Originally, I set out to buy an engagement ring and a wedding band from a salesperson at a high-end local jewelry store in Denver, where I live. I had been referred to a salesperson by a family friend and she showed me some beautiful rings, but I quickly realized that something didnt feel right. Even after meeting with her several times, she had no idea who I was, and she only seemed interested in her commission and commenced with the hard-sell. She even convinced me to put down a deposit on a diamond. (Thankfully, I eventually got that money back....) But the whole experience left a very sour taste in my mouth. I started to consider the prospect of purchasing a ring online. I was skeptical, but I read some interesting articles on the subject that persuaded me to at least research the possibility. I called several online retailers to question them about their policies. When I first spoke with Elizabeth, I immediately felt comfortable, and I appreciated the connection we made. Despite the fact that she was ill on that day, she patiently and graciously answered all of my questions. It was incredibly refreshing to deal with someone whose orientation seemed to be toward service rather than sales. When I called her back the next day to place my order, she was even more helpful. I made the purchase, but when Elizabeth inspected the diamond several days later, she identified some issues with it. She immediately contacted me after having found a superior diamond to replace it. She emailed me pictures, and the GIA certification without me even having to ask for them. I was astounded and appreciative beyond description. She could have very easily sent me that flawed diamond and hoped that either I didnt mind, or even detect the issue. After all, the sale was complete. Instead, she did the right thing, and I am forever grateful. My rings arrived two weeks earlier than expected, and they are simply gorgeous. I was so excited that I proposed to my fiancee within six hours of receiving them. (Obviously, she said, "Yes!") Im not the easiest customer in the world, but Elizabeth exceeded my expectations in every way possible. In a world where honesty and great service are in short supply, it was refreshing to experience both. In short, I really appreciate how forthright, ethical, and diligent she was throughout the process--thank you, Elizabeth for making this process easy and comfortable for me. As a result of this overwhelimingly positive experience, I anticipate that all of my future jewelry purchases will be made through Genesis Diamonds, as well. I can emphatically recommend Elizabeth and your organization, and I will gladly sing your praises and refer you customers every chance I get.

Disclaimer. I am not an ignorant person who only leaves reviews solely because I didnt get something that I wanted with overly exceeding expectations. I am a very normal person and many folks will tend to agree with me. Just wanted to mention that so you dont dismiss my review. What to start off saying about Genesis Diamonds... For starters, they have terrible employees and owners. I took my fiance here to pick out an engagement ring after visiting this place once before. They set her up with a smaller diamond and a cheap mounting on my second visit there. The salesperson (who claimed to be part owner) tried to pressure me into agreeing to buying a ring if he could find whatever it was that he wanted us to agree to. He came back out with a smaller diamond and offered it for more money than on my previous visit. When my Fiance said that she wanted a larger diamond and couldnt understand why this one would cost more than a previous diamond (of better quality) the associate told us he couldnt help us and to please leave. This was after wasting 90 minutes of our time. I have never been told to leave a store before, and I will gladly give my money to a competitor. Additionally, the associate showed us cloudy diamonds, EGL diamonds, and poorly made settings. They criticized my fiances tastes and made it seem as though her preferences were an inconvenience to them. They are crooks, and have terrible customer relations. I would beware this place at all costs. Save yourself a headache! Edit: I shopped around, found an AMAZING diamond online at a reputable diamond site, and purchased it. I cannot stress how much better this diamond was that Genesis. Not only much larger and WAY better clarity, but about 40% cheaper than what they tried to sell me. I know my stuff when it comes to Diamonds, and Boazs crazy story about flying his personal jet to Liberia (or wherever) to hand select only diamonds that have been drooled on by a rare elephant in May during the first moon is complete crap. We went to King Jewelers down the road to have the set the stone. Couldnt have been happier. Will give them a great review next.

Ok.. first of all... I learned about Genesis on the radio.. as they and Shane Co. are in an obvious bitter rivalry. So.. when it came to shopping for a diamond.. I went to both. When I first went into Genesis in Cool Springs, I must admit I was a bit freaked out. They had to buzz me into the gate, then... there was an armed guard there walking around the entire time I shopped (talk about uncomfortable). The place however was stunning and the lights/ambiance were top notch. A Melissa greeted me at the door (after being patted down by security *joke), and she was most knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately however, she tag teamed with another guy that had to come and give me his sales pitch. Im OK with selling the company, but this was way above and beyond normal salesmanship.. Robbie exuded an excessive amount of pride in his wisdom and did not know when to quit. He almost ruined the show for me (humility goes a long way with me). What bothered me the most, is how his focus was on bashing on Shane Co... and even used their website as a comparison to show the difference. That urks me when salespeople focus on their competition. (Come on seriously... if you are confident, then let the the product and service sell itself) With all of that aside, they did have the selection and variety that you will not find anywhere else. I drove over the Shane Co, to see what they had. The staff (while friendly) was NOT as knowledgeable on the products and did not listen to my needs. Unfortunately, they did not have the selection to choose from either. It was a more comfortable place to shop, but they just did not have the selection or professionalism. The two places are polar opposites. Would be nice to have something in between the two.. With all of this said... Im buying from Genesis... mainly because of the selection. If I had my druthers... I would chose Shane because they are "more my style".. but lack what I was looking for. Good luck in your search... I hope this helps!

Today I went into Genesis Diamonds to get my ring cleaned and to just "LOOK" at anniversary bands. My boyfriend and I are getting married in 3 months and still need bands. We just moved to Nashville and I keep hearing the ads on the radio. So today I happen to be in the Green Hills area and stopped to just "LOOK." I had no intention of buy ANYTHING today but from the moment I walked in, I experienced what a jewelry store or any up scale store should be. I was greeted with a warm smile and told the salesman what I was basically looking for. He and I talked for awhile and in 15min of talking he picked a couple of rings out. He nailed it, all the other jewelry stores I went to could only show me catalog pictures or direct me to a web site, but I couldnt believe there it was. I quickly looked at the price. Thinking it would probably be out of my budget, it was less than what I was going to SETTLE with. At this point the jeweler came out and gave me my SPARKLING ring and when I put the 2 rings together I was speechless. Still speechless I looked at the price tag again just make sure, and I must say they mean no haggle prices. I called my boyfriend and we met after he left work. Before I left the salesman wrote ALL the information and gave me his card, I LOVED how there was no pressure to buy or put money down to save a special price. When I came back in we were greeted by another salesman who instantly recognized me from earlier. He got everything out for us until our salesman was available. Once our salesman was finished up with his other customer, he came over and my boyfriend said "Order it." I am SOOO excited and cant wait until its ready. As we were leaving the Owner came over to see what we picked and thanked us for our purchase. We left with such an impression we will definitely be getting my boyfriends ring there. Thank you Genesis Diamonds, but my boyfriend says I cant just "LOOK" again. LOL
