Went there today with my son to buy some accessories and some new fish for our tank. Had to ask three people for help getting fish (but honestly, thats the way it always is in that store). When someone did come, after 20 minute wait, I received the most condescending lecture about keeping fish. There are ways to ask customers about their experience with fish without being a snob, and without telling the customer your own fish credentials and how much of your disposable income you spend on your own fish. When we FINALLY got around to me asking for the fish I wanted, I was told immediately that "those fish were not recommended." So, basically, this salesman was not going to sell me any fish but he was happy to stand there and quiz me on my knowledge of fish and waste my time. I left after that-and I left behind the full cart of aquarium accessories I was about to purchase. I got the distinct impression that this salesman thought I was just a dumb woman who couldnt handle keeping fish in a tank. I bet he would have sold them to my husband. By the way, Ive been keeping fish for over 20 years.
