It is a great store with a great selection (lots of organic products/produce and specialty items that are hard to find elsewhere). The cooking demos have actually gotten me to purchase/prepare foods that I never would have tried otherwise. The staff is friendly and helpful--for instance, if you want to know more about how a product will taste, they will open a container for you to sample. They seem to be committed to environmental stewardship and fair labor practices. I suppose the only reason I cant give the five stars is that New Seasons Market is the most expensive grocery store in the neighborhood (though in their defense, eco-responsibility and living wages drive up costs). I shop here for the healthy, fresh food and to "vote with my dollars," not to bargain hunt.

Good selection of unique and avarage products. They abuse their staff though and pay them horribly. Good for the customer, bad for the employees. Usually your typical customer is upper class and very prissy. You get people so lazy they dont even want to read the signs in the aisle and would rather you show them exactly where to go. This company was once good, but is going down hill fast. As this company grows it gets worse every year. When it was smaller it had more consideration for all customers and staff, but now is failing to cater toward those people. Considering that its goal is to provide great customer service, and fair treatment of employees, it fails in both categories. I would shop elsewhere.

I love this new seasons, its a great location and the staff are always helpful and sweet. My only complaint, and the reason behind my 3 star rating, is their absolute lack of vegan fare. It seems as though, at best, the deli/hot bar might have option daily MAYBE and options you might think as vegan actually are not; for instance, today I was about to pick up some yummy looking soy curls from the hot bar only to find they had been cooked in chicken stock- it seems bizarre to me to cook a meat alternative in chicken stock. Another time I ordered a tofu dish only to discover it contained fish sauce. Why not love for the vegans of PDX New Seasons, I want to love you but you must feed me first!

Pretty basic modern grocery store. Prices match the neighborhood and it is a future yuppie haven. The selection is good and the staff is nice. I couldnt wrap my head around items I see other places for $1.50 being sold here for $4.00. They dont seem to be too concerned about having Nestle products next to organic items. I did not see many local products that I shop for. I did see plenty of out of state products. I prefer going places that source locally or at least have local/regional items next to items from Texas/North Carolina/New Jersey. Maybe in the future I will try it again.

Best source for good produce, outside of local farmers markets. Frequently quite expensive. Some items justify the cost because they are rare, hard to find, or very exceptional quality. However, it is wise to comparison shop to be sure you arent paying a lot more than necessary for regular grocery items. Same is true of produce. Ive often found cheaper, local, organic produce items at some Fred Meyers. Generally, friendly and helpful employees.

Most of the New Seasons stores have a similar layout and selection. This particular location is currently my favorite because of the proximity to downtown (where I live and work) and the ease of in-and-out parking. However, I think it will lose its appeal when the area becomes more crowded and they run completely out of parking. There are already days when its tough to park anywhere near the store.

The store has a very clean appearance, nothing it untidy or out of place. It was not too hard to find the section that I was looking for. However, I was unable to find the product that I wanted. The employees were very helpful in trying to find what I needed, but unfortunately it just wasnt in stock. I left a comment on their card about it and had a reply received within a few days.

I come here for the coffee, food bar and pastries. A coffee and croissant is cheaper than what you pay for at that chain store with a green mermaid, and they have plentiful outdoor seating areas. They accept wireless (NFC) payment, which is my preferred method of payment in this second decade of the 21st century -- Im sure others will eventually catch up, later in this century.

The location could not be more convenient is you live in Northwest Portland. The store is bright and full of exposed old growth beams from the original construction. The public seating at the entrance is nice and the outdoor dining area is great even if it is a bit small. The selection of items is good, particularly the meats and produce. Over all the store has a great vibe.

What you would typically expect from a natural foods store. Plenty of typical brand names that you would expect to see for a reasonable price, along with the occasional locally produced gem for dirt chip, mixed in with the extremely expensive "all natural" brand products. If you shop smart, you could shop here. If you dont care about how much you spend, you could shop here.

I am a regular customer at New Seasons Slabtown store. I get wonderful, generous customer service from the staff, which I so appreciate. The produce department is especially nice, offering samples always. The sampling desk by the south door is also staffed with a warm, friendly team as is the hot food counter. Good work New Seasons!! Five Stars for you!

If you love farmers markets for the local produce and ability to taste ingredients before purchasing, youll love New Seasons! Not only do they have seasonal sample produce pre-cut for tasting, you can also ask to try a specific thing and theyll happily cut you a slice. Friendly staff, fresh food, happy theres a NS in my neighborhood.

This is definitely the most uppity of these stores. Surprised they dont have some one with free sticks at the front of the store. Asked for help twice and got attitude both times like doing their job shouldnt require being hands on and helpful. If you want to get paid to stand around go stand with the homeless outside your store.

This New Seasons is such a valuable addition to the ever-growing Slabtown neighborhood. The cafe is bright and airy and the employees are so nice. You can sign up to receive emails electronically and the registers will recognize you each time you use the same credit card. They also offer periodic wine tastings and free WiFi.

I love shopping at New Seasons. This location has a pretty cramped parking lot. Its especially bad for me because I drive a midsize SUV. Other than that the store is awesome. Super helpful staff. Great selection. The hot food at lunch is really great and stands on its own considering all the great restaurants near by.

LOVE the store. However, at this particular location, your sandwich counter employees - 60 % of the time - Get my sandwich order wrong. And its one of the numbered ones on the menu! It takes at least two people every time to figure a pre menued sandwich out. And even without a line it takes forevvvveeerrr.

La barra de Alimentos tien una gran variedad de opciones desde ensaladas, salamis e incluso opciones calientes. Su macarrone chese is delicious!
