Ever since I moved to st. johns I have gone to shur-way to get all the lumber and building supplies for my various house projects. They always seem to have everything I could ever need. But what is best about this place is that will actually help you learn how to build things, and what you need for it, if you have no experience. One employee, Phil, is so awesome. He basically showed me how I needed to play my new deck out and helped me figure out everything I needed for it. They always remember your name when you go in too. Its also a local business. So along with them and ACE hardware, I will never need to go to home depot or lowes again! yahooo!

Grandpa took me to lumber yards when I was child. A trip here brings me smiles thinking of carefree days hanging with gramps. What takes me back is how Shur-way smells of fresh & seasoned wood with their saw dust lingering on the lot. Lots of home project items can be had here. Many essentials for maintaining your house. Nice folk to help you. Friendly they are. Efficient is their method. Competitive prices. Counter on the right when you walk in. Someone will be right with you. If they have what you need youll know quickly. Recommend this local shop that tries to fill your home project needs. Shed kits available here. Ask about delivery.

After a recommendation to go here from our contractor, we were pleasantly surprised at the level of professionalism, accuracy, and helpfulness of everyone we came in contact with. They were nice enough to make more cuts than they should have on the 15 sheets of plywood. On the second trip back, we had them wrap 10 sticks of 16 moulding in the back of the truck and they were so expedient. Best of all, call me old fashioned, but I love that every worker addresses you as Sir. It is a little thing that goes a long way. Well done Shur-way, Vancouver! You have earned my business for life!
