I have gone to this place off-on since 1996. I bought my first road bike here. However, over the years, I have been thoroughly disappointed. I bought my most recent bike at Timme Motors which is 45 miles further than Apex Sports. Why? The sales staff at Apex was pushy! Next, I moved out of the area and needed replacement parts. I thought about Rocky Mtn Motor Sports, but, like a fool, went back to Apex. I ordered my parts and ENSURED I was getting the right parts sent to me at my home over 150 miles away. I had issues with the parts getting to me and when I received them, one of the parts was not what I ordered. I went back to Apex after I called the manager to claim my correct part. To make it short, the staff member was personally insulted when I told him that Apex had "wasted enough of my time" as I had been waiting for 10 minutes at the counter for the manager to give me the correct part. His attitude was insolent and I was nonetheless not impressed with his unprofessional attitude, to which the manager never corrected him on. Oh, well, Ill find another place who likes having repeat customers and may know something about customer service and know how to get things correct the first time around!

I wont be back. Ive used them for 3 years because it was convenient and close. But after all the issues ive had, im done. I got new tires and they used the old tubes that had rusted valve on them. The service department also lied to me about part prices. I was told a wheel bearing was $50 and parts said it was $20. Ive also constantly received broken and wrong parts from the parts department. Several of the tools ive bought from them were rusted. My most recent issue with the service department was, i asked them to reset the maintenance odometer because they said they had to do it with a computer. They then learned that you dont need a computer, you can do it on the bike. After an hour of waiting for it, they printed the page from the manual to show me where to find the instructions for it. After getting out to my bike, i found they hadnt even reset it for me, they made me wait an hour and they didnt take the 30 seconds to do what i brought it in for. I will not be going to Apex for anything anymore.

I called to get a quote on replacing both tires and was quoted $125.80. The bill ended up being $153.23. All of a sudden we had charges for shop supplies, aftermarket exhaust, and tire disposal. Apparently I had made the mistake that when they quote you a price, that is not necessarily what you are going to be paying. There was no mention of any extra charges when I called for the quote. The charge for aftermarket exhaust is just nuts. I watched the mechanic put the rear tire on with the exhaust still hanging there. When I talked to the managers ( service and location ) they didnt seem to get why jacking up an estimate, no matter how little, was a bad thing. Seems like business as usual to them. Oh, and they said I needed a carb rebuild. I just rebuilt the carbs. What they need is adjusting, but I guess that doesnt make them as much money as a full rebuild. If you dont know much about your bike I would steer clear because they wont be honest with you and it will cost you.

Walked through Apex for the first time today. Seemed like a good selection of bikes and protective gear. I was looking for an adhesive tank pad and fiberglass exhaust wrap. I was told they had run out of the wrap but would order it in, and that I could probably get some from auto zone. I asked about the tank pads too, because I only saw three on hangers in the display. He said, yeah, thats all Ive got at the moment. Not a horrible experience, the guy that I dealt with was nice, but these are pretty basic items to run out of our not carry much of a selection. Next time I need gloves or a jacket I might poke my head back in. Ive called the service department before (I ride a 2000 vtr1000, some shops dont work on bikes that old), I was told that though things were definitely picking up cause summer is coming, they could swap my chain and do all fluids same day if I dropped in the morning. I thought that was pretty cool.

While at the summit of Pikes Peak, the stator died in my Suzuki C90 - again. I was able to make it to motel where we stayed the night before - The Silver Saddle. This was on a Monday and all the bike shops were closed in Colorado Springs. I called Davis Sports in Montrose and they over-knighted a new stator to Apex. The picked up my bike from the motel and trailered to the shop. Sure enough, at 1030am on Tuesday, the stator arrived at Apex and they installed in only to find that the regulator/rectifier had also died. None in stock. I got them to cannibalize a new C50 on the floor as it had the same regulator. It was installed and all was well. Nice of them to push me to the front of the repair line but I WAS 1600 miles from home. Bike worked well ever since. Thanks Jim!

Great service over the phone! I havent been there physically, yet, but I made a call inquiring about potential problems on a motorcycle with high mileage and the possible issues this could cause. I was patched through to the service department within less than a minute, and the phone was picked up after 2 rings. The gentleman who picked up the phone was extremely knowledgeable and didnt pull any punches. I REALLY appreciate that, as I dont have a lot of time to hear, "well, maybe, could be, etc." Thats why Im taking the time to write this review. Businesses that have folks ready to provide good, solid, professional answers quick deserve a good review. Maybe the folks that messed up Marks day have left since last October! :)

Apex is the best in the springs for motorcycle parts and the like. They are very reasonable and considerate of their customers. A few weeks ago I had to have parts overnight shipped to fix my bike. The manufacturer of the part didn’t ship it on time not getting the day it was suppose to be in the springs. I spoke with the parts manager and he split the cost with me. The only downside to APEX is its always busy, forget calling if you don’t have to just go in. Never fails Im always on hold for an extended period of time. But once on the phone the service is great and fast. Most of the staff is knowledgeable on parts and service. I have no used their service department yet but I have high hopes.

Great service. Friendly staff that go the extra mile. I have been in the shop twice looking for helmets, gear, and parts. Both times Apex staff went out of their way to ensured I walked away with the correct fit or part giving a military discount on top of the great service. I met the couple/owners who are riders themselves and they cared for myself and my wife like we were there children when it came to sizing our helmets. They have a huge selection of parts and apparel to include top end helmets like Arai and Shoei. Even though they dont carry Harley parts I was able to use a set of mini-boards for a Goldwing to replace my pegs, after they measured to ensure they would fit.
