I was in the area and stopped in to buy celery. The outside of the store was poorly lit so it was hard to tell that it was even open. I arrived just before 10pm. I used the restroom which wasnt very clean, but this isnt my issue. I needed to pee so it had to do. I had 5 items total. When I had arrived in the store, the self check outs were open. I had no cart or basket and was holding everything in my arms. I have arthritis and its hard to walk far or stand for any length of time. When I went to check out, there was one check out open (#7), and there were a few people on line, including somebody with many items in his cart. The other people only had a few items like me. There was another employee (young male), that told one lady she could go to register 5. I thought he was just going to take care of a few of us so we could all be on our way. He then asked me if we were together. I told him we werent, and then he told me he was only taking her. SERIOUSLY!? Then after he was helping her, two other young men got on line that I believe were employees. Then I noticed he turned on his light. Then, I loudly asked if he was open. One of the young men looked at me so I know I was loud enough. I was ignored, and THAT is the second thing that made me very angry. I was about to leave all my stuff right there and leave. I was THAT angry. But, I needed the damn celery and I didnt have the energy to go to another store. Thankfully, a woman came out from a door next to the courtesy counter and offered to help me on register 6. I was very appreciative and thanked her for helping me. This should never have happened. Ive worked in customer service for over 20 years. I know how it can be with young kids and these part time jobs, etc. But, its still unacceptable. If people are going to be treated like this, theyre not going to come into the store to shop. Thats not good for business. Im so unsatisfied with my visit last night. Im still fuming.

I find that Stop & Shop is pretty pricy compared to a lot of the neighboring supermarkets. I do like that they have a lot of vegetarian products. What I am very displeased about is the freezer in the organic/vegetarian/health food isles. Look at my enclosed photo and see the filth on the bottom of freezer. Supposedly a while back those freezers were emptied and being worked on however they were not cleaned. Time & time again I would go & still those frost bitten lima beans have been sitting there amongst the other mess. How disgusting seeing this while shopping for food in that freezer. I decided not to purchase anything from there and went to another market. They supposedly take pride in their market but the dirt, frost bitten bits of food & who knows what else in in that mix on the floor of your freezers says otherwise. Not appealing at all. Get those freezers cleaned!

We usually use the scanners that you walk around the store with, but in the middle of our time, the scanners stopped working due to a communication issue, and also none of the weight stations were working to label produce. Ended up just going through a normal checkout line and wasted time trying to use the scanners. Also, the produce selection seemed to be smaller than other stop and shops I had been to, but not certain. Specifically, we went looking for Serrano Peppers but was nowhere to be found.

This location is terrible! None of the self service scales for produce are ever working. Checking out at the scan it aisle is a nightmare every time and their employees dont seem to have the required training to assist. Today was the last time I will ever try to shop there. I had to walk out without my groceries after spending an hour shopping because the check-it registers were locked up. Im done! The management stinks!

garbage management...the handheld shopping baskets are never in the front where theyre supposed to be you have to travel through the store to find one...i confronted the manager and told him he should be cracking that whip and tell his employees to gather them up and put them by the front entrance...he looked at me like i had some nerve making that suggestion....secondly some of the employees suck!!!!

Lower cost than the local Fresh Market, Uncle Giuseppes, Trader Joes or Whole Foods but sub-standard when compared with other stop & shops, like West Islip and Northport. Store is confused, selection is limited, and the focus too much on non-food related items

Nice inside and they have boars head. But however, the prices are not good and neither are the bagged salads. I just get my cold cuts and my other shopping is done at waldbaums. Youre better off going to waldbaums for good prices and nice people

I find that the fruit/vegetable selection isnt usually as good as Ronkonkoma, and they dont have as large an organics section, but otherwise this location is very good.

Sale items never is stock, some times not for a month, many items are not on the shelf for weeks on end, bottle return room dirty most of the time

Basic stop and shop ... Sometimes the produce section looks like it missed a delivery. The baby formula is behind the courtesy booth.
