My experience last year with the floral department for wedding flowers was disorganized. I had several phone calls and one meeting explaining I wanted loose flowers, not floral arrangements. A few months before the wedding, I received a bill hundreds of dollars more than anticipated because they billed me for loose flowers and the floral arrangements they thought I wanted (Id said several times I did not want them to make bouquets). A few days before my wedding, I met with them again to make sure things were correct. The main flower I wanted had arrived and they were already wilting and turning grey. I was told it wasnt possible to order more and had to substitute other flowers. When planning a wedding, Id suggest going somewhere else. Its already stressful enough, dont add to it with their mistakes.

Way too expensive. Vitamin waters are 94 cents at Walmart, target, etc but are 1.50$ at hyvee etc... Also they have higher prices on the same items at the assbury one over the locust one since its a richer area so they take advantage of that. Only trophy wifes in 50$ yoga pants and giant denalis can afford to shop there. Regular people can not afford hyvee.

OK you can buy food here and take it home. Bakery has great variety as do all the other departments. This is the Dubuque store for Chinese, they are the best. Watch for specials. And speaking of specials on Tuesday you can get a pork tenderloin bigger than not just the bun but almost the plate. Other prepared food too but these are my favorites.

I had a dear friend from DBQ have a family member pass away unexpectedly. I called to have food sent over. Miss Eliza from the deli was amazing. She had great recommendations of quantities of meat, cheeses, breads, chips, sides, etc. She was so kind and so helpful. It was a great experience and is one of the many reasons we love Hy-Vee!

Hy-Vee stores operate at an entirely different level than most grocery chains. Their customer service as excellent. They have very knowledgeable staff operating each specialized department and the best part is their unrelenting push to grow and improve. Ive been very satisfied with their brand and am a huge fan of the chain.

Baristas at the Hy Vee Starbucks could not be nicer. The store is very clean, and there is friendly help throughout the store. That is the nature of Hy Vee. They dont dissappoint. You may pay an incremental amount more than WalMart but then again that means you dont have to go to WalMart.

Hy-Vee is a great place to find anything you need fresh grocery wise. The service is great, you cant stand at a meat counter for 3 seconds before everyone asks if they can help you. Managers expedite checkout to make sure nobody waits.

When I heard Product 19 cereal was discontinued by Kelloggs, I was able to stock up on the rarely found cereal here! That spoke volumes to me about selection. Parking is also better than the Hyvee over on Locust Street.

Compare your receipt to the shelf prices. Every 2 or 3 visits there are discrepancies. This is not limited to this specific store. The managers are not always willing to fix the blatant discrepancies.

Nice store. Normally very clean. I think they start their inventory stocking at around 8pm ; it seems like theres always boxes blocking shelves. But usually they are pretty good about moving them.

Called for a small cake quick for a work bithday... gave then 20 minutes to just write a name on it. Got there to pick it up and it was so much more. Pretty and perfect and super moist and delish!!

This used to be my go to store, employee morale seems low. people used to be so happy to help, they seemed happy to be at work. ever since they switched managers the employees seem less motivated.
