It is better generally by far than any other store in the area except New Seasons or Trader Joes, which are about 3 times or more as far from my home. The prices at Palisades are actually are the same or better than Safeway. Safeway does not really have bargain prices. Safeway used to have real bargains, but now it is moderate quality for a slightly high price. I have made a list of items I ordinarily buy and compared Safeways prices and Palisades.... Each time I did that test, Palisades was higher quality for within a dollar of the same price. Some of the people seem to sincerely enjoy working there rather than smiling because they were told to. The store looks better every time I visit. There are some true bargains if you look closely. Their bargains are not just raising the price first and then lowering it. However, if I want a lot of bargains I go to Grocery Discount or Trader Joes. Grocery Discount and T J are far away. If I have something in mind and want to get it right away, I choose Palisades every time. I go to Palisades when I do not have time to drive out to New Seasons or Grocery Discount or Trader Joes. Palisades is the best place for every day purchases from something for baking or an accompaniment to a BBQ or a container of yogurt for breakfast. NOTE: The prices at Market of Choice are higher for similar quality. I have deliberately gone to each and priced items on a fairly common list of items I buy regularly. Market of Choice is for rich people, and I am not one! The people at Palisades are friendly and welcoming. The only store similar in this regard is Trader Joes, which is about 3 times as long a trip for me.

For over a year, I have had problems with produce at Lambs. Once my daughter bought 6 eggplants to make eggplant parmesan for an event and all 6 were brown inside. She had to take them back and have them cut open each new one before she bought it. Ive bought the plastic-covered four packs of corn twice (youd think Id learn) only to discover on opening them that the ends were moldy. I bought some avocados and they were 90 percent seed and the little flesh that was left was brown. So I dont buy any produce there that has any concealed areas.

I have been shopping at Palisades Market for over 16 years now and have always had a great experience. Large selection of high quality items, very friendly and helpful staff. My favorite thing about Palisades Market is how supportive they are of our local schools. Nick and the rest of the management has always been a great supporter of the community in general. Many of our local kids have experienced their first jobs at Palisades Market. Their wine tasting and food tasting events are a highlight in the neighborhood.

Since the change of ownership there seems to have been a disturbing change in the business. I was in there Monday and given a lecture about liberals and gay rights by a cashier. I was deeply offended. I was a twenty five year or longer customer....Most of these reviews belong to the prior owners due to their fine work .

Lambs has a lot of local produce, a great deli selection with BBQ ribs and chicken that are cooked fresh every day (seriously, you can smell them cooking it!) and a growler and tasting station. This place is great!

Not as organic or discounted as 365, and not as organic, upscale, or friendly as New Seasons. Good wine staff, and Ive heard decent things about the butcher. A step above Safeway, basically.

I drive by this market frequently but never stopped. I did because I had a sharing spree. $15 for $30 of groceries. I was very impressed with their selection. They grind their own meat!

Standard grocery store with a few cool small town sort of perks. Free Apples for kids, and a parking space for those just with children. Its rather expensive though.

Good market. Fairly close to the high school so it can be pretty convenient. They carry my favorite tortilla chips AND my favorite salsa, so thats a WIN.
