Revival Market is now less of a grocery cafe and is a now a full service sit down restaurant. I think it is the best new restaurant to open in the neighborhood since they opened their last one just down the street last year. It has a small menu so we have tried about everything and it all seemed perfect. The dishes were all relatively simple but had details that made them more interesting and hopefully worth the price. They specialize here in curing/aging their own meats so the charcuterie plate is a required dish when you eat here. It came with a larger than typical assortment of meats and included house made head cheese. If you can pull off putting head cheese on a meat platter than it must be good right? would also say the 5 stars applies to dinner but not breakfast because for some reason the service seems to fall off a cliff in the morning. Also beware that right now the place is BYOB with a $10 cork fee while they work on their liquor license.

What a neat little meat and cheese market. I love their little grocery store full of local jams, breads, meats and cheese!!! I didnt get to stick around to have lunch but I will be BACK as that Quinoa burger has my name written all over it! Its a tight and cozy place. They have a small area outside for people to sit and eat and a little dining area inside. This is a great place for a causal lunch or coffee with friends. The front parking lot is small but there is street parking on the side. My friend wants to make sure I take her back so that she can get an assorted portion of meats and cheeses. Oh and shes a stickler about Blackberry Jam and only eats the jam with seeds! Revival has the seeds, that made her sooo happy. See you all soon!

Does any of the staff taste the side orders? I tried 3 on 2/1 and the best one was tasteless. The other two were awful. The ginger lime slaw only tasted like fish sauce. I would really liked to have been warned it had fish sauce in it. The potato salad - I dont know what it tasted like other than vinegar. Mustard already has vinegar in it. Why would you add apple cider vinegar as well as sherry vinegar? There was some other flavors I could not identify. The potatoes themselves had no flavor. Red potatoes are waxy and do not absorb flavor. I ordered a BLT that would have been good but the bacon was thick and hard...very difficult to chew. If you are going serve thick bacon, it must be crisp. Otherwise it is just hard.

Revival Market is a really gorgeous place tucked away in the Heights. Its a really cool looking market, with fresh cut flowers and vintage looking jars and such. The flowers are very pretty and, in my opinion, are a good price. They also have Fluff Cake Bar, which makes amazing desserts (especially cookies). Their restaurant menu is a bit small though. I had a croque monsieur sandwich and a a latte. The sandwich was really good, and you can tell the meat was fresh, but I have had better lattes. It came in a paper cup that was a bit hot, I would have liked for a cardboard grip to wrap around the coffee cup because it was a bit hot. Its also crowded during lunch hours but well worth it.

What was good about this place: 1) Fresh bread 2) Good sides. Ginger lime slaw was really delicious. Fresh, delicately sliced but still kept a crunch. Heirloom bean salad was lightly dressed & done well 3) Charchuterie plate was a good variety of cured meats & was delicious. Reasonable price $13 4) Very cute market inside that reminded me of Portland. Assorted fresh breads, jams, produce. Bound to find a gift for a foodie friend. 5) Salted caramel pretzel dessert in a cup that was delicious! Did not enjoy: 1) $8 shrimp & oyster soup- did not taste good at all... 2) $11 for a grilled cheese sandwich that had measly portions of cheese

We were extremely disappointed to order breakfast, with quite an untrained assistant at the till, then 45 minutes later there was still no breakfast. Nothing was mentioned by staff about the delay, and then we called the manager: she came ten minutes later with some "mimosas" but no breakfast. When we asked, were told there was a backlog, and that it was still coming. Despite there looking not too busy, we reached a full hour and still no sign of the 2 breakfasts we ordered. Would definitely put us off going back, as service was pretty shocking, and we ended up leaving without eating anything.

We enjoyed getting some tea/coffee and deserts at revival. And eating on the patio. We were treated like kings. Everything was brought to our table including a glass of ice water, which i thought was thoughtful sense we didnt ask for one but was brought one just in case. The Barista came later and checked to see how we enjoyed everything. Made from scratch and soo delish. I had the oatmeal cream pie, the best ive ever had! My husband the chocolate moose layer cake with cream cheese frosting, he loved the fact that it was light. Give it a try!!

This is a great lunch spot in the Heights offering unique sandwiches, soups and salads. There is a sandwich and salad combo, but if you ask, theyll do a sandwich/soup combo for you...and their soups are really nice. My favorite is the mushroom soup, which is almost like a cream of mushroom. Its delicious. Get here early on weekdays if youre going for lunch because the seating inside is a bit limited. Its also a great spot to sit down and have a quick coffee or pick up a few groceries. They have a great selection of meats and cheeses.

As someone who has lived in Europe and experienced the decadence of local markets, this is exactly what I would want in Houston. Everything from the food, to the coffee, to the displays is delicate and precise. The staff is well informed about all the products that they have. They can even explain the origin as well. I had no idea that Houston has its own salt! The coffee. Oh the coffee. Im even getting excited thinking about the coffee. Plus the milk they use is local. Revival Market is a slice of heaven.

One of my favorite places in Houston. The meat, produce, and dry goods are somewhat pricey, but all high-quality, and almost all locally-produced. The coffee program is great. But my favorite part about Revival is the special Saturday breakfasts. Every Saturday they make a breakfast special thats 100% from scratch and ts pretty uniformly amazing. They announce them on their FB page the day before, my favorites include kolaches, bagels w/smoked salmon, and the pulled pork biscuit.

The service was great I ordered a Ruben with lime slaw. I was given my order and they apologized for the wait which wasnt that long around 1 pm ...took my order to go opened up the sandwich it was slightly greasy but even worse most of the meat was burnt I guess from being left on the flat top too long. The sauerkrauut on top was nothing special and not enough of it. For an $18 sandwich I doubt Ill be back Jasons Delis Ruben has never let me down.

Maybe its just a matter of personal taste, but every time I come here the hot beverages are Barney lukewarm. I have to send them back, even today when I asked for my chai latte to be served extra hot, it was just warm. That, however, is the only complaint I can reach for. The food is fantastic, the service is friendly, and the market items are unique and high quality. Every thing on the menu is good.
