Very Unprofessional. I come in to buy snacks for my sons basketball team. I get a package of HI-C juice boxes and a box of individually wrapped goldfish. First of all, I had to ask 3 different people for help on where to find the individually wrapped goldfish. The first lady tells me, "sorry I have not been here long, I dont know" and walks off. The second person goes to find a manager and brings the manager back and he does not know where they are either. He is drinking coffee and eating. As I look around there are cashiers eating crackers out of a big box at the registers while checking people out and talking with food in their mouths. I go to the self check out lane where I check out with my loyalty ID (I have been buying groceries at Kroger once a week for about 5 or so years, although I normally go to the one on Old Denton Rd.) It asks me if I would like to purchase bags and has a picture of a paper bag. I think to myself why would I buy a paper bag when the plastic ones have always been free (I did not know that they now charge 5 cents a bag now) and I continue checking out and put my 2 things in one bag and start to walk out, when an employee chases me to the door and says "maam you cant have that bag because you did not pay for it". I looked at her like what are you talking about I have never stolen anything in my life! And she said that I chose not to purchase the bag at the self checkout and therefor I have to put the bag back. I explained to her that I thought it was asking if I wanted to purchase a paper bag... and that I did not know they charge for bags now and she just looks at me and asked for the ONE bag back, so I take my purchased items out and put the bag back. After all of my hard earned money spent at Kroger.. I cant honestly say I probably will never be back.

Today at around 5 pm, May 16,2017, I shopped here. I typically go to another location closer to where I live. I bought a few things and checked out, loaded my groceries in to my car and left. Didnt even think much, long day at the office. I was 2 miles down the road and suddenly realized I didnt have my phone. My mind went in panic mode! I left it in my basket. Turned around quickly and raced back to Kroger. Might have pissed some folks off too. Exactly when I pulled up I saw one of the parking lot/ basket attendants getting the baskets straight. I quickly got out of my car and asked the young man if he had seen a cell phone. Tony smiled and said"yes!" and gave it right to me. "I didnt want anyone to take it." I thanked him and thanked him and thanked him. He did the right thing. Because that phone, although bought for business and provides me a living, now has a totally different function. So much more than money! I am a heart patient at 44 yrs , which Im not one to provide all my health issues on FB or any other social media. My phone has all the medical staff connected to it. I input my BP, pulse and weight , etc, everyday. If theres an issue, like earlier this morning, my nurse immediately calls me. As well, a defib. vest I wear that will save my life, my phone will be able to let anyone know if I have troubles. This young man did the right thing!!! Thank you Tony!! Im very grateful to you!!! This simple act of doing the right thing needs to be spread and communicated all over. I spoke to Ken, the manager on duty about Tony. He said that they were talking about him the other day how he was such a hard worker. They have my business for life!!!!

This Krogers deserves LESS than one star. I have brought my registered ESA (emotional service animal) here about 15 times, and today a woman at the self checkout told me I couldnt bring him in anymore because a woman complained about me bringing him in. I told her he is a registered service animal, and she told me there is a sign that says no dogs are allowed in the store and that I couldnt bring him back. I asked the employee, and the manager to show me a sign and no one could point it out to me. Not even the manager whos excuse was "Look Ive only been here for a week". So the MANAGER didnt even know the store policy. How nice. I live down the street from this Krogers, and have gone there almost every week with my dog since I moved here mid June. I hope your employees getting a better understanding of the law and have a little more compassion. I was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety and the only reason Im alive is because of my dog Ace boogie who is a dachshund and weighs all of 10 pounds, doesnt bark at all, and is housebroken. I walled out of the Krogers extremely upset and all the employees could do was stare at me. Ive never had a bad experience before today, and I sincerely hope that this doesnt happen to anyone else with a service animal who refuses to leave their dog in a hot car as well.

I have been coming here for two years. I get off at midnight and this is the only grocery store near me still open that late. I say open, no point in going because they turn off half the lights that late. I got there at 12:15 tonight and ran quickly to grab sandwich stuff for my kids and checkout. I get home and notice (this happens with produce, bread, anything you would like to see and hand pick out if it wasnt so dark in there) my cheese is nasty melted sticking together and greasy. Really sucks, I not feeding my kids this tomorrow! Now I have to make another trip in the morning. Sucks more because I like getting my fuel points here and I like shopping here for the prices. Whats the point of staying open late if you turn the lights off? I cant even trust quality, nope. Ill start going to the new location on Park and Preston now because this is the last time I regret going here.

I use to work for Kroger, so I personally know this is a good company. But... the location on Frankfort and Midway has horrible customer service, from the gas attendant and a few of the employees on the inside. They do not smile, are very standoffish and act like they are doing you a favor by being there. The lady who is there at 6 am when they open, who is over the self check out is very rude, and if she sees youre having a problem, shell wait until you call her over instead of assisting from the beginning. She told me the other day, You punched in wrong code in a very rude tone. I almost left my things and walked out. Next the little guy in the gas station outside is the same way. I work in the area and only stop here because there are no other grocery stores in the area. Guess, Ill have to start leaving earlier in the morning to go out of my route to go to Walmart.
