Okay, I am a grocery store snob. I just moved to Syracuse from California. Why? Not as much snow there. Anywho, I was curious, and checked out this store in order to donate food to a local food bank. I am a strict vegetarian, which means that I would be better off shopping in a Wegmans; not really, Nojaim at least offered vegetarian soups, and brown rice. Where was the tofu? Youre not likely to find it in a Latino supermarket. I wasnt shopping for me, I shopped for those Ive never seen. I wanted to buy the healthiest items I could carry by hand (I walked to the food bank). The service was friendly, and the food was no where near as bad as the food I saw in Mexican grocery stores. It turns out that the food bank already expects one to shop Nojaim. My regular store (for me) is on the Syracuse/Nedrow border.

This supermarket has a very big problem with selective discrimination. White folk are not preferred. The black workers, of which that is most of them are lazy and rude. Saturday I stopped by to get a loaf of bread, five were standing out back at 2 p.m. just talking, another three in the big parking lot and when I went in there was one cashier and ten people in line. Ten minutes later when a few did come in line they did nothing but watch the white folk in line. One time I called Paul Nojaim and complained and he said, go somewhere else. He is just as rude and his workers. Apparently he prefers the blacks, and forgets who he is.

Everytime I go into this grocery store I feel like I need to take a shower. I dont know why but it just always feels dirty in there (prolly cause it IS dirty). That being said, they have items there that you wont find anywhere else in Syracuse. The cashiers have a constant attitude everytime I go in (without fail) and the placement of the food and the organization could be better. But hey no one goes there for the customer service or the experience, its all about the ethnic variety, and no one takes care of that like Nojaims.

this store really needs lessons in customer service, the quality is beyond poor. they have five cash registers and one will be lucky to find two that are running. cashiers have a care less attitude and are more concerned with their cell phones and gossip than checking customers out. i feel that the owners know that the seniors that rely upon the store will put up with the nonsense since a lot of them have no means to get to the other major grocery stores

An okay store.. Im from the Caribbean theyve had a few things there that I cant find in certain stores. Their selves arent messy but unorganized in a sense. I was looking gor a specific hot sauce but all the similar ones were scattered together...Their meat department looks disgusting.. Plain and simply disgusting. The cashiers are just shameful.. Sitting on the counter, talking loudly with their leg kicked up... Ridiculous

I would Never recommend Anyone shopping here!! Seen water leaking from the ceiling., found Numerous packages of meats broken open as well as various other food packages opened all throughout out a store that was in VERY filthy and Unclean condition that should be Condemned by the health department as unsanitary; I was horrified by the conditions and the food products purchased by cousin there!

They have the best selection of Latin foods. They sell meats buy the cases so if you are having a party this is your one stop shopping. The shelves are well stocked. They sell all kinds of meats from the basic to oxtails and Chicken feet. Very good prices. It is handicapped accessible with 2 motorized chairs.

Love you guys. Have been getting my meat freshly cut from here since 2008. Never had an issue beside driving from Liverpool to the west side but hey its worth it. You have all my Spanish spices and herbs. Love love love yall

Food is expensive, instead of replacing old food, they leave out to be sold at top dollar. Sometimes spoiled. Not trying to hurt anyone just speaking from experience.

I love this nojaims. Their subs are by far the best. I can compare them to wegmans subs and when you say extra pickle they give you extra. The crew are mostly good
