Avoid this Jewel like you would the Black Plague. Ive been going to this Jewel, on and off for 15 years. (No more) Sunday, 11-6-16, 2:00 in the afternoon: My misadventure at Jewel (Rolling Meadows on Kirchoff) begins...journey with me. Very few cars in the lot...awesome. Enter at produce...no carts. Trek to the other entrance...no carts. Return to the parking lot (should have left then) find a cart and re-enter the Jewel. (Second time this has happened past two weeks) Need 2 limes and the only limes available were bulk by the bag. Had to buy 8 limes (what to do with the other six)? Need Russet potatoes. By the bag...only option available. (No price posted) You will discover that "No Price Posted" is a common occurrence throughout the store. Head over to deli...three people ahead of me, two already being served. Take a number. 15 minutes elapse, during which time the deli staff peaks to six then to five employees. (Dawn of the Dead) I walk away...the only employee actually paying attention to customers apologizes. Says hes sorry...no, Im sorry for you...youre doing the job of six. Head over to the butcher...2 people in line, 1 butcher on duty. The store is virtually empty. Two more people show up, one of whom asks me, "are you the next in line?" I reply, "Im not sure." She announces "Then Im going next!" [laughter] The butcher immediately takes her order despite the fact that there are at least two customers are ahead of her. I walk away. Checkout. "Did you find everything alright?" "No," I reply. My response is ignored. "I need a twenty-one," she calls to the next cashier. The next cashier is not happy about being called away from her line, and lets it be known. Again, the store is nearly empty. Well, thats the short version. This is not an aberration. This is a common experience at the Jewel on Kirchoff Rd. in Rolling Meadows. Major foul-ups in descending order. A zombie staff. Prices not labelled. Staff exhibits zero personality or ambition to simply do a good job. A fish rots from the head down...this is a management issue. 25% of the time, I bag my own. (Under-staffing and/or poor utilization of existing staff. Do your self a big favor. (even if you have to drive an extra 5-10 miles) Shop somewhere else! Im heading over to Marianos. I had to click on one star to have this review accepted. My actual rating is ZERO out of Five Stars.

HeXeN thrash

This is probably the worst jewel in illinois, most of the employees are ok but the managers are especially rude. Things are run very unprofessionally and its the managers to blame. I have been in the store while a handicapped employee was causing a minor distraction and the manager said shut up and do your job. He was just making noises as he was bagging and she was very mean to him.

Maria Lozal in Floral was wonderful in preparing a boquet for my granddaughter. I tried to take the Jewel Survey to compliment her, but I had trouble with the connection. Might be because I flew to Ireland Sunday night and I am now in Dublin. Maria selected the Pink and white flowers and put them together so that they were perfect for a three year old. Fine job Maria!

Depressing store. I stopped doing my main grocery shopping here. Some employees are helpful, some dont even smile. Ive also brought balloons in to get filled and the young gal who helped me told me 5 minutes and then she started helping another customer. Then 2 of my 5 balloons popped before I even got to my car.

Weird standoffish behavior they decided to kick me out at 11:59, cause I wanted to use the washroom and menacingly approached me like I was a threat. Hilarious cause I probably make 3x any of those employees. Totally lovely people though lol wouldnt expect any more in a suburb like this to be honest

Chris started bagging my groceries and just left to attend another customer- I ended up bagging the rest no request to help to my car . Unacceptable customer service will never come to this store again.

Continue to have only one person serving costumers at deli ....while other employees are making trays and chatting to each other. Only two checkers open. Why is this Jewel so short handed?????

Its kind of small compared to other Jewels, so the selection isnt great and the prices are a bit high for some things. Though theres a small produce section, they usually have great selection.

The store has been upgraded this past month. A Starbucks has been added for convenience. There is more variety in the produce section. There does seem to be a lot of employee turnover though.

My mymix did not take off the ptoducts. The cashier was just giving her friends to do the survey on rating her permfomance and telling them to give her a 10

Good prices, good produce, extremely convenient. Only con is the deli department, they are understaffed and unmotivated. It takes for ever to get lunch meet

Over-priced and inventory is inconsistent. Staff is often less than friendly. We only shop here when we dont have time to go anywhere else.

Careful in the flower section...signage is designed to confuse (and rip you off). If its not clear, ask!
