Think of this place as a version of Safeway for the East Bays thriving Asian community, and you will have a good idea of the variety, size, and function of this unique, large, store. An endless array of sauces, special agent food preparations, fresh and prepackaged noodles, live and freshly processed Seafood and Meat, and spices Galore comment including a deli that is open all day long, make this place special. NOTE: while the produce section is large, and has a wide variety of products, it is decidedly not an organic produce store, nor a place to look for organic foods. If you love Asian Foods, but insist on organic produce, do your shopping at one of the nearby produce stores, and then get your meat spices and noodles here.

This store is a great place to get your fresh seafood and dinner plates done for you. you pick the fish live and they deep fry it for you. The Chinese food bar is amazing and full of goodies just be carefull because is sold by the pound. The rest of the store is completely full of Asian products and you can find cooking items as well. Prices are in the low range and does have bulk items so can can save some money on your grocery shopping, specially in the rice. The rest of the mall is full of must visit stores and great sit down restaurants but you must like the original Asian food or you may get a surprise on the flavors are very original. The dim sum restaurant is always packed with a waiting line to sit but worth the wait.

Everyone says this supermarket has everything. They dont. They do have a lot of stuff. Fish, live seafood, meats, vegetables, fruits, noodles, frozen foods/snacks, pots/pans/rice cookers, things in almost every category. They even have a section at the far left side of the store with freshly cooked foods like a fast food Chinese joint. The thing about it is, the stuff is a bit more expensive than most other Asian stores, especially the ones in Oakland. It also doesnt carry some of the vegetables I would find in the smaller grocery stores. Id rather go to the farmers markets on weekends. But they are open pretty late, so Ill be going there tonight.

This place is the nearest Asian market near El Cerrito Plaza. The place is often busy for it convenient of getting some dim sum for breakfast or Chinese food for dinner at Pearl Harbor restaurant. Anyways, 99 Ranch has a huge variety of what you need to cook an Asian dish. Sometimes you get long line at the register but they move you out at an acceptable rate. The food are often fresh. I havent had any problem shopping here for over seven years now. What also nice to shop here is you can find Korean restaurant, boba drinks, bakery, Vietnames Pho, and even smoke shop. Come check it out if you need to pick up some decent price grocery!

Ranch 99 does have everything and its so big and a great place to do ALL your shopping or to just stop in for snacks and goodies that cram in your backpack. I like Ranch 99 because its a big step up fro other Asian owned supermarkets and it seems more likely that live food will be better taken care of here than smaller chains and supermarkets. This supermarket is known for being well lit, clean and easy to checkout of. I like that the variety is there and that there are some bargains. Come on in and cook a wonderful meal afterwards!

A bit pricey compared to Seafood markets. The food court offering is also a bit confusing on their pricing. One lady told us to just stuff the box so we did. If you dont know, it is actually more expensive than just going to a Chinese restaurant (minus the tip). This place fries the fish for you after cleaning it but only until 8pm. So if you want to be able to choose the fish you want and have it fried for you, do it earlier than 8pm.

This is the place to shop if youre on a budget. I was surprised one time that what I usually shop for at Safeway I got here for almost half the price. And theres nothing like a swimming fish to show you that the fish is pretty fresh. And ofcourse if you like to cook that Filipino dish you can get all the ingredients here like tripe, tounge, bagoong, ox tail, msg, etc. Mmmm, Im so hungry now!

Terrific place to get groceries with unbeatable prices. Seriously, if you never been to an Asian grocery store, I would recommend a 99 Ranch because the stuff you are getting there is just as good as any Safeway but for insanely cheap prices. In addition, theres a lot of great Asian spices and products that you cant find anywhere else.

good local supermarket, it is a asian fusion market with lots of variety of food to pick from. the prices are a bit higher than other places because it is more oriented and detailed but i would pay because they have free parking and the food looks more fresh and clean compared to going to chinatown!@

Tons of interesting food products to explore here. Large store. The variety can be overwhelming especially if not familiar with asian products. Great seafood, too. Some of the produce doesnt last as long as from other groceries. I explore in small chunks and enjoy the adventure.

Feels like Ive teleported to an authentic Asian market, so many unique and hard to find products, and the cafeteria/dumpling area in the back left offers such deliciousness for great prices. I go here for green tea ice cream, intriguing alcohols, and delicious pork buns.

This is one of those asian markets that you just have to come to for the experience... or if you are being adventurous in the kitchen and need anything more exotic than broccoli... LOL Its fun! I love wandering around and looking at all the different things you can get.

This market is always full up with people but its probably because you can find everything you need for East Asian food and beyond. I dont know how helpful the staff would be to help you find something (Ive never asked). Lots of veggies you wouldnt find elsewhere.

This is a pretty nice Asian grocery store. The prices are good, its very clean, and its got all sorts of stuff. There is a prepared food section that isnt that great, but its cheap and very dense. It can get very busy a peak times, but its not that bad off peak.

Great place! My family goes there to buy Asian foods, spices, and cooking supplies that you cant get anywhere else. Also, there are many small shops and restaurants inside. My personal favorites are the small shops that sell Boba Tea (with tapioca pearls).

One of my favorite Asian grocery stores in the Bay area. Great selection and price. The store is in an indoor mall so there are other things to check out while youre there. The only con is that its far from the city. Otherwise, Id visit more frequently.

I love this place. If your tired of the same ol food from your local grocery store, give 99 Ranch a try, they are sure to spice up a few meals for you. Case of coconuts, check. Fresh, still alive fish, check. That hard to find spice, check. Check em out

This is a fun grocery store with a lot of items that you dont find too often outside of China Town. The selection in just about every department is impressive. I knocked off a star just because it hurts to see the overcrowded live seafood in tanks.
