I have always been happy with Shane. For the past 7 years my husband has shopped there for Valentines, birthday, Christmas, Mothers Day, Anniversary etc. Whenever I go in with him to look around or get my ring cleaned everyone is super nice. Today though was different. I wanted to buy some earrings for my mom for mothers day. We went in yesterday and they did not have what we were looking for but said they could get it transferred. Everything was great, I was happy. We went back today to pick up the earrings. It was a little busy, but there still appeared to be more salespeople than customers, so I was surprised when it took a couple minutes for us to be greeted. No big deal, like I said, it was busier than usual. The salesman greeted us, asked how he could help and retrieved the earrings for us. At this point my husband asked if there was anything I was interested in. I mentioned I would like to see some earring in yellow gold. He said he would go in the back and see what they had available. I stood there and waited for a few minutes, then began to wander around the store. I made it around the entire store and back where I started (walking slowly and looking). Then stood waiting some more. At this point I noticed him helping another customer. Let me be clear about something. I had passed SEVERAL salespeople standing behind the counter doing nothing while I wandered and waited for the guy helping me to return from the back with what he went to get for me to look at. Then I notice him helping someone else. I start to get upset and want to leave without even getting the earrings for my mom. My husband is more practical and flags down one of the other people standing around doing nothing. She comes over and says "Im sorry, I thought you were being helped." I reply with "So did I". She starts to fill out the paperwork for us to purchase the earrings and the first guy comes rushing over with some lame excuse and apology. I felt so completely unimportant. Because I wasnt buying a diamond I didnt matter. I guess the next diamonds he buys me will be from somewhere else. Somewhere that values ALL of my business.

Shane Co. is fantastic! I grew up hearing Tom Shane on the radio say, "Now youve got a friend in the diamond business." As a marketing professional, I can appreciate the professional appearance and consistent messaging that this company and its leader have crafted so carefully. More importantly, I appreciate the wonderful customer service and product quality provided by Shane Co. My first shopping experience with Shane Co. was when my fiancée and I were shopping for an engagement ring. Even though she knew it was coming because we had talked about marriage, I was still able to surprise her, with the help of our Shane Co. associate. (I cant remember his name.) We managed to complete all the paperwork and get the order processed for the ring she loved while she was distracted in another part of the store. The Shane Co. associate and I even pretended like I was still considering going somewhere else. (I never will.) My fiancée left thinking we were just looking and might not buy a ring for a few months. I was able to pick up the ring and surprise her with the big question within a week (may not be typical). Now that were married, my wife comments all the time on how much she loves her rings. She gets them cleaned for free, and we love Shane Co. Thank you!

I have only dealt with Shane Co. online, as there are no brick&mortar stores within driving distance...but I must say, I have been VERY pleased with their customer service! My husband (then fiance) and I found Shane Co. while shopping around for someone who carried the Nelson Co diamonds (Calla cut -hard to find!). At the time, Shane Co. had the ring we were looking for, and at the best price point of anyone online. The ordering process was simple, the website easy to navigate. Teh ring was gorgeous!! Unfortunately, we ended up having some problems with the ring we chose (no fault of Shane Co). We had to return it twice, first time because the setting bent (the rings design was too dainty for me I think), one of the diamonds popped out, second time because the setting bent again (apparently platinum has a "memory" and doesnt do well with reshaping). After the second time the ring was damaged, we decided to upgrade to a sturdier design. Through the whole ordeal, Shane Co. was fantastic! I have to give special Kudos to Chantel Ironwing! She worked with us from the first time the original ring broke, all the way through the delivery of the replacement ring several months later. FANTASTIC customer service! Please open a store on the gulf coast!!

I was not a purchasing customer, and heres why: Visited Shane Co. based on these Google reviews. I was greeted by Marla who at first seemed interested in helping me. After one distraction for which she apologized, eventually and evidently she lost interest in helping me any longer and passed me to Derrick under the pretense that since she didnt make a commission, it didnt particularly matter who was with me. At this point, already halfway out the door, and it was up to Derrick to salvage the sale. Derrick started off strong and I was on track to purchase, but the situation quickly deteriorated when he kept trying to push products onto me instead of asking and looking more for what I wanted. Felt very pressured, and it was clear that the sale was the only thing on his mind. Sale gone. I gathered data for comparison purposes only and left. Maybe they thought I didnt have a four year, Forbes rated university education and thought they could pull a fast sale on a young, naive customer. One star rating + another star only for their quality and selection. A strong two star. Go at your own risk. Note: Shane Co. admin, do not respond. I will not continue a conversation with you offline. Re-look your manning, corporate vision, and good luck.

Absolutely breathtaking jewelry with top notch customer service! I have recommended Shane Company to many of my friends who were thinking of getting engaged. Every time I walk into their store, Im instantly greeted with a friendly representative who focuses on my needs vs. selling/pitching me on something I absolutely dont want. They want YOU to be pleased with anything you buy at their store. Plus, I walked in to get a cleaning and inspection and they recommended how to gently clean and take care of my engagement ring. I also wanted to look at wedding bands and they showed me the recommended bands that went with my ring. Not ever did I feel pushed or shoved in a direction that I had to buy something. Being someone who pays attention to reviews, I highly recommend this company. They will definitely take care of you and make sure your engagement/wedding/anniversary/or other event is special!

Prices are much more reasonable than I anticipated. Non-commission staff that takes time to help and explain. Update: Dropped to 3 stars. After having selected a stone and ring, and put money down, I found something better at Genesis. I visited Shane to make sure I didnt want those items anymore, and when I asked for my money back the tone of the lady changed. Sure, they dont want to lose a sale, but she became rude and started questioning my decision, and challenging the other stores policies and warranty. It was simple, I found a nicer diamond, cheaper, and a setting I liked more. I had no issue getting my money back, but its going to be difficult to return to Shane to buy the band I found. For not working on commission, Marla seemed very rude. Perhaps it was because there werent enough associates to handle all the customers in the store... on a Friday morning at 10am.
