My boyfriend and I are shopping at Aldi to pick up groceries for dinner and then breakfast for the next morning period my boyfriend just got out of an interview, I asked him to pick some stuff up and he forgot so we decided to go to Aldi. We go through our spirit all day he decides to pick up a brochure bag so that we dont have to use the boxes. The deal between him and I was he was going to get the groceries I was going to get the wine period because we enjoy having wine with our cooked dinner. Going to the store it is extremely organized it is very well put together like most all these are. This is not the problem. My boyfriend checks out his section of the groceries first and asks me to go pick up water which is right around the corner from where the checkout lanes are Ive already put down the bottle of wine we put a separator in between the two so that the cashier knew who was getting what period I come back with the bottled water in one hand my phone in the other because sometimes Im special and I dont put my phone down. The cashier rings up my boyfriend and everything is fine. This is where it gets insulting for me. I did not just get out of an interview so I dont look primp and pristine. I am literally wearing my I dont care what I look like clothes. Im wearing Spandex leggings that you go to the gym in, a skirt, a Black Sabbath t-shirt comma and a black cardigan. I threw my hair up into a ponytail exposing my once shaved back of my head but now its all grown out period so Im not the picture of perfect right now. The cashier precedes to tell me after talking about me to her manager that she had to stall me to wait for that she does not feel comfortable selling me the wine. She told me that I was already intoxicated period I feel extremely Disturbed and discriminated against. I did not smell like alcohol and my boyfriend was trying to defend me saying "shes not drunk" I was not trying to make a scene so I just left the bottle there and didnt pay for anything period leaving me feeling like I am not an equal member in my own relationship. I feel extremely hurt because I was just judged really harshly for legitimately no reason. I was not stumbling back and forth through the aisles. I was not rocking back and forth while we were in line I was not half shutting my eyes. I worked at a gas station in Bartlett for about 2 years and I worked the graveyard shift so I saw a lot of drunk people and no where was I acting like any of those drunk people. I feel really insulted. Not to mention who is going to get drunk on a Wednesday night and go to Aldi 7:30 at night. I really want to know what the real problem was with her. I dont want to ever feel like that ever again walking into an Aldi or any store.

I love this store but I hate the rush. Im calling their headquaters because everytime that I go I walk out with a headache. They rush you people rush you long waiting lines, 1 person working Aldi wake up were in 2015 havent heard of self checkouts or stop being greedy and hire and pay someone else always 1 person checkibg out wth!.
