Buyers Beware. Deceptive business practices. Watch out for broken floor models being sold at full price. We actually did ask if they could, and we were told it was $100 off on one of the items and we said never mind, we will just take a new one and pay 100 dollars more. (We knew the floor model was broken and asked for a new one...and then we received the broken floor model that we saw in the store and paid full price) Also, beware of scratches and dings on the item you get when delivered. Went through 4 tables and finally got it with no scratches on the 5th one. The delivery guys were nice, but they did not know it was scratched until it was unwrapped. Also, beware of return policy (we went through this with our BROKEN floor model couch). The charge a 10% fee to return items. They charge the fee if they come pick it up (no issue there) but we returned it ourselves and they still tried to get the 10% fee. The only thing positive about our experience was the mattress we bought. We had no issues with it and the sales guy was nice. But after our experience with the couch, chair, ottoman, table, and their deceptiveness about floor models and new items.....we will shop somewhere else from now on.
In December I purchased an entire dining room set from BF Myers. My sales person was helpful, but once the furniture arrived all customer service disappeared. The furniture was damaged when delivered, the mirror was deglazing in the china cabinet, doors werent level, there were areas that werent stained and staples sticking out and just generally very poor quality. Many phone calls and 4 months later trying to rectify the situation I still have damaged furniture and have been treated like I am a problem to them. I have asked several times to have someone of some decision making power call me and that never happens. Today a scheduler called to tell me that they had a new piece in for me. I asked to see it at the warehouse before they delivered it and again was treated as if I was just a real inconvenience. BF Myers spends a lot of money advertising to get you in the door, but their customer service is terrible. The wrong people are on the phones and there is a definite desire to keep anyone of management far away from the customers. Now I just want them to pick it all up and be done with the disaster and suddenly they are burning up my phone. Way too little.... too late.
After purchasing multiple piece and having a sagging mattress I called BF Myers. I was told that since there is a stain, the mattress warranty was voided. The stains were normal sweat stains nothing was ever spilled or leaked onto the mattress. Also, the spot that was sagging has no stains on it. VERY poor customer service and I will not buy from BF Myers again. FYI, I went to Sleep Outfitters and spent $8000 on a new bed. I will be contacting Jamison about the product and seeing if they will attempt to resolve the issue. If I were BF Myers, I would do some customer service training and try to retain customers. They have lost a loyal customer and will not receive another dime from us. I also purchased a couch that the mechanism broke on. I have been trying to get it fixed for over 6 months. I was told that the parts are on order, but I have to pay the labor. 2 issues, problems with what they sell. Disgruntled and Disappointed
I purchased a couch on March 1st and needed the delivery to be on May 7th. I was told it would be completed and at their location by Mid-April. When I called in Mid-April to check on it, it was not in and was told I would receive a call back with an ETA. I never received a call back. So a week later I called again and was told the same thing. Again never received a call back. I called again another week later and I am again told it is not in and I will receive a call back. Yeah right! I finally called twice today since I wanted to know what was going on and I found out that the fabric I ordered that was in stock at the time of purchase was out of stock and no one bothered to call and let me know. And now I may not get my order on time. Very displeased with the lack of communication and the disrespect of not calling back. I will never purchase from here again.
We bought a dining set at BF Meyers, and found their service to be exceptional. The dining table was a very unique look (60" round table expandable with leaves to 80"), and we were please to find that they had what we were looking for. Not many places had something even close. After we purchased it, we found a few imperfections in the table top, and they replaced it no questions asked. A few months later, we found that a couple of the chairs had been assembled improperly prior to delivery, and one had actually broken as a result. We called and again they sent someone out immediately, and repaired to our satisfaction. Great service, no hassle, pricing was reasonable, and the table is over all of very high quality - just had some bumps along the way, that were resolved professionally and quickly.
My wife and I have purchased furniture from B. F. Myers for years but our recent experience went way above expectation. We have a new home and purchased a sectional for the upstairs family room. The sofa came in on a Friday and I called to see if there was any way to deliver it the next day because we had company coming. The deliveries were already scheduled so the owner delivered the sofa himself. The upstairs design made getting the sofa in the room very difficult but the guys did not give up and eventually got the sofa in the room. Seldom have I seen this kind of customer commitment. We are pleased to support a family owned business and look forward to shopping there again soon. If you are in the market for furniture go in and ask for Donna. Shes the best.
My husband and I just purchased a bedroom set last weekend. The initial sales person was not helpful at all. I showed him an ad I saw online for a bed at $799 and he advised that it was not correct and kind of hauled butt. I believe he did not think we were going to buy anything and so he left us standing there. Too bad for him we ended up spending over $3,000. It took me about 10 minutes to find another sales person. Once we did, the guy was awesome. I dont believe they work on commission, not sure but it was a weird experience. The furniture quality seems good but I will let you know once we have it delivered.
People you trust in any business are becoming harder and harder to find. Whether its in the main store, the outlet or the delivery folks, my wife and I trust them and know they will stand behind what they sell. We have more than a dozen items in our house that came from BF Myers and we recently purchased a bigger home and will need more. There is no other furniture store around that comes close. I have never seen one of their staff seem like they are in a bad mood or do not enjoy what they do. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. One of my favorite stores and I am not a shopper by nature.
