Thanks to a recommendation from a friend, my entire household now shops at Grocery Clearance Center. I was surprised at the variety of name brand and organic products, many of which seem to come straight off the shelves at other high-end grocery stores. The shelves are packed with food and household supplies of all kinds. They have a great refridgerated section with fruit, cheese, meat, and fish at unbeatable prices. This place offers some slightly damaged inventory (like dented cans) which does not affect the flavor but reflects a much nicer pricetag! I highly recommend this store if you are on a tight budget/fixed income, have a lot of mouths to feed, or if you just dont feel like driving all the way to North Dallas for your organic quinoa fix.

Fresh fruit and vegetable overstock; fresh dairy overstock-- good brands: lots of health food products -- fresh juices & smoothies, Terra chips, Sprouts overstock. Always new items. On top of it all, the people who run the place are efficient, helpful, and friendly, always making customers feel welcome and valued. On top of all this is a shopper apprecaition card, stamped for each purchase over $20 to accumulate stamps for a bonus. Cant go wrong here. I love to browse the "weird foods:" imported and organics, to try things I may not have tried before. I tried canned chestunuts, and they were delicious -- a fancy side in place of potatoes. Cans have instructions/ideas. Uncommon food here; common enough in Europe to be canned for table use.

Although its my first time and I was a little hesitant, I found a lot of things close to, or past, the expiration date where I didnt see that it made a difference to me but it made a huge difference in price. Things like salt, cleaning products, detergent.... I had no problem buying these. And then there were things past the expiration date that were questionable, but thats why everything is discounted right? Some things that were within a week or days of the "best used by" date (which half the time I think is a money making ploy anyway) I bought at huge discounts because I knew Id use them before or soon after the expiration date. Have to say....was hesitant, but will be back for certain items.

Decent sized grocery store. Most items are 20-30% cheaper than Walmart. Produce is super cheap. Keep an eye on expiration dates. Some items (diapers, canned food, fruit snacks) are the same price or higher than Walmart. The owner Gary is very nice & helpful, and hes constantly updating Facebook & the website with deals of the week. Overall there are some great deals to be found. This is a place that I would stop at 1st before my usual stores on grocery shopping trips. ***June 2017: not as cheap as it used to be. No more discount for buying things by-the-case. I used to be able to fill my cart with great deals, today I only purchased about 10 items

This place is simply amazing! 2x Frozen Whole Organic Chickens for $3.00!? Bolthouse Smoothies for half price, All the preserves you need. Organic Milk $1.50 for a half gallon. TONS of ORGANIC and GF foods. Expiry dates and best before dates and sell by dates: meaningless. We brought home yogurt that was a week past expiry and it tastes GREAT! Staff are friendly, prices are AMAZING and quality of produce is honestly better than i see in some major chains. This place is an ABSOLUTE must visit. They get fresh truck loads daily, plus you get a $10 off card for every 10th Visit. 5 Stars.

The area may seem sketchy, but this is a gem! You never know what you will find! I have found tons of great deals and I stock up when I go, because you never know if what is there today will be there tomorrow. The owners are friendly and will greet anyone new they see. The cashier recognized me just after a few visits. Most of the products are expired, but they come with a guarantee that if the product is bad you can return it. They accept cash/creditcard and have a frequent buyer card. Just check it out once and you will be hooked! They also have a variety of gluten free products for cheap!

And it wouldnt hurt if they did a few repairs to the parking lot & Im nit a timid or scary person so I did not find anything sketchy about the area.I feel this store is more suited for people who eat mainly organic & gluten free products otherwise it is not worth it especially when I talked to people who drove from Weatherford to get a good deal just to find out its not all its proclaimed to be. I did not see .88 boxes of cereal or anything else suggested from this site. So again unless you are a person with gluten allergies or only eat organic great otherwise not so much!

I started going to Grocery Clearance Center about 4 years ago driving from Cedar Hill (about 10 miles away) even though Cedar Hill has many grocery options. Its worth the drive. There arent many places like this around. This place is a diamond in the rough. I have been telling people about this store for years. I am glad it seems to be getting more popular because that means theyll stay in business. If you can get past the humble neighborhood and store appearance, you can make your fiends think you shopped at whole foods all while spending less than walmart.

This place is incredible. I cant believe how much I just purchased with $30. Definitely 1/2 off retail or more. Its a treasure hunt/archeological dig but totally worth it. Yes, you will see expired products. Yes, there are piles and piles of things stacked helter-skelter. But what you will find is the stuff you pay $5 for in whole foods for $1.29. Not expired and in great condition. Its not for everyone, but I love it. For Oak Cliff locals, the best way to describe it is the Cox Farm clearance corner on steroids.

If your trying to save money I would definitely check it out. However, carefully inspect your items when you get home. Ive found interior packaging open and bugs coming out of the the food. For example, I bought some fiberone bars and the exterior box was taped closed. When I got home and opened it, there was also small holes on the individual wrappers and fruit flies where coming out. On the other hand I got awesomely priced Godiva chocolates that where perfectly fine. So just be careful.

This place is alright. I am definitely not a snob when it comes to shopping at discount stores but this one you really have to know your prices beforehand. They do have a lot of great gluten-free products that are marked down a ton but then, they have there other products that they try to increase the price by a few cents. For example, Walmart has one for 1.89 and they sell it for 1.99.

I give it 5 stars because the prices are that good!! Also great prices on fresh produce!! Heres a couple of examples... a bag of organic peaches $2 (7 in the bag) and a bag of avocados for $2 (8 in the bag) . They also have frozen food i.e. TV dinners also meat chicken, pork, beef. Some of their goods are past the use by date. However everything I got is not past the use by date.
