I placed my order, waited 2-weeks, and tried like crazy to call them. Their 800 number is always "experiencing high call volumes", so you have to call their direct number if you want to get through. I got some story about how the company had to shut down for 6-days while they installed a new order system, even though the site said nothing about it. I was given new tracking numbers, but when I tried the tracking system on the site, it never worked. Then I looked at the code on the tracking page... not a real tracking page, just a dummy .php interface. Like it LOOKS real, but it cant track anything because it doesnt connect to anything. Now its 4-weeks out from my 7-10 day order, and I cant get through to them on any number I try calling. These guys are not operating entirely above board. Maybe they do ship merchandise to some consumers, but not to me. Google them real quick, and maybe toss in the term "scam" or "fraud" and see the myriad complaints from other consumers if you want a better picture.
I have continuous problems receiving my orders on time, even though I pay for expedited delivery. I contacted Blair customer service and a representative emailed me back stating that it was not there issue, and I needed to take it up with Federal Express. My reply to this condescending response to my concern over my order was...No, I believe you should contact Federal Express. This is who you choose to do your shipping with! Your attitude about placing fault and not listening to the customers disappointment, well its disappointing. You probably do not care to lose one customer, feeling that there are many to replace me. This is also your choice. I wont be back!
I have been shopping Blair stores and catalogs for approximately 40yrs.now. In all those years I have never had a problem with them. The merchandise they offer are good quality and good prices. The staff has always been friendly and very accommodating. I recently placed an order on line. I was told my order would arrive about 7-10 days after ordering. I received my order within 4 days. Never have I received an order that quickly WITHOUT using expedited shipping. I will continue shopping Blair, store and catalog, for as long as I can. I am 67yrs old and hope to still have a long and satisfied relationship with the Blair Co.
I noticed that 7 months ago the ratings dropped from 5 stars to ONE! I concur with the new rating. Products are still good but customer service IS NOT! I received a letter from a "manager", I tried to call that number, IMPOSSIBLE to get through. I faced a barrage of CSRs and no one would put me through the person concerned. As a former legal professional I was about to escalate that issue but a male CSR a little sharper than the others received the message and eventually I was directed to a competent person, if not to the Lord anointed "supervisor" KEEP AWAY from Blair from now on." VERY poor customer service.
IF YOU HAVE MONEY AND TIME TO THROW AWAY BUY THEN GET INTO BUSINESS WITH THIS UNRELIABLE SECRETIVE NO OPEN PHONE/FAX COMPANY. STAY AWAY! there is no lower rating the one-star
