I had my car serviced at Pugmire Ford from late November to early December 2014. Overall I did not have a positive experience with Pugmire and would never bring my car to be serviced there again. There were several issues with my car (it needed a new fuel rail and the check engine light code indicated a TPS problem) but it took them about three weeks to figure out what was wrong with the car and to fix it. While I understand that it takes time for parts to be ordered and whatnot, three weeks is an insane amount of time to wait for a car to be serviced. Had Pugmire provided a loaner vehicle, this would not have been such an issue, but of course they do not offer loaner cars to service customers. So for about three weeks I had to have friends and family take me to work and to school, a major inconvenience especially around the holidays. My understanding is that the mechanics at Pugmire are either incompetent or do not have enough training, because they replaced the computer in my car when the computer didn’t even need to be replaced! They just guessed what was wrong with the car until they got it right (it was actually the fuel rail). They ended up taking the new computer out and just putting the old one back in, which of course add a week onto my overall wait time. When they finally got my car fixed, my bill came out to around $1300. For a college student making about $8 an hour, I literally cried when I got this bill! The very worst part of this situation happened the day after I got my car back. Pugmire told me that they had done a brake inspection and that I would need to replace my brakes in about a month. I already knew it was about time to get new brakes, but since they told me my brakes would last me the month, I just decided to hold off on replacing them until after the holidays. Well the day after I got my car back I drove to downtown Atlanta to visit family in town and when I was driving down a busy highway my right brake started to fail! I had to have an emergency brake job in the middle of the city at night. Being a 20 year old female in an unfamiliar area in the dark, one can imagine how frustrating and terrifying this situation was. The old brake pad that came off my car was literally metal-to-rotor and destroyed my right rotor. So basically Pugmire Ford didn’t even bother to actually check my brakes by taking the six seconds to remove the wheel and actually look, they just “eyeballed it” and told me I had a month. The bottom line: Don’t trust Pugmire to service your car. Customer satisfaction clearly doesn’t mean anything to these guys, and your safety could be in jeopardy if you listen to their recommendations. Shame on Pugmire mechanics.

Spent about an hour and a half discussing the purchase of a used truck. I was told the “internet/best” price was “X”, which was the original price on the window/inventory sticker of the trucks windshield. Seemed odd at the time as I have purchased several trucks and have never paid what was on the window. I brought that up to the salesman to which his reply was “Sorry, that’s our internet/best price”. That coupled with the fact this dealership was offering me 3k less than several other dealerships and internet research stated should be the fair price for my trade in, I decide to walk out and not purchase the truck. 2 hours later, I look at their Cartersville location’s website, to find the SAME truck I was looking at for 3k less than what the Carrollton location stated was their internet/best price. I called the salesman in Carrollton only to be told the truck was now on its way back to Cartersville but they could bring it back if I wanted it for that price. Hahaha… Keep in mind this was 2 hours after I walked out. That’s almost 6k I would have potentially lost. While Im sure not every experience ends like this, it pays to be an informed consumer. Do your research. I will be taking my cash to another dealer, as Pugmire will not earn my business with experiences like this.

2 years ago I purchased a car from Thorton Road Kia. It was an all day process where I walked away feeling screwed. They wore me down until I paid their price..after agreeing to my price, they increased the price by $20 here and $20 there until I just gave up. I will not be going back there. A week ago, we had the opposite experience at Pugmire. We set our price and they did not accept at first. We left and had lunch. During lunch my wife received a few phone calls to negotiate. We walked away feeling successful. We love our new 2017 Ford Explorer and the new relationship we have with this great business.

We purchased a pre owned Lincoln MKX from Pugmire Ford in Carrollton Ga . 02/13/2017 We were treated like we were real important customers. My sales Consultants were Mark, and Lamar .The sales Mgr. was Tom Lewis he worked hard to make the deal come together . My Finance Mgr. was Dave and he also worked to bring a happy ending to the purchase experience. My over all experience was one of the best car deals I have ever had . Drove four hours, eight hour round trip. To purchase a preowned truck. Was told it was clean and nice. Get there. The truck has wires hanging from under the dash, wires ran all over the engine. Holes in the truck bed. Headliner was absolutely ruined and the entire interior was scratches and stained all over. Truck was only 4 years old and looked like it was 20 years old. Also a dealer that leaves cut wires hanging everywhere makes you wonder how much they care.

In my experience, the service Ive received there has always been good, but they need to implement an online appointment system for service, since it is very hard to get through on the phone. I appreciate that they are so busy that customers often get a recording, but an online appointment system would alleviate some of that--or else they need to hire more staff to man the phones in the Service Department.

My new car has more standard features than my old current car! I love the addition of Sirius Satellite Radio and the backup camera. Purchasing my car at Pugmire Ford was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend going for both used and new car needs and make certain to ask for Sammy. Great man, great location, great service!
