I have purchased all my jewelry from Hoff for over 20 years. I had my 1st wedding ring made there. Loved it! After my divorce I didnt purchase anything for a few years. I was getting remarried and wanted to buy another ring from Hoff and have the wedding band custom made. I was so shocked and disappointed in the ring when it was handed to me with their smile. The ring was not as expected and not even close to how we had drawn it out. They were going to fix it and we talked about it for over an hour. To my surprise 6 weeks later it was ready again. (suppose to take a week) The ring still OMG really? I want to mention that My ring was over 10,000.00 ... Long story short the way they made me feel every time I came back to the store was sickening. (10 trips 10 re-fixes and the final pick up still not right but, after 6 months I just couldnt do it anymore. I seriously was talking to lawyers getting ready to sue them over this. There was so many hours put in to this and they made me feel like it was my fault. ( when I would tell them what I wanted and they would turn around and do the exact opposite) At one point I was even told I was costing them money and time. The Jeweler I was working with quit. He would always talk bad about the other employees when I went in. He was the only one who I almost trusted. I even had appointment with Steve Hoff him self and that man acted like nothing I said was important or worth listening to. I was so pissed when I left. All of this was because of the manager to begin with. Trying to save the store time and money and not listening to what I the customer was paying for. She made my ring the was she wanted. I could of kicked her to the moon I was getting so mad at her. I got to the point I resented everyone in that store who made my wedding ring tarnished to me. The joy was totally gone. Here a year later I am writing this review because I still dont like it. All the diamonds that are not straight and the lines that dont line up. and the spaces between the engagement right and wedding ring that is gaped and then on the other side not gaped. OH and lets not mention the 1 caret center diamond that I had upgraded has a big flaw in it. I KNOW WITH ALL OF MY HEART THAT THEY SWITCHED THE DIAMOND. I now totally and fully understand why they have closed so many stores and why they filed bankruptcy. This wedding ring is a joke to the point that I am ready to go and sell this one and get a new one made else where. OH and I almost forgot the engagement ring was $9999.99 when I bought it. With the wedding band being a few thousand more. THEN the day that I picked it up the Fers had this exact ring on sale for $4,999.00 No I didnt get the sale price. I so kick my self in the ass for not suing them. They are very lucky very very lucky.

What an awful experience my husband and I had today. We COULD NOT BELIEVE-- we had been treated this way. Bad costumer service, rude, and unprofessional. My husband and I were looking for a 3rd band, something to go with what I already had, (customize at a different jewelry store-- 10 diamond on 1 band with a 3ct center, with 4 diamonds on each side) I took a glimpsed at their jewerly, "Im looking for a soft pink wedding band to go with what I already have here. One of the sales man showed us a peachy pink stone (moganite) and I did not like the color contrast along with my ring; rather then helping us find a different color wedding band, He then brought these fashion ring, that had pink stones for me to try! He started telling me about their discounts and how much we would save. He mentioned about their financing deal, 2 years without interest rates, etc. a MK purse and a iPad! I made it clear, "we are planning to pay cash today if we find what we are looking for." My husband and I did not plan to purchase a new ring, just a add on. He replied, "oh Im just going to "check" how much you would qualify for because you dont have to pay in full today if you buy something!" I thought, I had nothing to lose, so he had my credit checked and reply, "you can buy anything you want in this story today!" My husband and I shouldve left at this point because this other lady, not sure what Her name was, came in and tried to convince me to buy this fashion ring, which was beautiful! BUT her rude comments left us running out the door! She said, "its time to let go of the cz and get with the real diamonds!" She asked the sales guy, "did you check her ring? The sales guy said no. She then said to the sales guy, "theyre CZs. Because of the cut." I was so shocked, and in disbelief that she was talking about my ring! I said, no they are not CZs, my husband and I had customized this ring and we picked a OEC (old European cut) center diamond, we came in here to look for another band, but a pink one. There was a long silence, which made me so uncomfortable. I then decided to tell this other sales lady that we were leaving. All my husband and I wanted was something simple to go with what I already had! BUT We walked out with a $10,000.00 credit card-- not authorized!!! No pink wedding band And an awful experience we hope will never happen to anyone else.

On Oct 31, 2009 I brought my wedding ring into Hoff Jewelers in Maplewood Mall, My Marque Diamond had fallen off my ring and lost and I was devastated. I brought in my warranty and was told that my ring would be ready on Nov 9, 2009. On Nov 3, I was called by someone from the store and told that my warranty was not valid, that the signature from 6-15-09 was not anyone in their store! I was so confused because I know that I brought it in there, so I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was then accused of forging a signature of one of their employees! I could not believe what I was hearing, let alone what I was being accused of. (I bought the warranty for my wedding ring through Hoff Jewelers’ back in 2006. It is for diamond repair/lost diamond etc., as long you brought it in every 6 months to be checked. I have 2 rings under warranty there. ON June 15, 2009, my husband and I brought the rings into Hoff Jewelers’ like any other time to be checked, and they were checked and initialed on my warranty, just like every other time. The only time I did not have my rings checked is when Hoff filed chapter 11 bankruptcy and without contacting anyone that had purchased warranties through them, closed their doors. They just re-opened around the 1st of this year, so I brought them in for a check and spoke with them at that time about my warranty.) I am so discouraged, I want everyone to know what kind of Jewelry store Hoff really is!!!!! They are thieves because they do not honor their warranties, they lie about their promises under warranty!!!
