My only complaint with this Jewel is that the organization of food is a tad bizarre. Sometimes you have to go looking for a while before you can find certain items--its not always intuitive. Why, for example, wouldnt they put tortillas with the Hispanic food? Wouldnt that make sense? But no, the tortillas are in their own spot, across the store from the black beans and salsa and tortilla chips. And if you want low-carb tortillas, well, theyre in a different place. Whoever is in charge of deciding where things should go has a very different world view than I do, apparently. And if that werent enough, they keep changing things! So just when you get used to going to aisle 3 for your burrito ingredients and then trekking over to aisle 8 for the tortillas and then back to the middle of aisle 2 for low-carb tortillas for your 16-year old, they switch things around, and you have to figure out the new system. Other than that, this place is fantastic.

Staying in carol stream recently, we looked for somewhere to buy some small food items and drinks. We are so glad we found Jewel-Osco. There are many choices for drinks, fresh fruit, a great salad bar, and also a deli with made to order sandwiches, and good fried chicken. Staff is friendly and helpful, and we also took home one of their eco friendly shopping bags, only $1.99, for a Cubs fan neighbor. One night, walking off our dinner, we stopped in and found their large cake slices were the perfect dessert to share in our hotel room. We bought a small milk, a large piece of chocolate cake, and after 15 seconds in the rooms microwave..Viola, fresh cake..total yum! Less expensive than a steak house dessert, and many delicious flavors to choose from. This store is great for finding a quick bite, a snack to enjoy in your room,, or anything else you might need.

My husband and I just went to this Jewel to buy champagne for New Years Eve and when my husband went to purchase the alcohol the cashier said that she needed to see my ID as well. I had left my purse in the car since it was a quick trip and she said that she would not sell the alcohol to my husband unless I produced my ID as well. I had to go out to my car get my ID for them to sell the alcohol to my husband! What if we had a child with us--would we not be allowed to purchase alcohol for ourselves? Needless to say, the discrimination and demanding nature of the event is enough to sour us from going back again. I believe the law states that the purchaser needs to produce an ID, not everyone in the line.

I cant really say how my experience inside the store went because the employees locked the doors early. I had to pick up some pedialyte for a sick child and would have taken just a minute or two to run in. It was 7 minutes before they closed and the clock inside the store (I saw it from the window) said I still had time. However, the employees just looked at me and shrugged through the glass and went back to chatting with each other. They didnt come to let me in when I knocked on the door. I will not try to shop here again.

I like shopping at this Jewels but a lot of us black people fill out application for a job & never gets hired i have nine years experience in grocery & i got turned down. I have applied since moving to Carol stream about 7 time, i got two interviews, i have cashier & stock experience nine years in grocery i see he never hire black people & i have talk to other people & they said the same thing its very sad after all these years we still go through this

I love this Jewel! I have been going here for years and have never had a problem with anything. The place has just been revamped and looks great. If you need anything from the store or pharmacy, I would go here! They have a wonderful staff as well! Helpful and nice, always! I appreciate the staff, and the availability of the items they offer in that store. Thank you Jewel for helping my family get so much good food, so close to home!

Im going to sum it up quickly,this Jewel sucks,employees are rude and unprofessional,most of the times they are spacing out,on occasions they wont even pack your groceries (not that I expect that) ,some of them tend to mouth of when called on it,there is rarely any form of appreciation for the customer but you will definitely encounter slower then average service.

So dis a pretty nice jewels. I personally go here to gets the dealz. Lots o variety, I just get whats on sales. They always has good chips and oh my goodness I love chips. Never have I seen a discount on the most legendary drink of all time, Arnold Palmer. But its got nice cashiers and good staff. B+ for dis Jewels.

By far THE BEST JEWEL OSCO EVER!!!!! Employees are respectful, very professional, and QUITE alert! Theyll pack my groceries when ever I want (not that I expect that), some of them tend to blush when I compliment them on it, I always feel appreciated, and you will definitely experience faster than average service.

Jewel is expensive to begin with, coupled with the UNSATISFACTORY customer service from the bakery and customer service staff I would not recommend this location. Go to Valli Produce, it is a mile from here, MUCH cheaper, better variety, and an overall better selection of quality produce.

Very nice store lots parking nice salad bar Prices are great + a nice selection of foods. Checkout was easy also . People at deli counter help out for an event I am having. That was a Time saver. Jewel always been a Great place to shop☺

Everything is okay besides the staff. Ive visited this specific location multiple times and have always walked away in a bad mood. Do not go to this location because there is one on army trail not to far away. Much better.

Not as big of a produce section as I prefer. But they Do have an awful lot of stuff... Just so long as youre willing to wait in line. Because they too, never seem to have enough cashiers although friendly.

This Jewel is right around the corner and is great for anything I might need for cooking and cleaning. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the express checkout runs very smoothly on my visits.

It was a good grocery shopping experience. The store has gone under some renovations and looks up to par with other grocery stores in the area. The people that work there were also friendly!

Not best prices. They do have almost everything you need but sometimes hard to find. Wish all canned good were one isle of bread, instead they make you run around a bit
