The last standing major food store in the immediate area. That’s why I go there. Staff is cold. Polite but not what you would expect from your neighborhood Jewel. Food selection is pretty good. Prices are “Jewel” prices. Nothing is set up in the meat/fish department until after 10:00 – 10:30 am so before that the pickin’s are pretty slim. Not impressed with the quality of meat. Kind of “chewy” on the better select cuts. I go there unless I have time to travel to Lake Zurich or Volo to shop for food.

As a frequent customer of the Wauconda Jewel Osco store, Ive had continual professional and friendly experiences with the employees regardless of the time of day that I shop there. One gentleman is always so personable who I believe is Tim. Whether working at the register or moving stock and carts around, he always has a smile. People like Tim make it a pleasure to visit the store. Thank you!

When they have sales generally their sale prices are very good. However you have to be very careful when looking at a sale item because often you have to buy it in multiples. And in many cases, the fact that you have to buy it and multiples is in very tiny print below the sale price. So just be careful when you see a sale item look, for the conditions.

I seriously cannot emphasize this enough the ladies who work in the deli by the cheeses hams and the rotisseries need to be fired they are annoying and rude and difficult i ask for one thing and they spin me around everytime it is so aggravating i rather go to lake zurich

Always seems to have stock problems for the same items. We have seen the exact same items out of stock on multiple weeks in a row when we usually shop the same day if the week. Discussions with the managers have not resolved the issue.

Worst Jewel I have encountered in an already bad grocery chain. Multiple times I have scanned items that didnt come up with correct sales pricing. The one night manager that smells of alcohol never seems to care.

Service at this location is subpar. Two out of three times the cashiers will forget to give me my change back. And after the inconvenience of a drawer recount, I never even get an apology. I avoid this location.

Produce is always a hit or miss with quality. Prices are generally a bit on the high side but if you shop for sales you can get good deals. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
