I have reached out to Atlanta Motorcycles & Repair on two occasions now(both of which were phone calls). I first called 3 months ago to get an idea on what might potentially be wrong with the Piaggio scooter that had recently been given to me. It was not starting and had been sitting for a few years so I really wasnt quite sure where to begin as I had no scooter expertise. Within the first 3 minutes of the call I was appalled at the manner in which the store representative communicated with me. He not only had a condescending and demeaning tone, but also illustrated very little care/patience. To top it off the estimate he gave me just to begin considering finding the problem was over $200 dollars. A couple of months later -- After finding another scooter repair nearby I was able to nearly get my scooter fully restored. Turned out it just needed the carburetor cleaned, oil, and a new battery for a very reasonable price. The one other issue was the starter. I needed to get the part myself, so I figured I would call Atlanta Motorcycles & Repair to see if I could simply get it orderd....Upon calling I was questioned 3 times about whether I had just called and told that the only way for me to get a part was to bring the scooter to the store! What kind of business model is that?? Additionally, he too began bashing whomever had done work on the scooter previously. Ultimately, I would say shame on me for calling back a second time in what would total out to be about 10 minutes of my life that I cant get back. Im also still trying to get the starter issue resolved...

Please do not use this place! We took my mentally disabled sisters scooter that she uses in our neighbor to this shop for repair. When we went to pick it up the refused to take my Credit/Debit card even with my id. He said “I refuse to accept this” My first and last name it took long to fit on the Credit Card so the card companies allow me to use the short form of my first name. The state of Georgia prints part of my name and allow me to sign the same shorten version of my name in the signature line. This is not a new thing I am 53 years old and have always had to do this and I have never had an issue. TSA allow me to fly, I am been to many counties in Europe and Mexico never had an issue. When I tried to explain to the owner he explained to me the only people who complain are people who are thieves. I said what! I was shocked! I work and as IT manager and I have worked for the same company for 20 years. I have taken care of my mentally ill sister for the last 20 years. I was floored by him manor and accusation. I was forced to go to the bank and with withdraw cash. When we return he continued to act as if I had gone out and robbed a bank to get the money. He was just on a power trip. He had wanted to purchase the scooter when we brought it in but we said no. He said it was a great well-made brand. We still said no thank you. I think he was trying to force to be unable to pay for the repairs so he could keep the scooter. I have NEVER be treat so badly by any business owner…… Please BEWARE of this shop!!!!

Worst service experience of my life. Mechanic took three days to figure out how to start the scooter during which time he insisted the starter solenoid was bad (hint, hold down the brake first when starting). Mechanic then supposedly did the carb clean asked for, but bike still will not start at all now, and the mechanic claims it might be leaking coolant into the engine (which it certainly was not doing before I brought it in). At that point I asked them what they would give me for the scooter as its new mechanical state is over my head. After a week of daily brush-offs the owner finally makes an offer of scrap value price. I will be taking the scooter to a real mechanic to find out what they have done. Update: turns out the coolant was leaking into the engine because a coolant line was plugged into a vacuum line on the carb the mechanic took out to clean, So this was totally the fault of the mechanic. DO NOT use these guys for any kind of mechanical work unless you want to end up worse than you were.

Ive gone to these guys a few times now for work on my 1979 Honda GL1000 and they have earned my business every time. The techs are highly competent overall, but Ive been particularly impressed with how willing and able they are to work on my old Honda, which most dealers either wont do or will charge an arm and a leg to do. I dont own a Chinese scooter, but that is also one of their specialties that apparently nobody else wants to work on. I read some of the negative reviews before writing this one and they dont paint an accurate picture based on the several times Ive used these guys. I guess you cant please everyone. Their prices are fair, the techs are very knowledgeable and obviously take pride in what they do, and they dont look for excuses to charge additional labor hours like dealers do.

We have relied on these people for years prior, back when they were handling scooters. They were some of the only people to handle work for the cheap Chinese scooters in ATL, and they always did a great job and a reasonable price. Now, they are focused on the motorcycle market, but they have still gone out of their way to assist us as older customers. Yes, it can sometimes take a little while to get a part or they have a wait due to demand, but they have always done quality work, offered friendly service, and gone above and beyond to make something right in the rare case something goes wrong. you can find good service here or there, but if youre looking for good people, too, this is the place.

About 1.5 years ago, took my bike here when it was having trouble starting. To make a long story short, it had to go back and forth to the shop several times (and I got stranded several times on the fixed bike) before the problem was solved, and they did about $700 of unnecessary work trying to fix it. To top it off, they treated me like an idiot every time I interacted with them. Trying to avoid a long ride to another store, I stopped in here last week to buy some parts. Only interacted with the girl at the desk, but she was nice and got me what I needed at a fair price. I dont think Id ever do any service here again, but Ill buy random/cheap things like o-rings here.

Nothing...100 dollars for an oil change??shouldve walked out on you then but decided to give you another go at it, so i paid for your bs "diagnostic" only to have the bike act up one me. I fixed it myself because you wanted yet ANOTHER 100 just to TOUCH the darn thing...no, it aint no deathtrap, i ride it daily., your worthless mechanics are more apt to get me killed because they did .not .bleed.my back brakes whatsoever...ive owned several bikes i may be stupid but i aint no dummy...ya i gave you the middle finger in the parking lot cus ur a punk...gimme a break...
