Love this grocery store unfortunately there staff behavior yesterday was completely reckless and dangerous. While helping my mother out with a full cart of groceries, the imprudent bag boy failed to stop for oncoming traffic detracted by trying to catch up and chat with a departing coworker. It was then he haphazardly ran a heavy cart into my mothers ankle leaving her foot under the cart. Shocked by the situation the female coworker quickly left the scene and the bag boy was not of any help at all. My mother was left alone to hobble back into the store, after just injured by a Nob Hill employee. Once inside, not one person was prepared to help her. The staffs reaction was slow and unsympathetic. I had arrived on the seen after a few minutes past to see my mother on a mobility scooter with her leg propped up uncomfortably on the edge of a basket balancing a bag of ice. Not even a paper towel on the ice to bring an illusion of comfort. The behavior of the worker who injured my mom was completely reckless and the reaction of the staff was utterly despicable. Only after I displayed my concern with the outlandish actions that were exhibited today did the manager offer to assist us out to my mothers car. I am extremely disappointed in the actions of the entire staff of Nob Hill foods. I can only hope that they take future precautions to prevent injuries they cause their customers, as well as, teach their employees how to deal with an injured patron.

Upscale grocery store with a bank, pharmacy, Peets Coffee, deli and everything else you want. Full service grocery store for sure. The people who work here are helpful and polite to customers. There are some things I like to shop here for that are not available at other grocery stores. They make sushi to go and have a good salad bar. You can eat it at the tables in front of the Peets coffee area. Watch out for high school kids in the parking lot and their parents who dont know how to drive in a parking lot.

I give Nob Hill 4.5 stars, I rounded up. Sometimes they are 5-star worthy though. I really like this place. They have great produce and meat. I tried so hard to save money by going to Walmart but the produce and meat rots sooo fast that it costs a fortune to shop there, so I guess Im saying you get what you pay for. I say 4.5 lately because the avocados arent always nice, but when they are consistently nice they are great too. I will edit this if the avocado selection is more consistently awesome again.

This store is very clean and well organized. The biggest problem is they always are out of milk, they have it in back but you have to go up front and get a manager to call someone to come stock it. The meat department is great. They have the best bacon in the meat counter. The store has come a long way in the organic foods, with everything from meat, fruit & vegetables to dairy products. We shop there at least 2-3 a week. The cashiers are some of the nicest people, you get to know them my name.

Sunday evening, did grocery shopping for the week. I was surprised at how busy the place was. (I usually shop on weekday afternoons.) Shelves were well stocked, and the cut-up veggies and fruits looked fresh and were plentiful. The store was as clean as ever. My only complaint is that the young man who checked me out looked kind of glum, very unlike the bagger who was cheery and talkative. A little friendliness makes the chore a lot easier!

Disappointed that Nob Hill no longer is sending out their weekly ads. Their website is one of the worst Ive ever dealt with - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt, so most of the time its difficult to view the weekly ad or Top Picks sales items. Im really sorry that business has gotten so bad they can no longer afford weekly ads for their customers. Guess Ill go back to shopping at Lunardis.

Im going weekly to this store for many years and Ive developed a sort of friendly relationships with several of their people. There is this sort of myth that their prices are higher than Safeway or other chains but in fact I think they are equally priced or less pricey compared to most of the other chains especially when you consider their specials.

Everything is VERY fresh! Meats, deli products, vegetables and dont forget Sushi made daily ($5 on Mondays) with most friendly, always smiling, Sushi Chefs. Everyone in the store is very friendly and I know some of them for more than 20 years, The most recent remodeling keeps all meats and cheeses behind the glass door. The best store in the area.

After the remodel, the Nob Hill is as good as any of the specialty Grocery Stores! They have great deals in the Meat and Fish department at the beginning of the week, and good specials spread out throughout the store. They have tried hard to be competitive with the larger box grocery stores, and I think they are succeeding!

Very modern and clean interior. Well organized isles and exceptional staff make this grocery store my preferred shopping location for anything they have on their shelves. Bakery, Butcher, Pharmacy, Bank, and Gardening and the all important Peets Coffee.

My whole family loves shopping at NobHill. FRIENDLY . CLEAN. GREAT SELECTION OF PRODUCE, MEAT, DELI AND SPECIAL IMPORTED PRODUCTS. Shout out to Ray at the meat counter. His great smile and cordial manner always brightens our day!

I am extremely disappointed with the pharmacist Hanna. She is very rude and impatient with questions. When this issue was brought up with the office not much was done. I would have given a lower rating if I could.

Thank you Bakery Department, you have yet to fail me. Deli is not bad and I do recommend grabbing some food from the salad bar. Fresh and theres a nice variety. Plus theyve got a Petes coffee in there, sweet!

Great produce, bakery, and butcher. Clean and great staff. Unless you cant find it elsewhere this is not the store to buy alcohol/wine; more mark-up than elsewhere. Great pricing on high quality meats!

I guess the biggest Nob Hill in Bay area. Therere every service such as pharmacy, orange squeeze for juice....Only disadvantage for me was its hard to find Asian ingredient like tofu, mung bean sprout.

Its always crowded and is even more crowded since they closed the nob hill on Santa Teresa and Bernal which was better. Here they are rude. And they are always not paying attention to there job.

This store is no doubt the nicest in all of San Jose, or even the Bay Area. Really good service, especially from the baggers. Plus it has the cleanest and nicest look out of any store I know of.

Great for a quick trip, but make sure to use self checkout as it can take a while for cashiers to unload groceries from the cart, scan, bag, & place back in the cart.
