I will never buy anything from or step foot in this store again. Very disappointed in poor product quality. I bought redhead outdoor shoes and the quality of the materials was substandard. The velcro and thread were already coming out after one use. My knee joints were paining after one hour due to the hard and stiff shoe bed. I will stick to better quality store where I usually shop that starts with an r and go back to my favorite name brands that are comfy and last long. I am able to walk all day in product I get from higher-end stores where I usually shop. I was lied to by ignorant staff members about the return policies. I took item back unused and unworn within a week with the receipt due to sizing and they disrespected me and treated me badly and made it difficult to return. Talked down to me. I absolutely livid with how I was treated. So, I tried the shoe once and what a bad and uncomfortable experience it was. Took two trips and two hours of my time to get a simple return processed. They dont respect the customer or value your time which is indicator of poor customer service. Ive never had such a bad returns experience in any store ever. Maybe its an indication of their typical clientele. Not worth the hassle or the trip. You lost a potentially great customer. So, good luck if you ever need to return anything. You can get better quality and service at the dollar store.

I dont have a problem with the store but I do have one concern. On two occasion, I experienced the unfair treatment of its black customers. I was buying ammo, as I was waiting in line at checkout counter an older white man was in line in front of me buying ammo as well. He was buyung a lot of ammo, over $300 worth, the cashier never asked him for his FOID card. But when it was my turn, before she scanned my first item she asked to see my card. I didnt make a big deal out of it. Now just the other day I went there again and experienced the same thing. I was in the hunting section getting ready to buy more ammo because me and some of my friends like to go shooting at the gun range. There was a younger white man buying ammo the was locked in the ammo case. The sales rep came over and opened up the case and game him a 500 round box of 9mms, not once was he asked to show his FOID card. The man gets his rounds and leaves, I asked the same sales rep for 4 boxes of 9mms and before he opened the case he asked to see my card and he took a little time looking at it before he gave me the boxes. Look Im the last guy to call out racism but I experienced it first hand on two separate occasions. Bass Pro please work on it, Im a person who likes to shoot at the gun range and fish, so I spend a lot of money there and I would hate to have to go somewhere else. Thanks a concern customer.

I cant say enough about the manager Bryan and his staff at Bass pro in Bolingbrook. We had a very upset little 7 yr old after his visit there to Santa.I wrote Bass Pro and explaining how this little boy lost his dog and asked Santa for a new one,and was told They cant bring live things. Now he had lost his faith in Santa. This little boy is a adopted foster child so hes all ready seen so much loss in his short life. Bryan called me and told me how sorry they were and how they would love to help restore his faith in Santa again. We had all ready planned to give him a new puppy for Christmas, but what Bass Pro did was beyond the neatest thing a little boy cold ask for. They had Santa take him aside and explain the last visit, then get up and go into Santas house and hand him his new puppy. This is something he will never forget! Bass Pro could of just told me they was sorry and left it at that. But they showed they really do care about people!! I cant thank Bryan and Bass Pro enough for making a little boy feel like he was the most important person that day. Your the best Bryan and Bass pro. We need more businesses like you!!!

We were looking for sausage stuffing/cooking/camping gear. We enjoy going to Bass Pro Shops as a family. Very similar to Cabellas. Love the atmosphere, the animals, the fish tank, the waterfall! We found silicone handles for our Lodge cast iron skillets, which are really great!! We found splatter screens for cooking too, those are wonderful! We were able to get ammo that we havent found at other sporting goods stores. We were greeted by staff in every section of the store and we found those that helped us to be knowledgeable regarding our inquiries. The BIG bonus we werent anticipating was the restaurant! The SALT WATER FISH TANK is amazing, we really enjoyed that. We had fish and chips and everything on the plate was good. The tartar sauce is scratch made and the cole slaw was delicious. The fish was perfect. It was a nice surprise to have all the food be good. We bought some nice shirts that were on sale as well. We had a great visit and will be returning. The only negative is that the prices were on the high side, but you have to make up for all the atmosphere somewhere, I guess? :-)

I was shopping at BP Shop in Bolingbrook yesterday and saw this really cute chestnut moccasins. All the boxes under the display showed the color brown only so I asked the store associate in the vicinity (I learned later his name was Joel and he’s a team leader) where I could find the chestnut colors. He barely paused and told me that whatever I see on the floor that’s all they have. He didn’t even try to look or give any indication that he would like to help me. I saw another store associate, Zach, and asked him if there were any other chestnut colors. Zach very pleasantly said that he will look in the stock room to see if there were any more. He didn’t find any in the back room but search the shoe area in case displays were moved around. We did find an entire display of the chestnut colors and I happily purchased a pair. Thank you Zach for being so nice and helpful. My experience with Joel left me wondering how such a rude and unhelpful person became a team leader. After reading all the other reviews it looks like rudeness is common in this store. I will try my best to stay away.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience at Bass Pro Bolingbrook today!! This morning our special needs class took a field trip to see Santa, however when we arrived we were told the line was 45 minutes to an hour, and we werent sure wed have enough time before needing to catch our bus back to school. A very kind member of the staff overheard myself and 2 other teachers discussing what we should do & without hesitation offered to push us up in line. We were escorted to the front in moments. I have to also say that everyone we passed in line was extremely understanding & kind about us cutting. We were able to take our pictures & afterwards we still had time to show our students the large stuffed bear & the fish! It was just an overall fabulous experience, that to be completely honest left us in awe. Thank you Bass Pro & thank you to all the understanding kind parents waiting in line. Happy Holidays all!!
