didnt have proper papers for my puppy, which I guess meant the Rabies paperwork. And stormed away from me. I would never take any animal there, ridiculous and petty.

Love this place for my grooming needs. I have a Golden, and two older Shi Tsus . Never have had a problem..It is busy there but I do not have expectations that are out of the realm of possibilities and capabilities of any humans...groomers or non-groomers....working with dogs takes patience and special personalities and I understand this. I have always been satisfied when leaving , with the result...the prices, the groom, and the treatment by all of the groomers and other workers within the store.

Took my toy poodle here for a groom. Yeah, he was matted. But not to the point where they needed to buzz him so short that you can see his pink skin! And in the winter!!! Also, they didnt even cut all of his nails. His dew claws were so long they were curling. I got him groomed 6 days ago, and Im noticing his ears have scabs on them now too. He hasnt stopped licking his leg and I noticed theres a scab there now too. Seems like they just want to get dogs in and out as quickly as possible.
