Silver medalist for best Kroger in Conway. Unfortunately for this Kroger there are only two Krogers Conway. The employees are with few exceptions bottom of the barrel. The people there are amongst the least professional Ive ever seen anywhere. Standard practices include smoking by the entryways on furniture which is for sale. If you desperately want to be addicted to cigarettes then just head to the frozen section. Touch a bag of any frozen item and you will immediately have the sudden urge to get a pack of menthols due to an instant nicotine contact high. Employees range from decrepit senior citizens who are running late for their coffin fitting, white trash that can literally work nowhere else, meth heads (yes actual meth heads), the mentally disabled, and high school kids who literally do not care. Whats more everyone there is unionized so they cant be fired no matter what. There is literally a slum directly behind it, and it is located in the only place in town you might actually get robbed in broad daylight. No worries though the police are never that far away. The layout of the store makes zero sense. The toxic chemicals pet food and coffee are all located next to each other. Full disclosure I worked at this particular location from 2008 to 2010 before leaving for military service and college. I left on good terms, but I went back in a few weeks ago on the way to a family party for some last minute party supplies and saw that literally nothing had changed in the 5 years i had been gone. If anything it has gotten objectively worse. Go to the Kroger on Salem. Or the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market on Prince. Or the Harps on East German. Hell even the Price Cutter on 365/Harkrider. Or one of the two Wal-Mart Super Centers. Anywhere else. Youll thank me.

Usually my experience at Kroger is good. This time however was less than good. While I admit I should not have left all my extended forms of ID on my desk a $13.37 check could have easily been approved or at least let me call and get the id number for them so they could put in their system. I feel bad for the gentleman behind me who had to unnecessarily wait for this ordeal to unfold and the cashier that was polite. The sad thing is I spend 100s of dollars there weekly only to treated like a common criminal. I know I mere one person but this one person will now go to the Walmart on Prince street. Conway really needs an alternative for grocery shopping.

I have seen Oak Street Kroger go through the transition, week by week, since the fall. I have been impressed with how well the staff has handled not only their personal crazy work situation, but how they have obviously made the customer their priority and have made the transition easy for us as well. Someone has always been right there assisting me when Im not sure to where something has been moved. Over the holidays, I decided to stay away from Wal Mart and endure the loud noises and concrete floor in exchange for some really swell folks and great prices. Props to you guys at Oak Street Kroger!

Many people in the area refer to this store as the "ghetto Kroger," a reference in part to its location in the older part of town but also to distinguish it from its newer, sleek, and much larger sister store on the west side of town. This store is less tidy, more crammed together, and offers considerably less variety of products than the other store. If you cant find what you need here just head west to the more modern and well stocked store across town.

we love the store, everything is fresh, and we have never encountered rudeness, but on this day we did at self checkout.saturday the 24th, an African American lady was standing at the self checkout, and we always talk with the person there, she never smiled or even acknowledged that we were speaking to her.when we needed her help she seemed very irritated. we will avoid her from now on.

so ,we were there at 9:15pm Monday 11/15/2016 and we have the problem with the check out machine , were asking a lady who works there for help ,but she was lazy .She didnt come over for help ,just standing away and used her fingers to pointing .Also, her voice didnt sound like happy to help the customers . We never seen any worker like this at any other market place..

I order my sons birthday cake 2wks before the day. Called to see if it was done the baker said she forgot about it and said it will be done by the evening. Came back the evening and not only the cake wasnt done the aide lady was laughing about it. I went and found the store manager and he said he Will take care of it. Ive been waiting on that call since 2/25/15"

Apparently, Kroger pharmacies are not interconnected. I called to get a prescription filled and she said she could download me, but then when she found out that this was a pain prescription for post surgery, she declined to fill it and said I had to go to my regular Kroger. I guess if I didnt have a regular pharmacy, or if I was out of town, Id be out of luck.

I like their sales. It makes their prices better than Wal Mart prices. Produce is always the best next to farmers markets. They carry organic pork, beef and chicken, and great gluten free and non dairy options. Also some vegan. Make sure you review your experience in the supermarket and give suggestions. I have found that mine are read and acted upon.

This store is undergoing a complete remodel. It should have been closed until completed. It is total disarray. I can appreciate keeping employees working, and serving customers, but my shopping experience was just too chaotic. I have to credit employees for maintaining a great attitude.

Sometimes they are out of everything. Small supplies of product to maximize shelf space, but they dont restock very promptly. The seafood area in the back of the store smells horrible all the time. The sushi is cheaply made and overpriced. The parking lot is a death trap.

As Kroger Stores go, this particular location is sub-standard. The current manager is arrogant and unhelpful in a feigned-polite and patronizing way. I shop at various Kroger Stores in Central Arkansas and this one is the worst of the lot in my opinion.

This is the "older" Kroger location in town but more recently remodeled (2010). The prices USED to be better here on some items but there seems to be less difference nowadays. To get better prices on many (but not all) items, try Price Cutter or Harps.

Kroger is the biggest chain grocery in the country, although Walmart is a bigger operation with groceries just part. Kroger is well-managed generally and much better than Walmart for service and selection. I wish they had one where I live!

I prefer Kroger over Walmart. That being said if you have the time to visit the Kroger on Salem, I would visit that one instead. Its in a better part of town. I havent been harassed for money there, and the selection is better.

Delicious Fresh Cooked Halal Mediterranean & Greek foods. You gotta try the Calazones & Pizzas. They do have Vegan foods on the menu. The Humus and Babagazoose are made fresh and are AWESOME. Nice portions.Good prices.
