We arrived at Hy-Vee around 6:30 in the morning and used their Coinstar machine to get rid of some extra change we had lying around. We received our ticket from the machine for $8.04 and walked over to a nice cashier lady that tried cashing it out for us. After speaking with the store manager she tells us that she cannot cash it and we must wait until "someone shows up" to open the customer service desk. We politely waited as we must cash that voucher at that particular store. As we waited in the Starbucks area one of the women that works at Starbucks tried cashing it out, as well. She could not. During this process we could see the store manager and the original cashier obviously staring at us and whispering. As we waited still, the store manager kept staring making us very uncomfortable to say the least. As someone who has worked in retail my entire life, it would have been very easy for the cashier to simply give us the $8.04 we were owed from Coinstar and then to take $8.04 from the customer service register so that everyone was even and so that we could be on our way to work but instead we were forced to be nearly late due to the poor and uncomfortable customer service we were given. I havent decided if I will shop there again.

These people deserve a 5 star (not for their prices! Ha.) but for the Chinese food people!! I love Jen K & Jesse. Good peeps, I enjoy going in there. Rest of the store, fantastic attitudes and a helpful aisle smile in every aisle. (hmmm....I think I got something there for the marketing peeps) Go Chinese Food people, go!!! Peace out.

Always friendly and professional staff. Clean, very large store, with lots of options. There is a deli that serves deli stuff, pizza and Chinese food. Also, a Starbucks! Bonus! Great beer and liquor selection, and everything else you could use. I love the Market Grill dining area too!

This is a reasonably tidy and well ordered store providing lots of grocery items including some prepared foods which includes a salad bar. The produce department is top notch. A Starbucks is conveniently located inside the store. This is one of Hy-Vees better stores.

Excellent customer from a staff that truly cares and gives back to the Muscatine Community. Highly recommend their Sunday brunch buffet complete with prime rib and of course, bacon! Wine & Spirits has a huge collection of craft beer worth your time.

Well maintained, clean, and stocked. The staff is always friendly and go above and beyond for there customers. There selection of food is amazing and the cheese selection they have is not like other Hy-Vees that I been too.
