I used to love this store until it became overrun with a full time set of ebay dealers. I thought they were homeless or bored volunteers at first but soon learned that these regulars were here always and that they were not just loitering around on couches for the heck of it. Every time the swinging doors would open, theyd all jump up and run to the cart rolling in, pick out anything of value then go look it up on their iphones and discuss potential worth. Dont expect to find any antiques, electronics, or treasures as they have already been sold to this band of vultures. The thing that bothers me most is the apparent connections these buyer/sellers have with the employees there. I dont know if they pay them on the side or what but apparently some of them actually get a preopening phone call to apprise them of the days treasures and first dibs on the best items. I feel like an intruder now when I go in. there - especially if I dare go near the newly arriving carts or furniture. And just try to check out a recliner or sofa that theyre relaxing with coffee on. Talk about uncomfortable. "Could you move your butt so I could see if I want to buy that chair, PLEASE!" Rarely stop in anymore as all thats left is junk. Cant remember the last time I found anything good (besides clothes).

This is a GREAT thrift shop. Many of the items are actually new. The two times I visited the past week after a friend told me about this "find," I had very helpful clerks. One told me that many items come in with the original price tags and any items with stains are not put on the floor. I got some wonderful items in size 3 for my granddaughter. All were priced from $1 to $3 including two wonderful dresses for the Thanksgiving holiday. I also got some young childrens books for 50 cents each. I bought 3 oxford cloth dress shirts for my son. One was $3 and the other two were $5 and I am pretty sure that two of them were new. I did have to look carefully, and although most items were in the correct places, some were not so it was worthwhile to look at other nearby places. There are also some new items behind glass, seconds in underwear for example. The clerk who I asked to open the locked case spoke little but did what I asked. The place is not "stuffed" like other thrift shops are, so it is fairly easy to find items. One thing--the store opens at 10 a.m. and not 8 a.m. as stated on the web.

Went in for the first time today and I know I will be back. From my one trip, Id say its sort of like a "high end thrift store" in that the quality of merchandise seems to be better, on average, than most thrift stores. In the same day, I saw plain, faded Old Navy tees at another store for $4 but saw them here (and in better condition) for $2. An INC blazer here for $8, same brand elsewhere was $12 (with both being comparably in style and good condition). Amongst other things, I picked up a new w/ tags tee from a store I love for $6 (normally $15). Aside from the overall quality being higher with reasonable prices, its also clean and well lit with no "thrift store musk" odor. Id say this is definitely the kind of thrift store I could take my snobby grandmother to that would change her mind about thrift stores being "gross" and "embarrassing" to shop in. And to the guy complaining about Ebayers, have you been to a Value Village on a Monday? The Ebay dealers are at all thrift stores. Get over, get in there with them or pay full price.

My fav local thrift store! Its been around for decades. Best thing is it has actual thrift store prices! Not those jacked up Value Village (and even some Goodwill stores) prices. Its always clean and well organized. Clothing appears to be organized primarily by color, on round racks... which is pleasing to the OCD eye :) I also like that clothes are not crammed together tightly on racks like other thrift stores. Makes finding clothing a lot easier. Its fun to just poke around and see what you might find. Everything from clothes & shoes, to toys, sporting goods, misc household items... most stuff is in decent shape- especially the clothes. My *only* gripe is cashiers are slow as molasses. Hit or miss on the friendliness factor too... but by NO means awful. Check it out. But dont tell anyone else!

Good is good, not bad. I like the good will. Ive been here many times. Its the best place for bargains like value village. Sometimes you can score good on something. Not everyone gives away their stuff because they dont like it. Some people get too big or small for their clothes and give them away and you can get a popular expensive brand for good will price. The store looks a bit like its falling apart but not that bad and I actually dont really care. But I have found a real dead dry mouse in a pair of roller blades but they dont scare me so its still good to me. but Im a bit surprised they never saw it. It was around the top. But it organizes its things

D.I. will always be my first pick. Fyi these are LDS volunteers/employees I doubt they "suck". Have a better outlook. They are definitely not judging you. Talk to a Manager if you feel your not receiving grade A service. Im positive they will assist you. Its part of the mission as we serve those around us. There are always great deals and finds at these locations. God bless and thank you DI.

We love this place. Who knew a thrift store could feel so warm, especially during the holidays. Theres a feeling of home. The employees are the kindest. If only all department stores could be like them. The store is clean, which very uncommon for a thrift store, which actually makes us feel were not in a thrift store. Great prices and professional environment.

Most people go to that big thrift store that starts with a "G". Prices there have really risen the past few years. Deseret is different. Better prices and the proceeds go to a good cause - really helping people. Unlike Big "G", Deseret is a Christian organization who doesnt pay their CEO (if they have one mind you) 1.5.

I was thoroughly amazed, having been a treasure hunter of vintage clothing at all the other major thrift stores. I saw lower prices than anywhere else, many maNy fancy gowns and vintage dresses. Can hardly wait to go back and spend my allowance here!

Very nice staff for the most part. Most of their items are priced well. They have some items that are overpriced. The new items for sale that they have are very expensive as well. Its bigger than it seems from the outside. Give it a try.
