La Familia is a fantastic neighborhood resource! I love how we can decide to do some last minute grilling on a Sunday and walk over there to pick up everything we need to make delicious burgers or fajitas. No theyre not going to have your typical selection of protein bars or rows of organic stuff. For that youll need to go to a larger grocery store. You will find friendly people, great meat, beer, and most importantly a seemingly limitless supply of perfectly ripe avocados. Oh, and just about any "flaming hot" flavored chips you can think of! And if youre looking for instant gratification swing by to get some fresh tacos. The barbacoa is excellent, especially on the weekends! Give it a try next time you drive by. Its a perfect little neighborhood market and you will not be disappointed.

Awesome service, friendly employees and above all, AMAZING TACOS!! They have a huge variety of deliciousmeats to fill you taco and tortas(big Mexican sandwich)! Personally I loved the excellent salsa which like they're tortillas and tamales are made fresh everyday in house!! If you're in houston its a cant miss!

My girlfriend and I walked in and were treated by a man who was very nice and mentioned to us all the meats they have and how they can cut it any way we like. They seemed like good people so I will be coming back to this place. Very good first impression.

Their fajita meat is the best that Ive ever had. The food is authentic Mexican; you can get lengua, chicorone, barbocoa tacos and plates. The store sells the meat seasoned as well, for you to cook up at home. They are also always super nice, and helpful.
