I live right down the street from Sportique. So when I got my scooter a few months ago I was very excited that i did not need to go far for servicing. I have been to Sportique a few times and the customer service has always been poor at best. It has always taken at least 10 minutes to get someone to talk to or just to buy and item. But it wasnt only the poor customer service that earns Sportique 2 stars but the over priced and poorly performed maintenance. I brought my Genuine Buddy 50cc in for a tune up that i was expecting to cost $100-150 dollars and when i went to pay found out it was over $550. This was alarming, however if it made my scooter better and safer then it was worth paying. In addition to the tune up they replaced my brakes, and rear tire. So i payed it without contest. Two weeks later my scooters brakes started squealing again. This time I decided to take it in for maintenance with a different scooter repair shop. I found out that my headset was about to fall apart something that was so obvious to the mechanic that he was flabbergasted that Sportique (an authorized Genuine Buddy dealer) didnt notice. I addition to that he pointed out that the brakes werent bled when they were replaced at Sportique. He had to completely redo Sportiques botched brake job. Lastly, i showed this new mechanic my receipt from Sportique and he pointed out that Sportique had charged me for an oil that shouldnt even be used on a two-stroke scooter engine. What! no-wonder it cost so much. To sum up I wont be going back to Sportique because of their poor customer service and their poor and overpriced scooter servicing. Do not go to Sportique if you want fast, friendly, and professional service there are better places in town.

Recently purchased my first scooter - a Buddy 150 - from Sportique and was very pleased with the experience. The sales people were very helpful and friendly, encouraging you to take various scooters out for a spin. Try doing that at a motorcycle retailer. I have heard some places will not let you ride their bikes at all. You have to purchase without trying them!! They did not seem to mind that I knew nothing about scooters and happily answered some pretty basic questions. I special-ordered my helmet through them the day I bought the scooter, and they lent me one to use until mine arrived in a couple weeks. I am pretty sure that is not standard procedure, but shows unusually outstanding service and concern on their part. I was surprised at how expensive their scooters are, but then again they only stock quality equipment. You will not see any cheap and unreliable rides there. Their higher end scooters cost about the same as some quality entry level motorcycles, so keep that in mind when you are shopping. If you are like me though, you get a scooter in part because it is not a motorcycle! They encourage safe riding, they gave me a much appreciated $50 store credit for completing a motorcycle riding course. Sportique is also a civic minded local business - they donated 2 scooters to Colorado Public Radio as prizes for their annual fundraiser, for example. I have not yet serviced my scooter there, but the small amount of work done at point of purchase was satisfactory. Overall the folks there are super knowledgable and approachable, and I am glad they are here in Denver!

Sportique is one of the greatest shops I have ever been to. I am a long-time scooterist that has had a lot of experience with everything from 50s era Lambrettas and 60s Vespas all the way to a plethora of the modern twist-n-go bikes that are available today. Sportique has been in the business for a very long time. Dont let a couple of bad reviews turn you off, I implore you to go give them a shot for yourself. All of their staff is incredibly knowledgeable and has many years of experience in the scooter sales and repair industry. They have helped me locate some hard to find parts and also taught me much about keeping my bikes on the road and keeping them operating safe and soundly. Sometimes, bikes have problems. Unfortunately it isnt always a walk in the park to fix them. I myself have had electrical and brake-system gremlins that just would not stay away. The other side of this is that once in a very blue moon, a mis-communication may occur. This is not the fault of your shop! The mechanics working here are some of the best in the industry. I kept bringing a couple of bikes here when I recently moved out of state because its nearly impossible to find a competent mechanic in Albuquerque who can even touch my 1974 Vespa Rally 200 or my 2004 Yamaha Morphous (yes that even includes the Yamaha DEALER). I cant emphasize how courteous and intelligent the sales staff here is. There is a reason why they have been in business since the mid-90s. They are PASSIONATE about what they do!

I have been in the market for a new scooter for a while now. I have stopped into the Denver location twice looking at scooters and both times everyone I have talked with was very pleasant and helpful. All of the information that I was given was consistent between everyone I spoke with. Scooters are not cheap and all of the online research that I have done states the same information as the sales people at Sportique have given me. As I read through the other reviews regarding service, I have not used Sportiques repair department yet, but I did notice that all of their pricing is posted on the wall. I have never left my car or former scooter at a repair shop without knowing exactly what services are to be performed and the price to be charged (in writing). I have always been informed of any additional service/repair prior to work being done by other service centers and I would certainly question any repair that was done without my prior approval. I look forward to buying my new scooter from Sportique very soon. Thanks Adam, Cory, & Jared for all of your patience, information, and personal opinions you gave me while I was deciding what scooter was right for me.

No place and no person is perfect. However this is more than a shop, its a hangout, destination, and lifestyle store. A lot of complaints come from people that jumped in with bad expectations of what a shop is and how scooters work. Sure, scooters can be cheap, but if you need a shop to do the basics, it will cost more. They have bills to pay, mouths to feed like the rest of us. This goes for anything, but being polite if firm goes a long way. Sportique is always happy to help, and take a guess on an estimate beforehand if youre wanting something special done. Theyll take the time to get to know you as a customer, help you out here and there with simple stuff (lost screws, hard to find parts...), and on most parts theyre not making a load off of markup. If I had to nitpick it would be the speed of parts delivery, but I know they have to wait until theres an order big enough to be worth it. If something goes wrong, it will always be made right at Sportique, always.
