BEST MEAT EVER! So we actually make it a family tradition to go to the meat market together and shop. I mean their selection is just overwhelming. I dont like buying meat from anywhere else. This place has fresh meat. They are clean. Well, as clean as you can be from chopping up bloody meat all day. The prices are really good and they always have a special every weekend. My tip do not go 1 hour before closing because then they are just trying to get rid of meat selections that didnt move all day. On holidays please plan and try to get your meat shopping in at least 3 days before because this place can get crowded and the wait could almost be unbearable. However, this is only because they have been in business since like forever and its very popular...due to their quality and selection. Also, they have some on going contest there where you can win like a couple of hundreds of dollars worth of groceries. I havent won yet but I sign up for the drawing every time I go and qualify. Now, FYI remember to only buy your meat there. All other sides and groceries go to the store because you will find the prices to be very expensive for everything other than meat.

Went there with high hopes, I like supporting small local businesses. Prices are the same as any grocery store(closer) so the only reason to go there is for personal service. The people at the meat counter are usually very nice and accommodating but I had to return some meat that had gone bad. I bought it 3 days before and when I opened it is stank. When I took it back "Javier" one of their "managers" had me come back to the counter past the "Employees Only" sign where is told me rather rudely "Its your fault, you left it out in the heat! We dont sell meat like that". He was VERY nasty and bitter, told me FOUR TIMES that it was my fault. I told him that I did not leave it out, why would I spend $26 on meat to leave it out? I didnt want my money back, just to replace them. He threw them in the trash right in front of me with a very disgusted attitude and again said "Its YOUR fault!". I can pay the same price closer to home and get better service. Everyone makes mistakes but to blame the customer?! BAD - I WILL NOT BE BACK!

Buffalo -- Strip steaks, rib eye, ground or other cuts ... delicious. Amazing taste, different then beef, but subtly so. My connection at GGMC brought me a pile of Buffalo rib eyes... and they are amazing. My guy at GGMC kind of apologized, and Im thinking -- are you kidding? This is Great! Buffalo. You gotta try it. Buffalo meat is lower in fat, lower in cholestrol, and higher in the meaty nutrients that are good for us. Plus, buffalo cant live on the horrible corn-diets that are forced on cows, which means the animals themselves are healthier overall and dont require all the antibiotics. Ive have buffalo meat from other sources, but serious, GGMC has the best tasting, most beautiful buffalo steaks Ive ever had.

Honestly, if there was a no star review I would do it. I drove 45 min in traffic just to get some meat for 4th of July. I got there at 6:59 pm and doors were closed. I had 1 minute left and they decided to close the doors a minute before. Mind you, there were still people inside finishing their shopping. I understand if it was a bunch of people wanting to get in, but it was only my wife and I. Unbelievable. I had asked to speak to a manager and she gave me a nasty attitude. Telling me its not her problem and to turn around and go home? Unbelievable... I had experience bad service but by far this was the worst. I always come here but I no longer recommend this location for anyone else.

My dad and I love to come whenever we can, Always get our deer sausage (spicy of coarse) here and the spicy beef sausage is great too. Always fresh and consistent great taste, they never disappoint! All of the older employees are EXTREMELY sweet and take care of you as if youve known them for years and i love it really wish i could remember their names so that I could mention them but the only thing i can remember is one was black and the other was white. Both sweethearts so look for them lol. & from my experience the young ones act like they dont want to work or serve you with an attitude &try to rush you.

The meat is very fresh, and it cooks very well. But, the prices are Alright. Ill shop here more often, but its not a replacement for the regular grocery store. The only other problem is that the attitude of the staff can be offsetting sometimes. I know I had a less than pleasant order. But instead of getting it packaged how I wanted, the worker gave me attitude by way of exasperation so I just settled for an easier way for him. He didnt say "No" or anything, I just wasnt trying to make his day more difficult so I gave another option. Otherwise this Meat Market is definitely worth a stop. •_•

Bunch of cry babies giving this place bad reviews over things that dont really matter. Heres what matters, this place has meat, lots and lots of meat. Good meat. Better than anything youll find at randalls, krogers, heb, sprouts, whole foods, wherever. So if youre not a little pansy who gets their feelings hurt anytime a business or its employees dont kiss your ass at every turn then come here and get your meat. Let those cry babies get their scraped no meat ribs from the grocery store.

I called and a lady answered mad at the world decided better not go over there but my wife said lets give it a shot maybe they are not so bad we went butchers are real nice but well two weeks later I called amd argued with somebody over something rediculous as to what they had available to male things esier never call them they are idiots over the phone makes u regret spending any money there

I always get my meat from meat markets because its fresh, and full of flavor. When I moved to Houston about 4yrs ago, my husband recommend this place and Im glad he did!!! Their quality of meat is amazing, and the chicken is so full of fresh flavor, I dont buy any meat from the grocery stores anymore!! I tell everyone about this place!!! I love going there I look forward to it!!!!!

Only had a conversation on the phone with them but doubt I will go here - they blew their first impression with me with a poor customer experience. If you have someone answering a phone who is only repeating answers from someone else, you might have the wrong person answering the phone!

Best boudain ever (the place in Beaumont shut down). The people here are friendly, and so are the customers. Very old school in a great way. Wish there was a location closer to me, Im positive they have the profits to do so, but oh well. They are always worth the drive!

Huge selection of homemade sausages, always fresh meats. B&W offers everything for a barbecue, besides the smoker or grill. They sell your usual meats, but also offer wild meats, rabbit, turtle, and alligator. Great Customer service.
