I took a deer in for processing and was giving a price. When I went to pick up the deer the price had increased by 30$. When I asked about the 30$ I was told that it was for skinning the deer. I have taken in many many deer and the price for processing always included skinning. Chris, the owners son was mouthy, rude and downight disrepectfull. Perhaps his daddy should of put him over his knee to correct his snotty attitude. If I wasnt a law biding man, I probably would of clocked him for being such an ass. Anyway, they have lost a longtime customer becuase of their price deception and I wont be going there anymore. If you like high prices and bad customer services, then by all means, this is the place to go.

Ive been meaning to check this place out for awhile. Im so glad I finally went in today to get some steaks for my husbands birthday dinner. This place reminded me of the butcher shop in my hometown on the East Coast. Ribeye steaks are what I ended up getting. I cant express with words how amazing they turned out. Better than at a steak house, no exaggeration. I did a standard marinade and put a dollop of garlic/chive butter on top, it was heavenly, but I honestly feel that even if I didnt do anything extra, the steaks would have still been delicious. This is where Im getting all my meat from now on!

This place is one of the best kept secrets in the Kansas City area. It may not look like much, but it has the best, freshest meat around. And unlike fancy places like McGonigles, the prices are highly competitive. You just cant find meat like this in a supermarket. If you like a good steak, fresh sausage, smoked pork chops, or anything else you can think of, you owe it to yourself to check this place out.

Excellent selection of meats and cheeses. A couple of which are hard to find most places such as souse (or head cheese) and Jacks Habenero Ghost Cheese. They also make some excellent spicy beef jerky. Everything is very well priced and the staff feom the butchers to the cashiers are very friendly.

Great butcher shop! Love these guys & girls. Ive made many purchases here--everything from steaks, ground beef, bone-in turkey breasts, to pork chops and beef jerky. I will faithfully do business with The Store until they give me a damn fine reason to go somewhere else! Thanks guys!
