A lot of people dont know about the supermarket in Baton Rouge going with the bigger chains. Hi Nabor has a really great values, almost as much selection as other stores comparable to even Walmart but more focused on the bargains. I think its one of the few places that regularly has processed alligator at a good price as well as other local fish. I would also say that the produce and bakery sections are decent. There could be a larger section to avoid having to go to a CVS or Walgreens for toiletries. I wish the fish section was even larger although Ive been very impressed with the pork and beef selections. If you want to save money food shopping this is a store that you definitely want to check out in Baton Rouge.

Not to good to the people that have kept them in business for years. Do not care about the community they service. The manager has been there for over 25 years and seem to hate black people. However the ground chuck is the best. Be careful buying their fruits they are often rotten inside and management wont make it good, you just lost your money and they are very expensive. I prefer the Hi Nabor on Florida Blvd and Marilyn Drive. It is much friendlier and management seems to care about their customers. Oh yea there has never been a black manager at a Hi Nabor"s has there???

Nice supermarket. Good selection of grocery, great deli (real food not heated up from a bag). Not the best meat selection but they have what the market demands and the selection they have is great quality. Good friendly people and owners who support the community. When they were cleaning up the store after the flood they invited people from the neighborhood in to have some of the lunches they brought for the clean up crew.

My mother loves to shop here for mustard or collard greens. The best in town. I have never experienced a negative moment in the Winbourne store. I can always get help if needed. If the produce looks old they have never failed to provide fresher produce if I make the request. I do not know much about the manager...but I plan to inquire. The neighborhood is no dangerous than any other.

Love Hinabors meat,deli,and prices, especially from their weekly ads. I dont know where you can go to get fresher meats at their prices. I have had managers talking in the asle and not even acknowledge you, but all the rest of the staff is friendly and helpful.

Always good coming to this Hi Nabor location, however too many customers are using the express lane that are for customers with 10 items are less. I had 5 items and the customer in front of me had 23. Not an isolated case.

Omg.... I walked in an it felt like I went backwards in time. Its the oldest most out of date grocery store Ive EVER been in. Staff was rude, all they did was stare, didnt greet us are even attempt to assist us.

I really enjoyed the shopping, best meat prices, and sweet watermelons. There was a hole in parking lot full of water. Bag boy nearly hurt himself. Over all good shopping, friendly.
