Today I went in to Albertsons and visited the deli. I saw some meatloaf sitting in the heater along with rotisserie chicken and ribs and thought Id get some, but there was no price tag on it. I asked the clerk behind the counter what the price was and he didnt know so he asked the department manager and she said "Theres a barcode on the bottom of it." Now I dont know about you, but when I was born God didnt equip me with a barcode reader in my eyes. I couldnt grasp the ignorance I just heard so I looked at the clerk behind the counter in stunned disbelief. I then decided to break things down to her in a simpler way that her simple mind could grasp. I told her..."This is a grocery store, you guys sell food products and in order for us customers to be able to tell what the prices of those food products are there needs to be price tags on those items." There is no price tag on the meatloaf so I dont know what the price is and neither will the next customer (because I decided not to buy it). She said "Oh, I get it now." I dont know where Albertsons finds these people, but Im telling you, Im in school now studying finance and believe you me my goal is to put together a team of investors to buy all the property in my neighborhood just so I can cancel leases and get these lazy, useless people out of my neighborhood. Then I will lease that property to Callandros at a discount just so I can get some good service. And please, dont claim racism here, you have no case because Im Black. Im a lazy mans greatest nightmare.

The review below this one is ridiculous. I have been shopping at this Albertsons for three and a half years, at all times of day and occasionally at night and I have never felt unsafe in the store or parking lot. The staff is amazing; the cashiers are quick and intelligent, the butchers are friendly and helpful, and the produce people are also very nice. I think the person who wrote that last review is probably racist and just afraid of people who arent white. This is a very nice Albertsons with a great array of foods. The bakery is good and the beer and wine selection is good.

I live in the midcity / capital heights area and this is definitely one of my favorite grocery stores. I prefer it to Callandros any day (which is actually much closer to me). Prices and selection are great, and they carry more produce variety than trader joes (my other favorite grocery store). They have a good selection of beer and wine, too. Im not even sure its worth responding to the review claiming they felt unsafe, because I have no idea how that could be the case. I am a female and almost always shop here alone. The staff are incredibly helpful and nice.

Everytime i go into this Albertsons I have to bring things back and i dont have time to do that. Meat is spoiled, ice cream has been melted and frozen back,mold on sweet potato pies and a strawberry cake that was hard and old with mold. Albertsons prices are too high for the quality of the things that i buy from there. Money is wasted and time. And its always the Albertsons on government st. Very bad.

This is a nice store where they remember you and treat you like a neighbor. I like that since I am from the old school. There is a lot to be said about personality in the sevice that you recieve from the store clerks. They are freindly here and that makes it easy to come back time and again.

I grew up in the midcity area, and this has to be the most unsafe grocery to go to. I have been followed before and have heard of numerous armed robberies that occur in the parking lot during the day. There are always people loitering in the parking lot. No woman should shop alone.

Service always bounces back. Have lived here ten years and always walk to the store and have never had an issue. Even though its a chain the bakery, deli, and meat are good. Selection is always great.

The meat cutting area in the deli was not clean, didnt look sanitary. The associate didnt know much about the meats offered just incase I wanted to try something new. The rest of the store seemed fine.

Poor Service! Ordered sons bday cake an albertsons never made it. Made me go gome to pull up a receipt when the situation couldve been resolved while being in store! WHAT AN INCONVENIENCE!!!
