BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT USE SPEEDWAY FORD (GRIFFIN) I thought I should let all my friends know about an experience I had with a Ford dealership, Speedway Ford dba Griffin Ford Sales located 1710 N Expressway, Griffin GA. We went to this dealerships service department back at the end of Nov. for them to inspect a used car from another dealer we were looking to purchase. It took them 3 hours to finally look at the vehicle. We were told they would do a full inspection over everything in the car so that we knew what we were getting. The cost $75. I went and looked at the car while they were doing the last part. They came back and told us that brakes and tires look good and everything else is good, just a few minor issues and they listed them. We went back and bought the vehicle from the other dealership with the assurance that this inspection should have provided, based off what we believed to be an informed inspection. After this, a few months later we found out that they had not done an inspection as promised and gave false information. My brakes were at 1% they would have noticed that they were low during this inspection but we were told they were great. I was watching them do the inspection they never took off the tires, which now i know that means they never really checked the brakes. I am not a mechanic so I did not know that at a time. We also ended up having to have pay for other parts that were not discovered, but would have been during an inspection. Also, belts etc were dry rotted. This company lied to me about the inspection, charged me for it and there lying to me cost me a good deal of money. I called and spoke to Rusty Bowman, the general manager as soon as all this was discovered at the beginning of March he said he would look into it and would contact me back. He pulled up the invoice right then. I could get no response from Mr. Bowman at all. I hired an attorney a month later to get my $75 back in an effort for them to apologize and make it right. However, Mr. Bowman played games with both my attorney and I. He said my car was never seen there. And kept badgering us for receipts we sent a letter from my bank showing the charge from them.. Then he turned around and said that they did nothing wrong. Since they did not inspect my car that the invoice only said they checked for an off/on issue. Which was not true. Their invoice clearly does say it was an inspection. He has refused to provide the owners information saying its none of my business. His secretary called me a brat. All of this is on tape..He told me just to sue them. I kept calling for the owner Thomas Johnson but was hung up on and put to Rusty instead of them answering the phone, they just transferred to Rusty. He has refused to admit wrong doing OR give a refund without stipulations. I dont want my friends ripped off by a company that lies to women!

This service Dept. SUCKS. Picked up my wifes car today after having warranty/recall work done on the transmission as well as the door latches. Wife got in passenger seat, closed door and off we went to run errands this evening. Reached our destination and the passenger door would not latch shut. Had to have someone come pick her up, had to tie a rope to the passenger door to drive home. They let a vehicle leave their possession that was unsafe to drive. This failure could have been catastrophic at worse, had we been in an accident she could have been ejected. Had a vehicle been coming the other direction around a curve the door could have sung open causing an accident. Trying get to keep the door closed and drive itself was a major concern to my own safety. This is the second time we have had this vehicle in for warranty/recall and the issues they SUPPOSEDLY fixed has failed. Further more I instructed the service write Phil that he is to contact me regarding any communication about the repair of this vehicle and he did not follow my wishes. My wife does not understand vehicles, I guess Phil had a problem with me telling him which TSB he needed to look for and address, I had already spoken with a friend whom is a PTOME who gave me several items to check regarding the recall on the transmission. Nor did they give us any update on the status of the repairs in which the vehicle was in their possession for over a week. I am sure I am gonna get the run around when I ask to speak with the owner of the dealership. I will not waste my time with any so called manager, or anyone in the service Dept. I will escalate this Jon Huntsman as well as Raj Hair. I doubt that I will need to contact them. I have posted pics and videos on every social media platform with every hash tag associated with Ford. It will make its own way to their attention.

So,my little 89 Ranger was cutting off randomly as I was driving home from work one evening. But it finally got me home.So I called this JOKE of a so-called Dealership,so I spoke with a woman service-advisor??Should have known better at this point. She told me she would check it out for 98 dollars. So I got home from work, fired the truck up and drove it down there. She calls me the next day,and tells me it would not start, they had to push it in the door,Im glad I parked it right by the door,so anyway she continues to tell me her TECH said it needed a fuel pump, and this COULD be my problem. Oh,it COULD BE?She told me she could get me an after-market pump for 600 and some change,or a Ford pump for 800 and some change, and the labor to put it on would be 400 and some change.I really think she bumped her head on something,or maybe she thought I did. So,I asked this so called woman advisor, with an attitude by the way how much I owed them, she said 98 dollars, just like I told you.You are going to charge me this for just pushing it in the shop?Really?I told her Auto Zone has got one for 79 dollars. So,I went prepared to tow my truck home, because I was ADVISED it would not crank.I got in it,fired it right up and drove it home, and about 90 bucks later versus 1000-1200 bucks,my Ranger is back on the road.Ihave taken my Mustang to them in the past for service etc,but one thing for sure,I will go 100 miles out of my way next time

Service Dept. has a lot of problems, when I brought the vehicle in with a appointment it took them 2 days to even pull my vehicle in for inspection. When I called and left message for information the service writer never called me back. When I finally reached my writer he spoke very condescending to me. I then frustrated with this treatment called and spoke to the service dept. manager, who promised to look into this treatment. Finally, when called with the diagnosis I was told the problem was going to cost me over $300. Then the manager called and offered a lower price at almost 1/2 of the original estimate, I decided not to get it repaired due to personal reasons, but when I picked up the vehicle the problem was explained to me fully. They explained that there was a problem with a coupling was loose and could not be fastened properly and should be replaced. I thanked them paid a diagnostic fee of $59, went home and made a closer inspection, Yes is was not locking in with various amounts of pressure to the coupling, but when I applied pressure to the coupling and took my finger and lifted the locking device it clicked and now is in place, locked and currently have no problems without investing another dime. So why could not the service department of done this in stead of looking at the easy and costly fix
