Not sure if my expectations were unreasonable or not. I went in looking to buy a couple of used solid core doors to make workbenches with. After perusing what may have been hundreds of doors, I found a couple that were in okay condition that would fit my needs. Based on the prices of the majority of the doors I had found, I was expecting somewhere in the neighborhood of $15-30 each. So I went and asked the lady how much they wanted for them. Boy was I wrong. $60 bucks a piece. You can go buy a new, unbored slab (or a bored one, if that is what you want) for less than $50 at any major home center. Needless to say, I left empty-handed. I like the idea of what they do, but I cant and wont pay a premium for an inferior (used) product.

Some limited cool stuff but anything interesting is priced VERY optimistically. Salvaged lumber is around $1 a board foot less than new... or $1 more. Either way its no bargain. Some interesting cabinets and doors but the cool factor of finding a something cool and old to refinish dies when its priced close to new. Theres also an obvious misunderstanding about vintage/antique vs old and broken (Hint: one is worth more than new, one less!). Its a neat idea for a business but I dont know if I can take it seriously as a source for salvaged materials...

Incredible... My girlfriend and I discovered this place when she was looking for table legs for a project she is working on. We quickly discovered the places that will be getting much of our money. The staff was excellent and extremely friendly; very informative and helpful with creative suggestions. The wood!!! Holy crap!!! They mill their own wood here. Were freaking out about all the projects were gonna be able to do now!

Great place to find typical and atypical building materials at a decent price. PLUS random cool stuff like theater seats or a dragon head faucet. Whats not to like?

Some vintage things, retro things, & used items for home/ rental repair. Great to find things for old houses to keep them looking in that era or historical.
