Think there is scum at Walmart? My friend had a crab in her panties about this place, so I went and checked it out for myself.... What weve got here, is an otherwise decent looking store, that I may consider paying a visit to --on desperate occasion---.... the big BUT is this: the riff raff is shocking here; there are folks that will honestly spook you for days lurking in this store .... I was there for ten minutes and I saw two different sets of people yelling at each other. One was a great gentleman wearing a pair of his finest pajamas, no shoes and had a tattoo on this neck reading: "hellz yeah!" He was telling his young son that he was going to get a beating if he didnt shut up. Then in the parking lot, there was an adorable woman shouting and calling people "lazy" because a cart was rolling by her car. She was in perfect shape, of course, and looked like she went well out of her way on a regular basis..... I loved hearing her shrill yells until I was about a mile away..... Anybody giving this place 5 stars, is either working with the company and is desperate to promote it, or they really need to treat themselves once in a while.

Just moved here from California and had never experienced a store that was employee owned! What a wonderful experience. We are coffee snobs and their bulk dark roast coffee is extraordinary. Also we had been looking all over Denton for Poke (a raw tuna dish-not the game LOL) and Winco has it. The spicy version is some of the best we have ever eaten. The sushi was very fresh and since I am allergic to the seaweed wraps they quickly made us a platter using rice paper! So much to look at that it will take several visits to see it all. Prices are amazing. And the employee owners are there to help with a friendly smile. Give this store a try you will absolutely love it! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

My first visit was disappointing, the young female checker couldnt WAIT to go on break and even though I am in a wheelchair? Didnt offer to help bag, nothing. It was pay me, and she literally ran from the cashiers post. So I gave it one more try. David was WONDERFUL and other staff were equally helpful. So even though my first impression was not good because of a staff person who failed to see that my own physical limitations make shopping painful and hard, other staff were gracious, accommodating, and the prices on most items cant be beat.

I just spoke with Brandon at the new WinCo in Denton. I told him I was calling to try to get some watermelons for our local football teams two-a-days that they were having. Brandon was so nice and so helpful and he said yes he would love to help out and even if the store didnt that he would pay for it out of his own pocket. 10 watermelons what a nice guy makes me think real well of this new store in town and were glad to have them as a local member of our community

This place.. I dont even have words. Every time I come here, not just the employees, but also the customers are extremely nice! People have let me ahead of them in line and I see customers sharing change with each other so they dont have to break a dollar. Its truly a beautiful place unlike any other Ive ever experienced. Not to mention the great prices and BULK PASTA AND SPICES?! Literally a dream come true.

Though very busy due to the grand opening weekend we had a pleasant experience. The prices are below Kroger, Albertsons, Target and Wal Mart. Prices are on par with Aldi or a tad higher. The produce is incredibly fresh with good selection. The bakery was surprisingly good. Definitely a notch better than Kroger or Wally World bakeries. My wife loves the bulk section. It needs a Starbucks.

Wow this place is slow, 7 hours and counting on a Monday morning. Ive yet to hear what my lumper fee will be, but from other reviews itll be spendy. Ive been to winco DCs before and been in and out in under two hours with reasonable lumper fees. The only reasonable excuse for this is its so new theyre still training new people.

This place is great and the prices are drop dead low. Anybody that doesnt give this place five stars is just looking for anything and everything, you can never please these type of people. The staff is great the selection is great the store is clean and entrances and exits are great. Keep it up WinCo team I enjoy shopping here!

Been here twice and its been the same both times Ive been here. Extremely slow I mean sloooooow their lumper charge is a lot too. If your late you need to pay a fine as well before getting unloaded. Thats what happened to a driver that was checking in before me. Not trucker freindly.

Such a cool store and great that its employee owned! They have a huge array of items, and the prices are right on par with or maybe even a little bit lower sometimes than WalMart! Definitely a better place to shop than the big store across University.

Love em! This is my first choice for groceries and then Sams for bulk buying. Winco is clean, organized, and their staff actually are attentive and friendly. Thats what sets them above in opinion, outside of their prices, its their staff.

The store overall is great and you cant beat their prices. But I was disappointed with their customer service. The lady at the self-checkout was too rude to answer my question and looked annoyed which was not pleasant. Very disappointing.

The bulk food is well priced with lots of different things like cereal, rice, coffee, and nuts. The meat looks fresh and at a fair price that beat any other grocery in the area. I plan on making this my main stop from now on.

They dont accept credit cards, so they lost my business. Seriously, is this the 21st century?! I dont know how you can run a business nowadays and not accept credit cards. Guess its back to the dirty Krogers around this town

You can arrive only 4 hours early! But their receiving doesnt open till 0500. So you can arrive at 0100 for an 0500 apt but you wont check in at receiving until 0500. Very slow. Two hours to unload 1 pallet. Come-on.

I enjoy shopping at your store. I live in axle but when I do come to Denton 3 or 4 days a week I stock up . The employees are always so helpful.. I cant walk by one without them saying how are you today Sir.

I love the bulk food section. Many of the shelf products are at lower prices than Kroger or Walmart, but the best savings are definitely found with WinCo brand products and items packaged in store (deli).
