truly a GREAT staff!!!! thats all I have to say..aside from this ".. In the wake of a 12-year battle to keep Monsantos Genetically Engineered (GE) crops from contaminating the nations 25,000 organic farms and ranches, Americas organic consumers and producers are facing betrayal. A self-appointed cabal of the Organic Elite, spearheaded by Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley, and Stonyfield Farm, has decided its time to surrender to Monsanto. Top executives from these companies have publicly admitted that they no longer oppose the mass commercialization of GE crops, such as Monsantos controversial Roundup Ready alfalfa, and are prepared to sit down and cut a deal for "coexistence" with Monsanto and USDA biotech cheerleader Tom Vilsack. In a cleverly worded, but profoundly misleading email sent to its customers last week , Whole Foods Market, while proclaiming their support for organics and "seed purity, " gave the green light to USDA bureaucrats to approve the "conditional deregulation" of Monsantos genetically engineered, herbicide-resistant alfalfa. Beyond the regulatory euphemism of "conditional deregulation," this means that WFM and their colleagues are willing to go along with the massive planting of a chemical and energy- intensive GE perennial crop, alfalfa; guaranteed to spread its mutant genes and seeds across the nation; guaranteed to contaminate the alfalfa fed to organic animals; guaranteed to lead to massive poisoning of farm workers and destruction of the essential soil food web by the toxic herbicide, Roundup; and guaranteed to produce Roundup-resistant superweeds that will require even more deadly herbicides such as 2,4 D to be sprayed on millions of acres of alfalfa across the U.S......."

Great to have around for quick shopping when you need a few mixed things and are around 24th St. It gives additional choices over local businesses like Drews with the added perspective that you might as well shop in those businesses if they carry what you need. Anyway if I mean serious food shopping at Whole Foods, I usually prefer to go to the one in Potrero Hills. Even though they mostly do a good job at picking what they should carry or not, you wont necessarily find everything you need. I also dont want to consider driving to this one. They try to manage the parking situation but the ins and outs from the parking lot are usually messing up the traffic on 24th.

This store has done its best to run local established quality merchants out of business. Try to photograph a cheese display in Whole Foods and a serious-looking security officer appears to tell you its forbidden. Meanwhile, Whole Foods spies are in the local cheese shops, bakeries, butcher shops, and wine shops with iPads--theyre not even subtle--photographing the displays. Then Whole Foods drops their prices on particular featured items that are popular in those local shops. They siphon their profits to headquarters in Austin, TX. Please, shop local. San Francisco has great local businesses. Please support them!

Usually this place is so busy and not only do the shoppers have white privileged attitudes with unruly children and dogs off leashes, the counter help lacks thoughtful intelligence. One man in the cheese section didnt know from nondairy or even kosher cheese. Shop during the day or late evenings during the week. Weekends are so busy and the 15 items or fewer line snakes through to the back of the store. I refuse to wait on line 15 minutes to purchase one or two items, especially for the outrageously priced items.

Very small store, reasonably priced house brand items run out quickly or can be difficult to locate. Store staff are not always knowledgeable enough to help find desired items and cashiers sometimes cant identify produce to ring it up. Best walk to this store: Parking lot so small that cars line up in street, blocking traffic, and they employ a security guard to keep people from leaving their cars in the lot while shopping in neighboring stores .

Parking is limited, seating area is limited (if you would even call it that). Quite a small Whole Foods, but they have all the things I usually need or want. The 365 label items can be cheaper than stuff youll find at Safeway. Though they have the usual hipster fetishes like kale and cheese-engraved chips. A small bag which feels like it contains two, maybe three, pieces for a lowly $5,99 or something. The hot bar has seriously good food though.

I do so love the staff at this location. The store itself doesnt have that shiny new feeling that other locations do, but they have a well curated selection of staples and produce. It can get very busy on the weekends. The parking lot is very small, so if you have to drive, Id recommend visiting at non-peak hours. As 24th Street has heavy pedestrian traffic, they occasionally stand out by the sidewalk handing out free product samples.

Urgh. Badly laid out. Long lines. Often out of the strangest things (even something as simple as Parsley). The loud hard rock music does nothing to help the poorly run stressful environment. Parking is a nightmare in the parking lot. Sorry to all you parents out there - but its also constantly filled with young parents that let their kids run WILD. Skip this one and head to the location on Market Street (its immensely better).

Pretty typical Whole Foods but parking here can sometimes be tough. They do usually have a parking attendant or two directing traffic but sometimes it is a good 15 minute wait before you can park. This Whole foods is also missing the Sandwich and warm food bar that most of the other Whole Foods have. Eating fresh is good and Whole foods helps make this possible with their excellent selection of fresh produce.

5 stars for convenience to me (walkable from my house in Noe Valley) and 5 stars for the friendly workers. Minus 1 because its just so small that the selection of product is limited. They do well with the space that they have, but things disappear from the shelves quickly if they dont sell enough, which can be frustrating if its something you bought...

exceptionally friendly staff and excellent quality food but of course, you have to pay for it. When I lived here many years ago, the Real Food Company was a landmark health food store, so it is kind of fitting that Noe Valleys only supermarket, which used to be Bell Market, became a Whole Foods.

Empty shelves yet again. My cereal, one of Whole Foods labeled items, still out at this location (but not at others). Lines a mile long. Produce totally picked over. Crowded. Stressful. Must be the weekend at this location. Amazon- please save them from themselves! #supplychainmanagement

Two staff memebers were ranting about how they should be stocking the beer section. How they were better qualified. They also kept talking about how lame it was that they were so busy because people couldnt watch the fight without being drunk. This is your job gentlemen.

This Whole Foods is on the smaller side, but they have just about everything youd expect to find in a Whole Foods. There is a parking lot that holds about 25 cars, but it can get tricky to park during peak hours. Their sandwich bar isnt great, so Id stay away from it.

Maybe we came at an off-peak time, but we had no problem finding parking in this relatively small lot. Lucky timing? This is a fairly small but efficient Whole Foods location. They had everything we needed for a quick stop traveling through San Francisco.

My home supermarket where you have plenty of choices for any occasion at rather high prices (as any other Whole Foods). Roasted chicken, pizzas on the go, pastries, vegetables... all for the modern family. I recommend their salad bar and brownies.
