The sales experience went fantastic. It was after the purchase that we see the true colors of Hertz and really of those that represent Hertz. I bought a car at the San Pedro location and after taking it home, about the 3rd day I noticed a defect at the steering wheel, the control panel that houses the cruise control function and other tasks was a bit separated from the center, where it should be snug at the center rubber piece. I called Eric the sales person I dealt with and he stated that he would talk with manager, he never got back to me. I called again and texted several more times, at least he was honest and told me he had totally forgotten. He then talked with the manager who stated that they would talk to the people they use to service their cars and that they would ask them to give me a good price on addressing the part on steering wheel. This is something they should address, not have me haggling to negotiate a price with service providers in order to fix a part that was their fault in the first place. I give them a 1 star because although the sales went smooth and I was really satisfied, Hertz, Vexco as represented by management did not stand behind a car that they represented in a sale, second purchase by the way, that they should have taken care of. Instead they just dismissed me and never addressed the situation again. If you read this and you work at BAMC please feel free to contact me through the e-mail service. I will be happy to let you know why they will never see me buy a third car from them, which I will be in the market for next year. You might pay a little bit more but I have learned that Enterprise would have handled it and taken care of the customer, especially one like me who had just bought the car only 3 days back, as explained to me by one of their staff. If you are tempted because of the prices, dont be, look at the competition. Hertz will not pay attention unless its mechanical, or power-train, they are stuck in those 2 lanes, which is why there will not be a 3rd time for me. Shame on you Hertz, and do not rent from them either, look into the the companies Hertz represents and stay away. In the end you will be glad you did.

Over the past four months, I have dealt with three employees of Hertz Car Sales. Out of the three, I have had my vehicle for almost FOUR MONTHS and I STILL do not have license plates or my title. Upon speaking to the manager, Albert, three weeks ago, he promised me a call back at exactly 9am the following morning. He never called me back. Ive called and requested to speak with him two other times and he is never available. Jodie, the woman who processes title transfers always seems to be off on her "early day" and also does not return calls. I sent the same document three different times stating the authorization to purchase the vehicle. Erik, our salesman, has been communicative (unlike the rest of the staff) but is also incapable of providing me with the documents and tags they are LEGALLY BOUND to provide to the customer within 30 days. Vehicle was paid in full on the day of the sale. I can comment further to say that, like another customer of Hertz Car Sales, the tank was half empty, the stickers had not been removed, residual gunk from countless rental stickers remained and the cars exterior was dirty. Do not purchase from this dealership.

Russell was great. He had great follow up and is overall a great salesmen. HOWEVER, things did not go very smooth at all. Hertz as a corporate process required a lot before we could take the car. After the 4th visit (one of those were under my own accord) we were finally able to take the car. When we finally got to pick up the car (Russell was off that day but was still willing to go pick up the check) they were still we questing documentation that was already sent. Also, I just assumed (my fault for assuming) being a rental return it would have two keys and being in the car industry before, expected the adhesive to be removed for the inside of the window, washed, and full of gas.(REVISED) Dropped this down to a one star. Three weeks after having the car and only driving 300 miles the breaks started squealing. The short story is they wouldnt do anything even though the pads in that short time dug into the rotors! My question is how did they not know the break pads were that low when they are required to check the breaks to pass safety?

Russell Frier is every horrible thing that you have ever heard about car sales persons incarnate. He was sneaky, rude, and unprofessional. After driving an hour and half to see a car we were told that someone had come in two minutes before us and had purchased that same car. Russell had been expecting us and had even texted us to check in before we got there, but he neglected to let us know that the car was not actually available. We were obviously upset and he became very defensive and condescending. He told us that he had another identical car, but it turned out that this car was priced much higher than the one we wanted. It was a classic bait and switch. Do not waste your time there.

Ease and convince. Two words I never thought Id use when buying a car but here at Hertz Car Sales the price is upfront and available online. No additional dealer fees (except the required tax, title, etc) or hoops to jump through. If you find yourself interested in coming here for assistance in buying a car, ask for Michelle Austin. She went above and beyond with me there to make sure I understood every step of the way and answered ANY questions with honesty and integrity. Ive had my car for about a month now, runs great! I highly recommend this place (and Michelle) for any of your car purchasing needs.

In short - great prices. We bought a car from here which was $1000 below every other dealer in town (identical mileage etc) These guys have ZERO frills (no free popcorn or even coffee) but Id rather save my money than have an extra free coffee. We are driving the car for 4-5 months now without any problems. One wise decision we took was to get a loan from our own bank instead of their loan- saved us a lot of money. These guys were nice about everything else - would definitely recommend buying from here.

No drama here. The car wasnt detailed, it came with one key and half a tank of gas. Thats about $100 of stuff and I paid $3000 less than another dealer. The paper work took a little while but they were very busy and selling a lot of cars, which tells me people have realistic expectations and appreciate the value that theyre getting. I wasnt expecting a massage or a free bottle of wine, just to buy a used car for $3000 less.

Fast and easy car buying experience with superb follow-up customer service. We drove over 2 hours from Corpus Christi to purchase a vehicle here because of their competitive pricing and their 12 month/12,000 miles warranty on every car. When we arrived they had the car ready and we were in and out in under an hour! You cant ask for a better car buying experience!
