HEB has always been my go to spot for groceries. The customer service is always phenomenal for the most part.. unfortunately my last couple visits I was appalled to hear a cashier ( Laura J.) talk about a customer to other customers after they had left her line. "She talks to much" and "I told him three times that wouldnt work" or "sometimes when you see someone you just cant help but roll your eyes" are just a few things I have overheard her say about customers after they had walked away. This is customer service at its worst and Laura J. you should be ashamed of yourself. I truly hope this matter is corrected immediately.

A great place to stop and shop for food and other edibles before crossing the causeway. Its a lot cheaper than the island, and the selection is really not all that bad for the size. I wouldnt recommend going midday as it tends to get packed, but there is usually a good amount of registers open, making it easier to check out. The place needs some renovations though. It looks and smells a little old, but I mean its been here forever. 4 stars mang!

My wife and I are vegetarians for the most part; but every now and again we crave a meat dish be it pot roast, meat balls, or a hamburger. We are always reluctant to buy meat even if we want it. We bought a pound of ground beef for burgers last night and the meat was excellent! The burgers were memorable which makes it easier to buy again. Thank you HEB. Thank you butcher. HEB is my favorite grocer and has been since you came to town.

So disappointed in this store compared to San Antonio HEBs. Bought some steaks and they were hands down the worst I have ever eaten...very cheap quality of meat products at this location, cheap cow cuts and and an over abundance of offal. Never enough open lanes, and when a lane does open the cashier doesnt let the people that have been waiting the longest the first opportunity to be checked out. Ill be changing stores.

on your way to South Padre Island you go to HEB first - then go to the Condo/Hotel - always great service, great prices and always ask if you cant find something and people will GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP. awesome customer service, great staff and clean, cool, store
