They have a pretty big selection of banchan (Korean side dishes) and some hot dishes. I got the Korean dumplings which is 3x the size of Chinese dumplings and an container of spicy fish cakes. The dumplings were good and filling. The fish cake had so much garlic and onion, Im sure the few bites I took, I could melt metal with my breath. They have a small fresh seafood selection, a big selection of frozen seafood. Everything here is organized and neatly arranged. I like the small snack packages here. I think thats the different between Asians and American snacks, the snack serving are small. I am assuming one should only eat one bag. One thing I really like here is they have this potato fries snack, made by Calbea. They are shaped like fries, very crunchy, and lightly salted. Ive only found this at this store and one other store. I completely load up on snacks here. They also have a goods store, you can buy various cookware and other household goods.

Produce has been over priced, rotten and inedible in the past. Wish they would shut down for a couple days and reevaluate their storage and sanitation methods as the stench is quite an assault to the senses the moment you walk in. Unique cultural and traditional Korean offerings are prevalent, and the staff is very kind and accommodating. If it werent for the horrible smell that completely destroys my Chefs nose and ability to appreciate and get inspired by different products, Id probably shop here more often. Then again, Im not Korean, never been to Korea and this is a Korean market. Pick up some lychee drinks and snacks before you stroll through the galleries in the neighborhood on First Friday!

I dont think you understand how amazing this place is....no, just stop right there, you have no clue, well maybe you do if youre a regular but I sure as heck didnt. As a guy whos traveled all around the world, I felt like a kid who was able to see and buy all of his favorite products in one place. I was being dragged out by security (not literally but figuratively) because I couldnt believe what I was seeing! Mexican, Japanese, Korean, and all other kinds of products I have yet to find anywhere else in California. If you have a chance to check them out, go ahead and go, you wont regret it. This is just my take, do what you like, Im not your parent :)

Koreana, your our go to for Korean things From meat, to kimchee, and those chips that are like onion rings I go to you for kalbi, I go to you for Yogurt drinks Youre not in alameda, so that kinda stinks all in all, youre a solid asian market Got a parking lot so in there with my car I park it (man, its hard to rhyme with market, did you know that?! :) Solid Korean market, theres really no big competitor (at least not in oakland). Heard theres a place in SF, but in terms of Korean market, this is your go to for the east bay. They have a lot of stuff here, meat, candy, chips, ramen, etc. So wonderful place to fill up on all your korean food needs.

Very well kept market with a very well sized parking lot. The security guards here will somewhat help you find parking. Their prepared food prices have gone up and the portion have gone down. Thankfully the quality is still there. Lots of fruits and vegetables to choose from, youll definitely like this Korean market. Make sure you get your points after every purchase so that you may redeem it for goods at the smaller store in the same parking lot.

Wonderful selection - never before have I found a market with such diverse vegetable stock, always very clean and with a wonderful selection of live (and freshly prepared) seafood in the back. Just about the only thing I couldnt find was white pepper. At every first Friday event, they also set up tents outdoors to prepare their ready-to-go dishes. If you eat meat, their fried chicken is to die for - it honestly broke my months-long vegetarian streak.

If you need some Korean groceries in Oakland, this is your place. They have everything you need, from miso paste to pre-made banchan and great cuts of meat. I love stopping here to pick up banchan when we are doing kbbq at home, as they have a wide selection of side dishes that you might want. They also have japchae and Korean fried chicken on a hot bar too, if you wanted to grab something for a snack. Always clean and pricing is usually very fair.

My paycheck should just start deducting automatically for the kimbap I inevitably buy here on a weekly basis. Here, take my money and trade it for some delicious sesame oild fishcake rice. Excellent camping snack since its basically two solid rolls of carb gloriousness. They sell everything youd need to host your own Korean bbq, and Ive picked up plenty of discounted snacks/fruit here. During Artmurmur, they were even giving out free kimbap.

Good, but not great, selections. Produce and seafood items have improved significantly over the years. Meat selections are now updating and improving, as well. Services are, rather sporadically, helpful and friendly . They offer plenty items on sale and, at times, you can find real great savings. Checkout lines, again, at times, could get long. Overall, great local place to get Korean, and other international, grocery items.

KP Market is a big Korean grocery store with good selection of meat, produce and other groceries. They carry Korean grocery as well as some Japanese grocery. Since Alameda/Oakland area do not have Japanese grocery store (closest being Berkeley), this is my go to place for quick Japanese grocery. Prices on meat is really good, and for yakiniku, shabu shabu or sukiyaki I definitely like going here over other grocery stores.

About the only place around to get Korean groceries on this side of the bay. The store is large enough to sell most of anything you need to cook Korean food, but the parking lot can only accommodate so many cars before you need to drive back at another time. Theres also a housewares store on the other side of the parking lot for a respectable selection of Korean houseware electronics and ceramic/glassware.

I came by while attending my first Friday event couple of years back. Suprise to see a place like carry so much items. Here you can get fish, meat, produce, frozen food, snacks, noodles, and hot food. Lines are fast and snappy depending on the day of time youre there. Lot has security patrolling the lot and directing cars to park in proper spot. You just cant go wring here with so many items to look over.

The price is very competitive, especially for those on sale items. As to Asian goods, it has a wide range of items, and its cheaper than 99 ranch. The meat quality is pretty good too. But I will buy fresh seafood somewhere else. Not everyone speaks fluent English, but the attitude is very good. After 9pm(?), some ready to eat food is 50% off.

I always come here for my Korean needs living in UC Berkeley. This market has basically all you need to make a Korean dish, from short ribs (galbi) to Korean chips. These things are on the pricier side, but good if you can catch them on sale. The 10 lbs Fiji apples for less than $9 seem to always happen, which is great in my opinion.
